Hi Ed002, Are we interested in Ismael Bennacer from Milan?

IndianGooner

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

Thanks mate for your prompt response.

Ed002, Are Arsenal interested in Bowen?

Thanks for a prompt one mate, have a good weekend.

Are Arsenal interested in Grimaldi from Benfica Ed002?

IndianGooner

{Ed002's Note - Alex Grimaldo (LWB) Agent is looking to move him on - Newcastle have been approached. Not so sure he would be interested in providing cover at Arsenal as they scrape the bottom of the barrel.}

1.) 03 Jul 2022 21:44:09
Hi Ed I don’t mean any disrespect in this comment so please don’t take it the wrong way as I don’t mean anything by it, but I notice you have a lot of hatred towards arsenal and the people that run it, is there a reason for this, again I am not having a go or being disrespectful, it’s just a genuine question as I’ve seen it in a lot of your posts thanks have a great day.

{Ed002's Note - I have no hatred against Arsenal.}

2.) 04 Jul 2022 00:15:53
Ok thanks for the reply Ed have a nice day.

3.) 04 Jul 2022 12:36:34
I'm not sure who that's more insulting to, Arsenal or Grimaldo. If he is scraping the bottom of the barrel then that's fine. He's a good player and there could be a lot worse scrapings so to speak.

{Ed002's Note - Well down the list of LB targets.}

4.) 04 Jul 2022 16:11:41
Understood.

Other than Lisandro Martinez who can cover LB, please can you share who else we are monitoring Ed?

Thank you.

{Ed002's Note - I don't know what you mean by "monitoring". The club has looked at others with no luck.}

21 Jun 2022 12:03:35
Noticed this on the Liverpool page, what's interesting is that since the last time Ed002 told us about Raphina, it looks like we are now in talks and if a "good offer" is made he might be interested. Just pray we are not daft enough to put in that out of jail Barcelona card - (Also, thought I'll save some work for your Ed002 and post it here so that we don't keep asking the same question, I hope you don't mind) .

{Ed002's Note - Raphina (RW) Deco is working with his old club Barcelona to see through the transfer. The issue is that Leeds want a single cash payment of around €60M but Barcelona cannot achieve that at this point in time. Deco will offer him elsewhere but will ask for a "Barcelona" get out clause - one club has already rejected that. PSG were looking to Raphinha as one of their list of potential Di Maria replacements. The interest to Bayern Munich has gone. Interest of Liverpool would only be as an option to replace Salah and again they have not spoken with Leeds as Salah will be looking to rund down his contract. Chelsea have watched Raphinha as they are looking to change wide players but an offer seems unlikely unless the request for the clause is removed. Arsenal and Spurs have both been approached by Deco and Arsenal have spoken to Leeds as they have a pressing need to add a wide player. Leeds will look to resist but if a really good offer were made from any leading club then the player would likely be interested in a move. The player very much wants Barcelona. }.

IndianGooner

1.) 21 Jun 2022 13:40:24
so sign him for a year and he wants off to barcelona? no thanks let him go to Barcelona directly or wherever else he pleases.

2.) 21 Jun 2022 14:55:43
Agreed mate, I don't mind him coming as long as he doesn't not have any "Bye-I'm-Going-To-Barcelona" clause.

3.) 21 Jun 2022 16:05:18
I wouldn't mind the Barcelona clause with a few stipulations. Purchase after 1 year, 100% profit (ie £120mil) , after 2 years, 75% profit, 3 years 50% profit, 4 years 25%profit, then out of contact. Means they'd have to pay a premium if they want him and has to be a one off payment each time lol.

4.) 21 Jun 2022 22:21:23
Knowing how we have done sales it will likely be that we sell him for 10 million after a year.

