Hello Ed002, Just to put us Gooners out of our misery, Is there any little treat you can give us with 2 days left?

Do you realistically see us getting a new player in before the deadline?

Thanks as always mate!
#COYG.

IndianGooner

{Ed002's Note - Arsenal have the opportunity to sign Aouar.}

1.) 29 Aug 2021 11:09:27
That is quite interesting ED, Do you think our priorities are there or if we look to move on some players before the deadline, A RB would be our first move? Whilst I understand it is hard to speculate, it is harder to make sense of anything that is going on right now on and off the pitch.

Thanks mate! Have a good Sunday :)

{Ed002's Note - Unless Bellerin and one of AMN or Soares were to move Arsenal don't need a RB.}

2.) 29 Aug 2021 20:08:30
Anyone interested in Soares Ed? Would he even consider going or does he want to leave?

{Ed002's Note - No.}

3.) 30 Aug 2021 12:38:19
Thanks for the reply!

Hello Ed002, seeing The Athletic report that Xhaka will be offered a new deal after talks with Roma are going nowhere (Something you had mentioned regarding the brinkmanship Arsenal are showing with Xhaka's departure) .

In your view, Has anything changed? Do you suspect Xhaka might stay or do you see Roma increasing their offer? From what you had said Roma already feel they made a good enough offer.

Thanks as always
#COYG.

IndianGooner

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any new contract being offered nor why Arsenal would want to keep him with the player so keen to leave and a good offer on the table, and Arsenal in need of sales.}

1.) 30 Jul 2021 12:51:43
Thabks Ed, I absolutely agree with you. If by any chance xhaka is here 1st week of September I will be appalled. That will just expose Arsenal's competency in the market.

2.) 30 Jul 2021 20:28:27
Ed have you still not heard anything about the contract mate? When you say you haven’t heard anything I usually take it as it ain’t happening then.

{Ed002's Note - I have no interest in contracts.}

3.) 30 Jul 2021 20:39:15
Isn't it around 15m euros ed. Doesn't sound a good offer in my opinion.

{Ed002's Note - Arsenal want €20M. The player wants out.}

4.) 02 Aug 2021 19:21:36
Ed002 has bottled another one. Why do we continue to believe this person knows any More then the run of the mill Twitter ITK.

{Ed014's Note - I’m only posting this so others will know who the clown is who loses ed02 from the page again.

5.) 02 Aug 2021 21:12:29
You can’t possibly blame me for his shortcomings as an “insider”.

{Ed014's Note - you speak from pure ignorance fella and just make yourself look an utter arse!

Ed02 has a massive amount of knowledge, information and contacts in the world of football.

I don’t need you to believe that, I simply know it as fact from our Ed’s chat group and the circles in which he works.

If he doesn’t want to or can’t give specific information about something that’s a choice he has every right to make.

If you just want to make smug pointless comments because of your ignorance then continue to follow the clueless ITK’s on Twitter which clearly floats your boat.

6.) 04 Aug 2021 03:24:06
That told him! Ha ha!

7.) 04 Aug 2021 03:25:07
LOL yeah what an arse.

8.) 04 Aug 2021 11:52:45
Love it Ed014. We absolutely value Ed002s contribution. Infact, I've been a regular poster and reader for the past decade or so and Ed092 is usually spot on with his information.

Big ups to him. I feeli speak for the majority of us here that we love his contribution and hold his opinion in a high regard.

{Ed014's Note - glad to hear IG there is so much he knows about, it never ceases to amaze me mate.

08 Jul 2021 15:17:01
Hello Ed002, the sassulo CEO has been speaking about being in advanced talks with 'an abroad club' is he referring to arsenal again? And do you think this is a ploy to get juventus to speed up their process or you think Arsenal might really be able to land Locatelli. Let us know if anything has changed really.

Brilliant work as always.

#COYG.

IndianGooner

{Ed002's Note - I don't know what he has said but it won't be Arsenal.}

1.) 08 Jul 2021 20:23:07
Ed002 vs Fabrizio Romano.

2.) 08 Jul 2021 20:27:09
Cheers mate!

