Hi Ed002, Are Arsenal looking to move on Gabriel Jesus, which team might be interested? And who could be Arsenal's first choice striker if Jesus (and Nkettiah) are moved on?

Thanks as always mate.

 0

{Ed002's Note - Gabriel Jesus (F) Arsenal are not looking to sell GJ but if a significant offer is made they will consider it. There is no clear interest at this time and the player will likely not be attracted to the Middle East just yet for fear he will lose his place in the Brazil squad.
Eddie Nketiah (S) If Arsenal can add Toney EN will be allowed to leave. Crystal Palace offer an option. Brentford may be interested in a part exchange.

Toney will remain first choice but there is interest from elsewhere and Arsenal have other options.}

That's brilliant info as always Ed002. Could you tell us the other options Arsenal have apart from Toney like you mentioned?

 0

{Ed002's Note - Something like this:
Ivan Toney (S) Brentford do not want to sell but are aware Toney may look to move up a step and will reluctantly look to perhaps £70M as a sale price in the summer but may have to accept less. Newcastle - if they can sell their project to him given - offer the chance of a return to the club who previously could find no use for him in the three years he was there. Arsenal, Leeds, Manchester United, Spurs, Chelsea and West Ham have all sent scouts on more than one occasion to watch him prior to his ban, but Chelsea have preferred options meaning Arsenal are likely best placed to complete a transfer. A wildcard might be Spurs or Manchester United.
Benjamin Sesko (S/F) RBL could be offered a quick profit. His agent has not stopped offering the player around since his move to RBL. Described by a well known ex-Premier League player and high-end scout as "raw but improving". Was on the list for Spurs as a potential Kane replacement and Newcastle enquired. Chelsea spoke with his agent but have preferred options. A wildcard may be either Manchester United or Arsenal. Will probably not be available in January with Werner departing unless a replacement is added.
Borja Mayoral (S) Attracting attention from London with Fulham, Arsenal and West Ham declaring an interest after sending scouts.
Ollie Watkins (S) Agent is looking for options and has spoken with Arsenal.
Ivan Toney (S) Brentford do not want to sell but are aware Toney may look to move up a step and will reluctantly look to perhaps £70M as a sale price. Newcastle - if they can sell their project to him given - offer the chance of a return to the club who previously could find no use for him in the three years he was there. Arsenal, Leeds, Manchester United, Spurs, Chelsea and West Ham have all sent scouts on more than one occasion to watch him prior to his ban. Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea may well start talks ahead of January, but Spurs and Chelsea have preferred options meanining Arsenal are likely best placed to complete a transfer.
Artem Dovbyk (S) Joined Girona in the summer of 2023 with the City Group planning on possibly moving him to Manchester City if all goes well. Chelsea and Arsenal have had scouts watch him but both have preferred targets. Potential Broja replacement for Chelsea.
Victor Boniface (S) Juventus have Bonface as a first choice Vlahovic replacement if needed. Barcelona may want him to replace Lewandowski. Probably first choice for Napoli to replace Osimhen. Arsenal and West Ham have sent scouts. Bayer Leverkusen would seek a huge profit if forced to sell. Player wants a move to Spain eventually but will likely see out another season in Germany.
Victor Osimhen (S) Napoli made it clear to Chelsea who enquired in 2021 that even €100M would not buy the player - but they do maintain an interest and he has been first choice and expect an offer to be made in the summer - they have already assured Napoli that they will pay his release clause in full – but that may change. Al Hilal may well have offered Napoli the huge fee they were looking for, but that may not suit the player just yet. Real Madrid could look to him as an option to Haaland but Madrid would want to offer players in exchange. He has signed a new contract and, at the behest of his agent, included a release clause. Arsenal have a preferred option and see the price as too high. PSG have him on a list of potential Mbappe replacements. If Manchester City were to lose Haaland, he would be an option. Manchester United may offer a wildcard option but the change of staff could end any interest. There is a suggestion that Liverpool have negotiated directly with the player and his agent and not spoken to Napoli. Given Napoli registered a complaint against Liverpool over another player last year, it would seem unlikely, or particularly stupid. In the players hands next summer - may decide to stay but there will be a return from Michael Emanalo with a very good offer but I understand that both PSG and Chelsea have already informed Napoli that remain keen - but Chelsea have not had a positive response from the player - perhaps because of the lack of Champions League football. Chelsea are already looking at options but could make a take-it-or-leave-it offer below his release clause with discussions over two other players going on between the clubs.
Dusan Vlahovic (S) Only joined in January 2022 but financial issues that Juventus now have will determine if he is to be sold in the summer – but they will hold out for €70M. His agent has approached Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG. Real Madrid are also keen but, like Chelsea, have preferred targets. Chelsea were open to an exchange of players last summer but right now there is no push as his wage demands are seen as excessive and they will look to other targets first. PSG have him as a possible Mbappe replacement - but not first choice - but don't lose sight of them. As a wildcard, Atletico Madrid or Arsenal may rekindle interest but would likely want to include players in any deal. Juventus have already drawn up a list of potential replacements and are working on those even though they are working on another new contract. Karim Benzema (S) Wants to move away from Al-Ittihad with agent offering him to higher profile clubs. His club could block a loan and wage costs will be an issue. Outside chance could drom his wage demands and move to Lyon if they pay his outstanding tax bill. Approaches made to Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.
Santiago Gimenez (S) Having another good season at Feyenoord and attracting interest of Milan, Arsenal, Chelsea, Lille, Spurs, Juventus, Real Madrid, Napoli and Eintracht Frankfurt. He has become the first choice Harry Kane replacement for Spurs after they lost out on their preferred option in the summer but not first choice for Chelsea or Real Madrid - although don't discount either. Spurs have an advantage that Feyenoord are interested in a Spurs player, Barcelona may offer a wildcard option following a discussion between Deco and someone they are trying to recruit. Others, such as Atletico, Marseille, Crystal Palace and West Ham can be discounted. Lille and Eintracht Frankfurt would only be viable if they make significant sales and others drop out. Cost could be pretty high - they will look for perhaps €55M - ending interest of most of these clubs. Don't discount Arsenal, Milan or Napoli who are planning for life after Osimhen.
Alexander Isak (S) Newcastle have no intention of selling Isak but it is likely either Isak or Bruno Guimaraes may need to be sold to stay on the right side of the line for financial reasons. Barcelona see him as a potential Lewandowski replacement. Down the list of targets for Arsenal but Spurs may offer a solution.
Viktor Gyokeres (S) After only joining in the summer Sporting have no interest in selling but fear a club could simply pay his €100M buy out clause in full and try to persuade him to move. Sporting fear Chelsea may do that and have avoided the subject during discussions over another player and a separate issue. He has attracted scouts representing Manchester United and Arsenal with Arsenal possibly seeing him as an option to first choice Toney. Sporting are looking to a new contract and an increase in his buy-out clause.}