18 Jun 2022 03:28:58
Hi Ed002, Juventus trying to offload Rabiot, do you see Arsenal interested?

IndianGooner

{Ed002's Note - Adrian Rabiot (CM) Juventus are looking to replace their midfield misfits (Arthur, McKennie, Ramsey and Rabiot) before the start of the season. They are looking to fund replacements they have already identified. Rabiot will, like every other player, be offered to Newcastle. A third party has been instructed to find him a new home and he can be used in part exchanges. He has been offered to Chelsea as part of a deal for any of several Chelsea players Juventus are interested in, but Chelsea want to keep transfers as clean as possible and may make a cash offer. With Manchester United struggling to find midfield players, he becomes a squad option. A return to PSG is seen as an option but PSG will have preferred targets. Approaches have been made to Barcelona - but they will look to others, and Arsenal who have a much preferred target. Everton, Newcastle and Spurs may provide unlikely options.}

1.) 18 Jun 2022 12:04:19
Ed, as always your knowledge is greatly appreciated, we’re getting some great insight of late.
I’ve two questions if you have the time to indulge.
Firstly, are you aware who this preferred midfield target is? I expect it’s Tielemans but after the Vieira deal who knows what’s in the works?
Secondly, and I appreciate you hate these speculative questions, but are you aware if there’s any merit to the reports that Arsenal are in a position to spend the type of money that would see all 5 rumoured targets (Jesus, Raphina, Vieira, Lisandro and Tielemans) sign for the club?
Again, I know you dislike these questions that are open to speculation, it’s just Ornstein and Romano have been quite vocal. I just prefer to hear it here before I take it seriously as acquiring all those players would represent a serious window and mean a massive push to get more players out to recoup part of that outlay.
Thanks in advance and enjoy your weekend.

{Ed002's Note - (a) Tes, Tielemans. (b) No.}

2.) 18 Jun 2022 13:02:51
Big thanks to Ed001,Ed002 and all the other Eds, its that time of the year where you all get a lot of requests and silly questions. i might be suspect no 1 there. just want to say thanks and keep up the amazing work, love the pages.

3.) 18 Jun 2022 13:06:34
Cheers Ed.

4.) 18 Jun 2022 15:06:13

Hello my fellow gunners!

So a quick update from the last time I asked on this forum for help on booking tickets for an overseas fan (me, duh) for the North London Derby on October 1st.

Instead of doing the Arsenal Red Membership as everyone suggested, I am planning to go for the hospitality club level premium (First 5 rows, mid-tier seats) . They are on the clock end near the away fans from what I have read.

Any particular things to keep in mind guys? Is behind the corner a better view or behind the goal or above the spurs fans?

I hope the noise and atmosphere are good there because the site I am booking from claims this to be one of the best views of the stadium.

I thought getting a confirmed ticket rather than trying to get one when I book via the website is better because that way at least I cash into my once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

What do you guys think? Any other good suggestions, pre-game pint, should I carry a bag, etc?

I will be going alone but you can not be alone really when you have 60,000 fans on the same team.

Needless to say I am super excited

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thank you, my guys.

#COYG.

{Ed014's Note - whatever you do I truly hope you have a fab day and the boys bring home the 3 points for you. Enjoy IG.

1.) 08 Aug 2022 14:10:51
Hope you have a great day IG and always remember wherever you sit you`re always above the Spurs fans! COYG :)

2.) 08 Aug 2022 14:43:47
Hello IG mate.
Tollington Arms near the Sobell Centre used to be good for a for a pre match pint but I haven't been there for quite a while. Get in the ground and get involved with the pre match singing and have a beer is great. But whatever you do have a great day and hopefully the lads will do the business for you
COYG.

3.) 08 Aug 2022 14:46:30
? love it Sussex!

4.) 08 Aug 2022 21:35:50
Have the greatest time IG, what an adventure ?.

5.) 08 Aug 2022 23:32:46
You get a corker of a view from wherever you sit in the Emirates IG. I normally go in the upper tier corner of the North Bank, but last season I was in the clock end for the Wolves game, and I have to say the atmosphere was superb.

6.) 09 Aug 2022 10:00:44
Sussex, BG, RSharpe, Sally and EG - Thank you for sending these positive vibes toward me. Thanks Ed014!

What I have to say is that, Funnily enough, I have been a poster and a reader here for the better part of the last decade and we guys might not have met but only you guys have truly understood my excitement - My first ever game at Emirates (hopefully, fingers crossed we win) and it is a big one. Believe you me I will be the last person to leave the Emirates that day, Soak it all in. Sometimes it may not be understood but This club means to me more than anything in the world, I don't even know why. As Stuart would say "This is my effing football club"

CCMMMMOOOOOON YOU GUNNNNEERRRSSSSS.

