Gyok scored more goals than Alvarez in a tougher league. I'm not convinced by Alvarez. I'd rather the kid from Bournemouth and concentrate on the left wing, cm and rb. He only wants Barca, and I don't want anyone who doesn't want to join us.

Alvarez is not much of an upgrade for me. I don't think many St are; with how we have played, most will struggle to look good.
VG14 is settled now and had a good first season. Let's get an elite LW and play to VG14's strengths, someone like Jr from Bournemouth who can cover both.

Morning trish, have you heard anything about odegard leaving in the summer and what was said in that text?
{Ed001's Note - I haven't heard anything about him leaving, but his messages that were leaked reveal problems within the team, including ongoing feuds. Odegaard was annoyed with some of his teammates attitudes, lack of effort in training and even their social media behaviour.
It could be something and it could be nothing. A lot of it is normal, a captain will be annoyed with teammates he feels are not working hard enough or seem more bothered about their social media accounts than football. But the talk of ongoing long term feuds between squad members is troubling. Usually you would deal with it by moving players on and breaking up the cliques that are forming, but with it just being messages, there is no way of knowing if there is a major problem or not.
Of course you have people claiming to know people close to it, who are suddenly full of information about it being a serious problem. Strange how they never mentioned anything before though!}

I wouldn't be surprised if Norgaard pushes for a move away, Mal. Trossard looks a done deal with Besiktas. I'd like to keep Martinelli and Odegaard, although there are lots of rumours about both players. Similarly, Gykores and Nwaneri. But then they are just rumours, of course.
This World Cup has certainly showcased some very interesting players.

I was quite happy to swap winning the CL, provided we won the Prem. However, now we are Prem Champions (how good does that sound?) , I am getting excited we could do this. Liverpool took them to penalties last year, Villa went out by the odd goal and beat them at Villa Park. We lost both games, but Donnarumma had a man of the match performance in both ties, and we were 10/15 mins from having a right go at them had Bukayo scored an open goal.
Revenge is on my agenda, as it will be on the boys, I'm sure. Yes, they are good, but we are much better than last year, and they are not that good that we are making up the numbers. It's 11 v 11, and played on grass not paper. We are in this big time, if only so Mikel can perhaps keep his job and we don't knee-jerk and sell Saka, Zubimendi et al. ;) COYG 2-1. Kai with the winner again.