I don't want Jesus to move on. He's having an op in the summer I believe so he's obviously not at his best. I just love having him in the squad with his energy and drive.

Ed002 is it true we are interested in xavi simons?

 0

{Ed002's Note - Xavi Simons (AM/LW) PSG will talk to the player and assure him of game time and tell him he is not for sale but that may not be enough to convice him to stay. Barcelona would like him back but would need to persuade PSG to take players in exchange. RBL would like another loan which may suit all parties. Arsenal sent scouts but they have other priorities for the summer. Manchester City see him as another potential de Bruyne replacement. Chelsea have spoken with his agent to guage interest and may speak with PSG.}

If the rumours are true we are after a striker midfielder and a winger what is everyone’s realistic choice mine is
ST Gyökeres
CM zubimendi
Winger sane.

Striker - Isak

CM - assuming its to replace Havartz which I personally do not want but I would like Mason Mount at the club. I know a lot will disagree but I think he would excel in this arsenal team.

Winger - LW - any of
Brennan Johnson
Olise
Mitoma (not sure if plays on the left? )
Rafael Leão.

ST - Isak 100
ACM - De Jong 60
WG - Williams 40

and I think we will get Zubimendi 50 to replace Partey/ Jorginho
expecting quite a few sales.

I think the dutch market has a lot of value in it. The level is probably better than most people realize, the big clubs aren't as able (or perhaps willing) to hold onto their best players and i think the dutch football philosophy in general suits our style very well. So my pick for midfield would be Mats Wieffer from Feyenoord. Add in Ollie Watkins and we're all set imo. I see Jesus as a utility forward who can cover both wings and striker.

I knew the Mount comment would get some dislike 5kywalker and completely understand why people would.

I just think he could play that Xhaka role really well, he has obviously dropped off massively, but the version that was player of the season 2 years in a row would be amazing in our team.

I actually made a mistake with the Brennon Johnson comment, I was thinking about Gibb's-White. and forgot that Johnson when to the plonkers down the road.