16 Jul 2022 13:39:18
Hi Ed001, what's your opinion on Zinchenko as a player and his suitability at Arsenal?

IndianGooner

{Ed001's Note - i think it is a very sensible signing. Actually a player you need of a quality good enough to improve the team. It is ideal as he can cover for Tierney but also play central mid, 2 positions you needed to fill and it is done with one player.}

1.) 16 Jul 2022 13:44:08
My feelings EXACTLY the same. Been really happy with the kind of business we've done this window. Has a freshness about it.

07 Jul 2022 21:59:17
Am I the only one who is a little underwhelmed by the Tielemans signing? (Potentially atleast) I mean, he's good and everything but he's not going to take us to the next level and he's not a lot better than Xhaka is he? Am I expecting too much from our CM alternative to Xhaka? What do you guys think?

IndianGooner

{Ed014's Note - don’t want him in the slightest, over rated, lazy and not what we need.

A waste of money!

1.) 07 Jul 2022 22:36:49
For what it`s worth (not much granted) IG and Ed I rate him but fear we will need another midfielder too. Lots of caps for Belgium so not awful. Is he lazy? Better not be VTH.

2.) 07 Jul 2022 23:24:19
Not sold on him myself fellas.
I couldn’t believe Tolisso was going for free and we didn’t even contest his signature.
The word is that Arteta and Edu overlooked Bissouma in favour of Tielemans and that he’s first choice so they’ll have to stand behind it.

3.) 08 Jul 2022 00:48:05
Sounds like choosing xhaka over kante all over again.

4.) 08 Jul 2022 08:35:16
I'm with you Suffolk he loks like very good player every time I've seen him.

5.) 08 Jul 2022 08:35:19
It might be that we need to sign two midfielders now with Partey moving on. I really was hoping we’d get rid of Xhaka but that looks increasingly unlikely.

6.) 08 Jul 2022 14:12:37
Well compared to Xhaka he will be a major upgrade, but then again, so would my Nan, once we dig her up. However, I can’t really see what he offers that Bissouma didn, t, for the same sort of price, but I can see a lot that Bissouma offered that Tielemans does not. Probably be one of our better “on the cheap” signings, as, like others have mentioned, he is a full international in a very strong team. Also, similar lazy comments were bandied about Ode, but I don’t think too many can say that about him now. So overall a bit meh, but secretly hoping to be very pleasantly surprised.

7.) 08 Jul 2022 15:14:20
I think he will do well but provided he is being brought in to play as an 8 and not relied upon for defensive duties. I think joining a new club will inject a new lease of life into him too. 25-30m for a premier league proven CM who has the skillset to fit into what Arteta is trying to create seems extremely low risk, and as others have said, he is definitely an upgrade on our other CMs.

8.) 08 Jul 2022 15:17:38
Completely different type of players. Tielemans much more on the front foot but still think we could have bought both at the prices. Particularly now if rumours to be believed VTH.

23 Jun 2022 13:59:21
Hi Fellow Gunners and Eds, I am a 28-year-old Arsenal fan for the last 18 years or so! I have regularly travelled to London, I stay in Southgate (near Arsenal) - Have visited the stadium a couple of times but have never been able to watch a game. It so happens that I will be travelling to London somewhere around the NLD (1st October) - I want some help from the regular match-goers:

- Where can I buy these tickets and when are they made available?

-Apart from that, Seems like North Bank is the noisiest, I want the best experience possible - Where can I have a nice pre-match pint and kebab and then proceed to the stadium? Which tickets should I go for?

Any help would be great. Thank you guys in advance! I am already excited even writing this message.

CMOOON ARSENAL.

1.) 23 Jun 2022 14:32:05
Hey bud!

I am also a 28 year old Arsenal fan!

For me, I was lucky enough to be able to go to my first 5 games last season! Until then all of my friends have supported other teams and it's a 460 mile round trip for me so have had never gone on my own.

I signed up to get myself a RED membership which I have done this season as well. You get priority access to tickets approx 6 weeks before the fixture. However, tickets are usually in the upper stands which are still brilliant seats! Tickets for big games like the NLD though are very difficult to get!

