Reading hickey is close to being done is there any truth to this.

Stephen bristow

{Ed002's Note - Aaron Hickey (LB) Hearts youngster who moved to Bologna after attracting agreat deal of interest from the Premier League but is no longer of an age where he could become Home Grown in England. But he could in Italy. Napoli are very keen to take him to replace Faouzi Ghoulam. West Ham, Newcastle and Arsenal are keen but I am not sure if he would be interested in joining a club as cover.}

1.) 27 May 2022 22:00:37
Thanks for the great info.

22 May 2022 08:49:51
Is it true saka wabt a release cause in his new contract.

Stephen bristow

{Ed002's Note - I don't know but it is becoming something agents are beginning to ask for from English sides - well typically Termination Clauses rather than Release Clauses.}

1.) 22 May 2022 11:16:33
Get rid now if that’s the case we want players committed.

2.) 22 May 2022 13:51:07
I'm hoping it ain't true be a shame if he went but I can understand why.

3.) 22 May 2022 22:16:27
Nonsense, VM. Growing player power is a movement that has started ages ago and "get rid now" is not the way to respond to it. I believe we will start to see a lot more changes to football contracting in the future and if Saka of all people - someone who grew up with us an obviously loves the club - is letting his agent negotiate this then we can expect it is only the tip of the iceberg.

4.) 23 May 2022 07:34:04
If he loves the club then he should tell his agent he doesn’t want a clause in his contract the clause could be like haalands, 51 million for a player worth triple I stand by and say sell now if true have a great day.

5.) 23 May 2022 07:59:45
I think that's the way player contracts are heading now. The club should not give into every demand, but we have to get on-board in some capacity or risk losing/ missing out on the best players. Its up to the club to prove its ambition and achieve its glory goals, only then will contracts such as this be nullified.

6.) 24 May 2022 14:25:55
Without that clause, would haaland have signed for Dortmund?
Without that clause, will saka stay at arsenal?

It's a smart move by any player, imo, and I don't think you should be taking it personally.

08 May 2022 08:56:19
Any truth to this tielemans rumour does anybody know.

Stephen bristow

{Ed002's Note - Youri Tielemans (CM) right now he will not sign a new contract so will be available in the summer at a reduced fee if he doesn't change his mind. His agent confirmed that there is interest from Real Madrid who are looking for a Luka Modric replacement, interest from Spurs and that he has been approached by a third party representing Newcastle. He is aware that other clubs, including Bayern Munich and Liverpool, have scouted the player but not declared an interest. Interest of the Manchester sides has probably gone as both are looking at other midfield options. Arsenal and Juventus provide wildcard options but Arsenal will have to focus on fixing other issues in the squad first and Juventus, whilst needing significant midfield changes are looking to preferred options.}

1.) 08 May 2022 13:50:41
Thanks for the feedback Ed have a good day.

2.) 08 May 2022 16:16:34
Hi Ed,

Other than a striker, what are the other priority areas (if not at CM) ?

Thanks!

{Ed002's Note - Potentially another goalkeeper in addition to Matt Turner. Right Back, Defensive Midfield, winger and another striker if EN refuses to agree a new contract.}

3.) 09 May 2022 16:19:58
Long list! Thanks Ed. Next pint is on me!

26 Aug 2021 08:51:04
Do we think tripper will come to arsenal of
We can get a deal done.

Stephen bristow

{Ed002's Note - Kieran Trippier (RB) May be interested in a return to a England but being cover may make him think twice. Asking price is very high at €40M but Manchester United and Arsenal are open to a move if the price can bbe reduced. Everton interest went with CA.}

1.) 26 Aug 2021 10:10:39
Would love Trippier, i'm not sure the club is a big enough draw for him without Champions League mind. RB is a massive problem right now for me. Chambers is nowhere near good enough, so hopefully someone comes in. Aarons maybe?

2.) 26 Aug 2021 10:50:11
Surley he would be bought as our number 1 RB as opposed to cover?

3.) 26 Aug 2021 17:15:07
Question for you Ed regarding this, you may have no idea but what is the relationship like between arsenal and a. Madrid now. After the whole partey incident last summer I remember you said they wasn't too happy with how we acted.

{Ed002's Note - There won't be a good relationship right now.}

4.) 26 Aug 2021 18:42:49
Who would he be covering?

5.) 26 Aug 2021 20:22:10
Didn't think so. Appreciate the reply Ed.

6.) 26 Aug 2021 21:20:33
Thanks for ir the reply Ed.

18 Aug 2021 07:39:58
Appare Juventus dortmound AC Milan are all interested in Aubameyang.

Stephen bristow

1.) 18 Aug 2021 11:08:12
Meant apparently.

2.) 18 Aug 2021 11:10:03
Doesn’t seem likely.

3.) 18 Aug 2021 14:01:42
If they are really unhappy at Arsenal they won't mind taking a huge pay drop to make sure the negotiations run smoothly. As long as the club received a fair offer then they should all be shipped off. Aubameyang is clearly on the decline so now is the best time to get rid of him. Hopefully a fair few others follow him out the door too.

4.) 18 Aug 2021 18:02:47
Why would they take a pay cut. I am sure they would leave, but only on loan to a club that will only take them if they can pay part of their salary and we pay the rest, which I think is what we did with Ozil. Otherwise if I was PEA, I would sit in the reserves building up my massive pension pot care of AFC.