3.) 10 Jul 2021 02:27:14
Ed002 The 🐐 simple as Romano can’t even lace his boots FACTS 😎.

4.) 10 Jul 2021 11:16:07
Fabrizio's contact must be Ed002 ;)

30 Jun 2021 11:37:36
Hello Ed002, What do you make of the rumours linking us to Renato Sanches? Is it just paper talk because he had a great euro or is there any truth in our interest.

Great work as always mate
Cheers.

IndianGooner

{Ed002's Note - Renato Sanches (CM) Lille are happy to let the player move on due to the constant muscle injuries he suffers; they want €20M. Klopp has praised him in the past and he would be a more affordable replacement for Wijnaldum, but not the preferred option.}

1.) 30 Jun 2021 19:48:14
Cheers mate, didn't know about v the muscle injuries, maybe that's why a cut price of 20 m. Thanks anyways.

24 Jun 2021 18:57:26
Hello gooners
I would actually like to ask Ed002, if you're free - what do you make of arsenal signing white? You'd always said we were in for a RCB but do you feel Ben White is good enough? More over is 50 million too for him?

Also, what does it mean for saliba, do you feel he will be loaned out or would he want to leave, as you'd mentioned once he's wasting his time here.

Thanks anyways.

IndianGooner

{Ed002's Note - It resolves a huge issue with the mess surrounding too many CBs that were too old or not good enough - Luiz, Mustafi, Mavrapanos, Sokratis. Saliba has been messed about and has no clear future and show be allowed to kickstart his career at a decent club. Sadly I expect he will be made to stay and possibly sent on loan. There will certainly be options available with Marseille (who have asked about a loan for next season and likely losing out of their first choice Caleta-Car replacement) and perhaps Newcastle - but that would be dependent on another matter.}

1.) 24 Jun 2021 21:36:24
Brilliant info as always Ed002, key takeaways for me - RESOLVES A HUGE ISSUE. I feel the price is making a few fans worried but the age is on his side. Considering he's played every minute for the promotion season under Bielsa, was in the team of the season in championship that year and has looked decent for Brighton after playing for several positions I have a feeling this could be a great addition. Homegrown, can cover RB, calm on the ball, has a dribble in him. What intrigues me is that him and Gabriel can genuinely look to be a menacing partnership. Gabriel likes to be aggressive and imposing, White can help clean up and start the attack seamlessly. Let's see what Arteta makes of him.

2.) 25 Jun 2021 11:38:03
Anyone interested in Rob Holding or Pablo Mari Ed? And would Arsenal consider to sell one of them?

{Ed002's Note - Rob Holding (RB/CB/RM) Signed a new contract in January and a sale this summer seems unlikely - Saliba might well be sacrificed first.
Pablo Mari (CB) The are no apparent plans to sell.

3.) 25 Jun 2021 15:23:15
Thanks Ed!

Hi fellow Gooners,
Can I just take a moment to thank Ed002 for the incredible insight he has provided us throughout this window. I think I speak on behalf of all the posters here (most of them atleast) that Ed002 your input is absolutely brilliant and it amazes me how much you know about the business side of the sport.

I regularly visit the other pages and I've seen the insight you gave in Mbappe for example and how Madrid would go all in for him this season and so many more examples are there.

For anyone who's stupid enough to post profanity against the eds, this window is a great example of just how invaluable his information can be. Have a great one Ed002 and all the other Eds who have helped mod this forum, cheers guys.

#COYG.

IndianGooner

{Ed002's Note - You are very kind, thank you.}

1.) 01 Sep 2021 18:41:54
The only Ed you should be able to abuse is Ed014.

{Ed014's Note - I’d much rather you abused me than Ed02 to be fair!

That and I love a bit of banter! 🤣

2.) 01 Sep 2021 20:03:13
Hold on, don't make it sound like I abuse Ed002. I have enough trouble making friends.

3.) 01 Sep 2021 20:32:42
Ed014 normally pays good money for that sort of treatment 🤣 and I have to say ED002 has been extremely patient with us gooners the last few months, I think he’s actually starting to like us lol. Joking aside thanks to all the Ed’s for all the time they give up for us lot 👍.