Your best bet for the NLD is to try and find a season ticket holder that cannot make the game. You would would need to be a RED member as a minimum because you then have access to ticket exchange. If someone else can't attend they can upload their tickets to ticket exchange and it can be transferred to you but for the NLD I imagine there won't be many available.

There are plenty of places to go for food but we get off the underground at Arsenal and head to The Coronet for beers beforehand. It's a glorified Wetherspoons but it's where a large number of fans go before the game. Usually there is a big screen with old Arsenal games on which causes a good atmosphere!

I hope you manage to get to a game mate!

2.) 23 Jun 2022 15:45:07
Could try Arsenal Tickets Facebook page! Unlikely to get NLD tickets but great page for other tickets ?VTH.

3.) 23 Jun 2022 16:57:27
I haven't been for years IG do I'm no help at mate, but I'm really excited for you and really you hope you get the tickets for the NLD mate ????.

4.) 23 Jun 2022 19:05:22
I’m also 28.

5.) 23 Jun 2022 20:28:44
Like Glenn i signed up as a member and got tickets on resale.

6.) 23 Jun 2022 21:36:56
That's excellent Banbury, well done mate, and to think this time last year you were 32, Wow 4 stone in 12 months is very impressive weight loss geezer ????.

7.) 23 Jun 2022 22:08:39
I grew up 1 mile from Highbury and was lucky enough to be around when you could pretty much just turn up and pay at the turnstiles, North Bank was a site to behold back then and a much better atmosphere than The Emirates.

8.) 23 Jun 2022 22:19:23
I’m also 28

Forget about the emirate’s

West lower at the marble hall was the place experience the NLDp.

9.) 24 Jun 2022 00:35:31
Horatia, down Holloway rd always great pre match beer, arsenal tavern on Holloway rd, Highbury barn or Tollington arms ?.

10.) 24 Jun 2022 00:38:24
Also, for kebab, if you have one after the game, head to Yildaz on Holloway rd, couple of doors away from arsenal tavern, unbelievable kebabs, read the reviews ?.

11.) 24 Jun 2022 16:47:12
As others have said, Red membership is good, as every game has some seats left for sale to red members before they go on general sale, of which the latter hardly ever happens for league games. Red members also get the chance to purchase the season ticket returns. I have been a member for quite a few years, and recently got moved up to silver (without actually asking) , but being honest, I don’t really use as I have friends with season tickets, so usually just get to go with them when one can’t make it. Pre game normally go to either the gunners or bank of friendship pubs on Highbury Park. Means you get to pass the old stadium when walking from Highbury station. There was a nice burger restaurant opposite the Bank of Friendship pub, but not sure if it survived the bid cv cull.

12.) 25 Jun 2022 07:42:47
My guys! Thank you all of you for such descriptive answers, Thanks make Glen, It was quite comprehensive - I am exploring the RED membership option. I will keep you guys updated - REALLY REALLY want to get a chance to see the boys play live. For people like us who can't go week in and week out - It really is a lifelong dream.

Cheers guys!

13.) 26 Jun 2022 14:57:45
Whether you see them play live or not IG, you like all the Gooners on this site have the Arsenal stamped on your heart.

14.) 27 Jun 2022 07:56:14
Spot on Bill! Nothing gets me excited as the boys in red and white. Even if I get a game or not - rest assured I will be in one of the pubs in and around emirates during the NLD. See you guys there. Jesus with a brace and fabio viera with a sick assist. c'mon ARSENAL.

16 Jun 2022 17:41:15
Ed001 have you seen any of the Fabio Viera guy? Looks like a young talent for squad depth, I'm not sure of how good he is and where he'll fit.

IndianGooner

{Ed001's Note - not much, but he does seem an unnecessary buy unless Smith-Rowe is surplus? It does seem an oddity of this Arsenal regime to only buy in positions you don't need to strengthen. Maybe it is so Arteta can send Smith-Rowe and Odegaard out on loan as Saliba is not being loaned?}

1.) 16 Jun 2022 21:09:43
Smith-Rowe is being used more on the left with Martinelli. Ødegaard and Fabio in the middle and Saka on the right. We need another RW too.
We could also play Partey as a lone 6 with both Ødegaard and Fabio in front. ESR can come in central with both Odegaard and/ or Fabio. I wouldn't say it's unnecessary as it adds quality to the depth of the squad. A very good signing imo.