5.) 18 Aug 2021 21:22:19
I think negotiating a payoff with unwanted players on big wages would be the best option.

Offer them a settlement figure to terminate the contract by mutual consent and let them go and earn the rest elsewhere.

We paid Mesut 51m over 3 years when we'd rather he'd just leave surely it would have been better to pay have 30m and let him go 3 years earlier so he could get on with his career and we could use 20m finding a player we wanted to play.

Compromise finds resolutions while digging your heels in often means everyone loses.

Another good result mist admit I'm enjoying the way we are playing atm and do you guys see any more incomings to the club.

Stephen bristow

1.) 14 Aug 2022 11:30:46
I think if we can do it we will.
Think they could be last day transactions though.

2.) 14 Aug 2022 14:56:35
Trying to think what position though.

05 Aug 2022 21:58:38
Great win against Palace away the first 15 mons we were brilliant play like that for longer in ganes be a good season and a clean sheet very happy tonight.

Stephen bristow

1.) 05 Aug 2022 22:04:59
looking like a team with a gameplan finally.

{Ed014's Note - very impressed and a great 3 points away at Palace

2.) 05 Aug 2022 22:12:09
Huge result, Palace away always tough and 1st game of the season even tougher still.
10/ 10, what more could we ask than 3 points and clean sheet?

3.) 05 Aug 2022 22:27:49
I love a good defensive display

Would still like a rb, cm and a winger

I know I’m greedy.

4.) 05 Aug 2022 22:30:24
Created well at the beginning and defended really well we need it to. Palace always a tough place to go to. A win and clean sheet is brilliant start and can only boost our confidence especially our defense.

Big shout to the big man of the match saliba, also the 2 Gabys up front did well. Liked juses dribbling not scared to do it which a breath of a fresh air.

5.) 05 Aug 2022 22:51:19
Fair enough on the CM front Malaga but I reckon that's our only real need. I'd prefer to see more minutes for Eddie with Jesus wide over signing another winger though.

6.) 06 Aug 2022 08:06:21
Saliba is a monster. Ed14 said he was the business and he certainly was.
Solid all round performance.
Great support from the fans.
Palace away is a banana skin and we didn't slip on it.
COYG.

Stephen bristow

1.) 01 Aug 2022 09:37:23
Meant win stupid phone.

2.) 01 Aug 2022 11:31:44
Brilliant for women's football Stephen ⚽️ ? ?:)

3.) 01 Aug 2022 22:28:22
Gabby Logan pleaded with the TV audience after yesterday's game to please attend a couple of WSL fixtures this to help the women's game continue to grow, I think can manage that.

4.) 02 Aug 2022 06:44:04
I been looking at tickets only £12 very cheap can't seen to. buy any yer tho go on sale 4 weeks before a game.

20 Jul 2022 22:28:59
The England women's team are putting the mens to shame great football being played.

Stephen bristow

1.) 20 Jul 2022 23:32:33
Yeah I'm enjoying it! Amazing how much it bothers some people.

2.) 21 Jul 2022 10:57:30
I really don't see much of a difference it is still players doing it for you're country.

3.) 21 Jul 2022 13:31:58
I watched the whole thing and it was decent, but I found it incredibly frustrating sometimes how much more slowly the ball moves. I suppose it’s one of those things that just needs some getting used to.

4.) 21 Jul 2022 13:50:46
Putting the men to shame! A bit strong.

5.) 21 Jul 2022 13:57:59
I also think the positive social impact it's had has been great, whether you think its any good or not. I remember growing up in the 90s it was very unusual for girls to join in and play football and the ones that did were seen as tom boys. Now I know lots of girls and women who play and the womens teams at my local club are really popular and the environments much more fun because of it! It's great that my daughter can have sportswomen as positive role models on the TV to encourage her to go and play sport. Rather than only showing men's sport, because women can't play and she's left with the only women on TV being famous because of their looks.

6.) 21 Jul 2022 16:04:41
Why are they putting the men to shame that’s a bizarre comment - the men have done really well in recent tournaments ( I mean Euros and World Cup ) the womens game is still developing- other countries will develop and competition will get tougher .

7.) 21 Jul 2022 20:30:42
The standard is getting better and better all the time no question at all, yes it's definitely slower than the men's game but much more honest where a dive in the women's game being as rare as a player staying on his feet in the men's game.

Both the men's and women's games are at a very good levels and each has slight differences that appeal to some but not all ?.

8.) 21 Jul 2022 21:54:17
I just mean with the way they play the passing and attacking play is a lot better didn't mean to upset anyone.

{Ed014's Note - I’m pretty sure you haven’t upset anyone Stephen and I agree with you too mate. It’s been great and the atmosphere at the England games has been amazing.

9.) 22 Jul 2022 06:04:02
OK thanks Ed I just think it's been a breath of fresh air how well its going and the kids in the grounds seem to enjoy it and don't seem to be violence like there has a the men's games.

{Ed014's Note - agree mate, it’s all positive stuff for me. ??

10.) 22 Jul 2022 20:56:02
Totally agree ed, people actually cheering and getting behind the team rather than the usual abuse and boos. Cheap tickets, the player's aren't paid very much, so they're much more relatable.

{Ed014's Note - definitely eden, it’s just great to see.

11.) 23 Jul 2022 07:27:27
Wish the mens would go back to this atmosphere I go the rugby games slot more now and no. boos nothing all hoof fun even when we sit with fans from other teams.

21 Jun 2022 21:54:22