{Ed002's Note - We appreciate it.}

4.) 01 Sep 2021 19:54:30
What is it the Eurythmics said

Some of them want to abuse you, some of them want to be abused.

Whatever turns you on Ed014 mate 😃😂😁😀.

{Ed014's Note - thanks mate 😂😂

5.) 01 Sep 2021 21:42:33
I agree I always thank the eds for this great site it should be above sky sports I think it tells you the truth.

6.) 01 Sep 2021 23:21:48
This site has always been miles ahead of sky sports Stephen mate, no pretence or sensationalism, simply tells it like it is, disappoint or please.

7.) 02 Sep 2021 09:27:14
I must chip in and say thank you too to the Eds.

To Ed02 for the regular and up to date catalog of info. It’s like picking your lecturer brain on a particular subject. Absolutely priceless! Scholarly.

To Ed14 for your balance opinion, a gooner and your love for Bissouma 😀. January is just around the corner 🤞🏾cross! Objective.

To Ed01 for the player analysis and general football news. Connoisseur.

Really appreciate it. Only thing missing is the app.

Stay bless everyone.

01 Sep 2021 16:01:32
Hello Ed001, hope you're well. Have you gotten any chance to look at Tomiyasu!? And do you rate him? Also, do you think he can do us a job at RB, which is seemingly looking where he'll play. Any insight is appreciated as always.

Thanks and have a great one.
#COYG.

IndianGooner

{Ed001's Note - I haven't seen him play mate, sorry. Just had a quick look at his report on WyScout and they say he has been playing left sided centre-back or right-back mostly, so he should be fully capable of playing there.}

1.) 01 Sep 2021 17:02:22
I've seen a few reports here and there and his percentile for defenders across Europe show that he's much more a CB than a full back. Ed002 confirmed that on the rumours page too. What's confusing is he's the same profile as Ben white. And since changing the formation looks unlikely, I really don't understand where he's going to fit. Either he's going to warm the bench and we'll see chambers get a run at RB (which isn't exciting) or we'll see him get an extended run at RB which is not his best position. I hope this is an astute signing and not a panic buy. What do the other Gooners feel here? Thanks anyways for your info mate Ed001!

#COYG.

{Ed001's Note - sorry I couldn't help more mate, it does seem an odd signing though.}

2.) 01 Sep 2021 17:17:58
I think Chambers and AMN have proved that at the very highest level you get punished when you play individuals out of position, or at least in their second position.

Full backs are special-ist positions, especially these days where they are expected to be wing backs anyway. I fear that he is too tall for a right back and will get exposed, as does Chambers.

Certainly if I was playing against Arsenal I would ensure any mobile winger was played down the left to expose the fact we have a CB playing at right back.

On the positive side though he should help in both defending and attacking corners and crosses, which is a massive area we do need to improve.

{Ed014's Note - thank god you ended on a positive note I was about to cry! 😭😂

3.) 01 Sep 2021 20:00:30
Lol Ed. I think my posts have taken on a rather depressive tone in recent months. I think a decent performance against Norwich, including good performances from the key players, and we will all be feeling much better. However lose that game, and I think I will ask the missus to hide any rope laying about the house 😂.

4.) 01 Sep 2021 20:34:47
I’ve just taken on a new premises in Epping mate and it has extremely high ceilings if you need help 🤣🤣.

5.) 01 Sep 2021 21:35:39
What if he's seen as a Wan-Bissaka-esque RB. Just okay in the final third but more than a hand in the other 2 thirds of the pitch, he's going to help us get that ball high up the pitch and become like this bull in those thirds. I can see how Arteta can use him.

19 Aug 2021 18:18:14
Hello Gooners! Ed001 mate, How do you rate Ramsdale? Have to be honest I haven't seen him play enough to have an opinion about him. Is he any good with the ball at his feet and does he command the box well?

These two are the attributes I'd like to improve over Leno who I think is a great shop stopper but Leno's positioning and general confidence has been lacking in the past 8-10 months.

IndianGooner

{Ed014's Note - ed01 has already answered that question today IG it’s down the page a little, have a look. 👍🏼

1.) 19 Aug 2021 20:11:36
Ah thanks mate Ed014, I'll go have a read, cheers mate!