2.) 16 Jun 2022 22:14:08
The window is still open so maybe not an unnecessary signing at this stage. If we fail to add quality in comparison to Torriera, AMN with Eleney extended and Xhaka appears not to be moving then likely.

Odegraad can’t play all the games and ESR can’t find the passes he can and this kid seems to have it in him.

3.) 16 Jun 2022 23:48:10
So Spurs sign a decent midfielder with proven premiership experience, for 25m, and we sign a player with no premiership experience, for more, if the quoted prices are to be believed. Sounds like perfect business to me, now where are those nice white coated gentlemen with the special coat!

4.) 17 Jun 2022 07:50:57
Different players mate, stop comparing them. Did Bissouma get 6 goals and 15 assists? No. Did he have a 50m release clause that according to Romano, we negotiated down to 35m? No. Great bit of business and a solid buy ??.

{Ed014's Note - ??

5.) 17 Jun 2022 13:52:16
Nicely put Glenn mate.

6.) 17 Jun 2022 15:26:11
And does he have any premiership experience Glen, that’s a big fat no. Also does he play in a position we really need, again, looks like a no as well. Pepe stats weren’t too bad either, but they were also in a weaker league. Let’s hope he turns out well, but if his signing is at the cost of Smith-Rowes future at our club, I won’t be happy.

Hi Ed002, Are Arsenal interested in Yeremi Pino, from Villareal?

IndianGooner

{Ed002's Note - Yeremy Pino (RW/LW/AM) His agent spoke with Manchester City and Chelsea last summer about the player but he agreed a new contract at Villareal with a significant €80M buy-out clause and a contract to 2027. Barcelona opted for Raphina. Was orginally the first choice replacement for Pepe at Arsenal. Real Madrid have him on their lengthy list of potential replacesments for Eden Hazard.}

Ed002, with Bremer going to Juventus do you expect Gabriel (CB) to stay at Arsenal?

IndianGooner

{Ed002's Note - Gabriel Magalhaes (CB) Unhappy with the club and agent has been seeking options for some months. Attractive to Barcelona as he is left footed and would be cheaper than a number of other targets, but Barcelona say wage demands are too high. As with other transfers, Barcelona will look to offload one or more of their unwanted players as part of the deal - Memphis Depay may be the only one of interest to Arsenal. Juventus will offer an option after de Ligt has left - with Rabiot and Melo available to trade. Arsenal want him to stay, and like Salisu, could force him to stay.}

It is intriguing that Youri is favoured as the other names mentioned are more of DMs &/ or destroyers rather than creative CMs like Youri. I would want to know Ed002 If we are looking at 2 separate additions or do you think Youri maybe is the most realistic one and will be the only midfield addition? Perhaps a younger option? Perhaps dependent on sales?

Would love to see a list of CMs we are interested in or have shown interest in.

As always, thanks mate for your work - it is greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

IndianGooner

{Ed002's Note - Youri Tielemans (CM) right now he will not sign a new contract so will be available in the summer at a reduced fee. His agent confirmed that there is interest from Real Madrid who are looking for a Luka Modric replacement, interest from Spurs and that he has been approached by a third party representing Newcastle. He is aware that other clubs, including Bayern Munich and Liverpool, have scouted the player but not declared an interest. Interest of the Manchester sides has probably gone as both are looking at other midfield options but they will be back if they cannot get their first choice players - and MU are struggling to do that. Arsenal maintain an interest. I suspect that Real Madrid will shift their interest leaving Spurs, Manchester United and Arsenal to work on a transfer.}

The absence of internet can cause anxiety and i don't feel too good about that.

Things are good mate with me, trying to get my hands on an Arsenal Tottenham ticket for the game in October. I'm coming to London at that time, will also be traveling to Spain and Germany before that for a much needed vacation. But as you can guess I'm really really hoping I get to watch my first game at Emirates and what a game it will be.
