Have no idea but assume Edu, Merino and Sociedad know as well as Ed002! It is surely the art of negotiation, why should we accept £25 mill for Eddie if we think we can get £30mill, why should we pay £30 mill if we have offered £26mill. When we desperately need a player we pay eg Declan Rice and Calafiori in recent times. I am sure it is click bait noise and the deal is in hand and if we didn’t pay the extra few million we weren’t desperate to get him. We do have Jorg Partey and Declan Rice to cover DM . Merino is a CM and sure we wouldn’t have let el nenny and ESR go if we weren’t in for someone . Can we calm down a bit and stop seeing it as a negative against the club just because it doesn’t do what you ( not aimed at you Stephen) want and in the time frame you desire COYG PS we did quite well with these players last season so even if it takes 2 weeks to buy we should be okay.

He clearly wasn't in Mikels plan.
What impressed me most about him, not once did he thrown his toys out of his pram, and when he did get on the pitch, he put in a shift.

My heart is a little bit broken Stephen, I had the same feeling when my daughter left for uni ?
I wish he had been loaned out to get more game time but if he's happy that's ok.

I think we all are left with a feeling the loss of a loved one. He had so much potential but unfortunetly very injury prone and probably if he was loaned out and got injured then we would have struggled to get what we got for him. Really hope it works out for him at Fulham except when they play us.

I would of preferred us to have gone for mateta from palace I think he would of done a better job for us I don't think gyokeres has a very good first touch we needed more of a giroud type of player in my opinion.

I like havertz it must just be me but I do think we need a striker I don't think jesus does enough for me as a striker.