{Ed014's Note - you’re welcome mate I’d just read it myself.

2.) 19 Aug 2021 22:31:30
We’ve signed a goalie who can’t play from the back to replace a keeper or be back up for a keeper who can’t play from the back

What’s that quote about doing the same thing and expecting a different result?

3.) 19 Aug 2021 23:00:20
It takes some working out SY mate and is way beyond my brain capacity, I've only just got to grips with a full understanding of quantum physics.

4.) 20 Aug 2021 08:40:49
News just out from a lab in Wuhan. The only thing scarier than your analogies is you thinking you have an understanding of quantum physics.

On a more serious note, what's with all the passive aggressive shi*e?

18 Aug 2021 15:56:45
Hey Ed002, now that Ødegaard looks close to signing, you think we'll sign a CM if Torrieria/ Maitland Niles move one?

Also, apart from GK do you see us signing a RB or ST? Is it all dependent on the departures and like you mentioned efforts are made, do you expect any significant outgoings in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks as always Ed. Cheers mate.

IndianGooner

{Ed002's Note - I would expect a GK and a RB - but Arsenal are having huge difficulties trying to sell players.}

1.) 18 Aug 2021 16:53:57
His Ramsdale now close to joining?

{Ed002's Note - I cannot quantify close.}

2.) 18 Aug 2021 22:19:54
Hearing you say RB made by day Ed002, with a RB Arteta should have literally no other excuse ti underperform. He should show good sign by December or might as well move on. Thsnks again for the great work Ed. Have a nice one.

23 Jul 2021 12:06:22
Hello Ed002, hope all's well. Loving these bits of information we keep getting from you.

I read on the United page that Arsenal can not be discounted in regards to Reuben Neves but Arsenal have preferred options. Would you be able to tell us what our primary/ preferred target is? I'm assuming Ødegaard and Neves are part of 2 different profile of players and the 'preferred target' for this type of a player would be different. Any information would be brilliant.

Thanks as always

Ed002, Is he primarily a CB or RB and more importantly is he coming in to play as a full back or a CB? The confusion keeps piling up.

{Ed002's Note - He is a CB. Arsenal no longer need a Bellerin replacement.}

I trust your judgement Ed001, thanks for your 2 cents. The optimist in me feels that if he gets a club who gives him the superstar value he thought he'd get in Madrid and a place where he thinks he can thrive, one can hope he can harness his potential. At 22, he's already has had a fairly long career and that could very well be his advantage in turning around his career in London. I feel he's technically gifted but I'll now ve reserved about my opinion on him knowing his attitude is an issue.

IndianGooner

{Ed001's Note - thank you IG. Fingers crossed I am wrong as I would love to see him achieve the potential everyone expected of him when he was still a young teen.}

Interesting Ed001, could you please share your opinion on Ødegaard? I've read frequently that you've got the best judgement of players amongst the Eds and I'd love to know what you think about Ødegaard and how you expect him to fare in the PL.

IndianGooner

{Ed001's Note - I think he is a very average player, with a poor attitude (which is why he got booted straight back to the reserves on joining Madrid, even though his contract specified he had to be involved with the first team training a number of times a week) and doesn't work hard enough. He is not majorly lazy, just not giving his all, and that applies in training too, which is why he has failed to make the progress he should have. Let's be honest, if he still had the rep he did at 15, then there is no chance Arsenal would get his signing. The reason he is joining Arsenal is because he has underachieved massively and that is down to only one person - him. He doesn't do enough, on the pitch or the training ground, to improve.

He is one of those players that will end his career as unfulfilled potential, sadly. He doesn't have that quickness of thought that the top players have either.}

That's fair G63 mate. I think the 'young, experienced and homegrown' criteria in this case has superseded that of out and out ball control ability like that of Ederson.
Having said that if you look at his first interview he says that the reason he's gotten the POTY is because of his passion and that he leaves everything on the ground every single time - that's a very welcome attribute.

Also, he said he is very comfortable on the ball, even if he's not a finished article in that aspect - at 23, you would expect Arteta to make him better there. One can only hope.