Hello Ed002, Hope you're well mate. Is Frenkie De Jong available this summer? And are Arsenal interested in him?

What about Joshua Kimmich?

Thanks as always for your inputs.
Cheers.

 0

{Ed002's Note - Frenkie de Jong (CM/DM) Barcelona will look for a new contract with reduced wages else he will be sold in the summer with possible interest remaining from Manchester United if ten Hag stays. Bayern Munich and PSG have spoken with his agent and additionally his agent has raised his availability with Chelsea whist discussing another player.

Joshua Kimmich (DM) Bayern Munich may now make him available, a significant fee would be sought - well beyond what interested sides Barcelona or Manchester City would pay for a 28 year old on €400k per week although Manchester City may well look to find a solution that suits everybody. A wildcard option would be Manchester United or Arsenal. New coach will have a say at Bayern Munich.}

Yo Ed. Could Vlahovic be an option?

{Ed002's Note - Dusan Vlahovic (S) Only joined in January 2022 but financial issues that Juventus now have will determine that he is sold in the summer – but they will hold out for €70M. Hope we are all well! I keep seeing today Ed002 say if saka were to leave and so on. Surely there's no interest in selling him? Or does the player want to leave?

 0

22 Apr 2024 01:34:12
I wouldn't read into it anymore than - Olise needs to be first choice RW and Saka has basically locked down that position for the next 5-10 years.

20 Apr 2024 00:28:30
Hi ed, any interest in Olise for us? I know you have mentioned Toney as our first choice for up top. Any news on potential wingers?

 1

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of Arsenal interest but if Bukayo Saka were to leave it might be an option.}

Thanks Ed! Have a great weekend.

Evening Ed002,

Are Arsenal interested in Olise?

 0

{Ed002's Note - Michael Olise (RW/AM) PSG and Manchester City want him as cover although the departure of Mahrez will mean more opportunities now, but the RW position is effectively Foden's. If de Bruyne or Silva were to depart, he becomes an option again. Crystal Palace has no real interest in selling but know that Chelsea want to take Olise back to Stamford Bridge and Olise has made clear that one day he wants to be playing with his brother. Down the list of AM players Chelsea want but they will again perhaps push for him. His representative has said no other clubs have made an approach for Olise - but maybe Klopp's obsession with Chelsea Academy players will continue as Liverpool have sent scouts - but they will have preferred targets to replace Salah. Manchester United have also regularly sent scouts and he may end up first choice for them. I am not aware of Arsenal interest but if Bukayo Saka were to leave it might be an option. Will be available in the summer when a significant release clause will need to be met.}

{Ed002's Note - Ivan Toney will remain first choice at the moment.}

Hi ed002, do you know whether we'll be looking to offload Eddie or jesus as a consequence?

 0

{Ed002's Note - Eddie Nketiah (S) If Arsenal can add Toney EN will be allowed to leave. Crystal Palace offer an option. Brentford may be interested in a part exchange.}

03 Apr 2024 10:13:43
Ed002,
Have we initiated any contact re Martin Zubimendi?
Thanks.

 0

{Ed002's Note - Martin Zubimendi (CM/DM) Barcelona may still look to an offer although they are looking at preferred options first and would likely want to include a player in any deal. Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea have sent scouts with Arsenal declaring an interest with his club. Bayern Munich see the cost of his release clause as too high. Real Sociedad may look to refusing a transfer unless his buy out clause is met in full.}

Ed002 are we interested in amadou onana?

 2

{Ed002's Note - Amadou Onana (DM/CB/CM) Only moved to Everton in 2022 and they are not looking to sell him but with troubles mounting they may have to listen to offers. West Ham interest has moved on but Arsenal may look again after failing to agree alternatives, but they must now be seen as a wildcard option. Newcastle spoke with Everton in the summer and have failed to sign their primary DM/CM target but will return again this summer. Manchester United had him a long way down their list of targets but failed to sign preferred options in the summer and he may still be of interest, but I rather doubt it. Chelsea have him on a list of midfield options but not at the top, and Barcelona may look to some horsetrading but they have to deal with their own financial issues. Real Madrid may look to a player plus cash deal, but he would largely be used as cover. Another wildcard could be Bayern Munich if the cannot sign Palhinho - but they will have a new coach in the summer.}

Ed 02 are we still interested in Ivan Toney? Thank you.

{Ed002's Note - Yes. But options are being considered.}
