Morning Ed hope all is well

Is it a bit too early to ask you about what transfer business could happen in January.

malaga-gooner

{Ed002's Note - It is a difficult time to recruit.}

1.) 01 Nov 2024 10:21:04
Thanks have a nice weekend.

{Ed002's Note - And you.}

05 Sep 2024 15:10:10
Looks like sesko is our number one choice

I wonder will we make a move for him in January.

malaga-gooner

{Ed002's Note - He won't be available in January.}

1.) 05 Sep 2024 16:17:43
Ed is he a target for us and would be available in the summer.

{Ed002's Note - He will have a release clause in the summer but I don't know if Arsenal will look again.}

2.) 05 Sep 2024 17:13:39
Ok thank you.

31 Aug 2024 08:20:53
Well done and thanks Edoo2

Called it right again.

malaga-gooner

29 Aug 2024 10:41:03
Edoo2 have we made a move to sign nico williams?

malaga-gooner

{Ed002's Note - No, he is awaiting Barcelona.}

27 Aug 2024 09:33:49
Ed's why was my post about Ferguson from Brighton taken down

Edoo2 is it true he's a target?

malaga-gooner

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea why it was removed.

Evan Ferguson (S) Maybe an offer from Newcastle will eventually happen but they have other targets. Brentford could look to him as a Toney replacement, Spurs are trying to offer a structured way forward for the player who needs to stay where he is for a while and with Brighton having agreed a new contract which places him out of bounds for some years whilst the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea look on. I don't move this summer.}

1.) 27 Aug 2024 10:10:03
Thanks buddy.

2.) 29 Aug 2024 02:21:00
Any player from Brighton costs 100 m, so don't think we'll try.

How good was our defence ladt night

Saliba was cool and calm and even drove forward with the ball when the opportunity arises

As for JK never put a foot wrong, was like a player that was playing regularly. well done

Timber, what can I say he was magnificent
Terrorised the Utd right side

Zinchenco had a better game than usual, some nice crisp passes and good positioning It's alway great to beat the old boggers.

1.) 05 Dec 2024 08:10:38
Thought it was a great performance.
Apart from Rayas fantastic save Utd didn't offer much imo.
Have to admit i was apprehensive when i saw Zins name on the teamsheet but he was solid.
Has had been already said on here Timber what a player and we should have had a couple more from open play .
I was thinking back to the days of Wenger when if we had a corner it was a pointless exercise but talk about to the other extreme.
Next up Fulham away COYG????.

2.) 05 Dec 2024 08:21:27
Morning Billy

7 points now, I’m really confident we can catch the scousers.

3.) 05 Dec 2024 09:29:41
But but but Saliba (outstanding last night in my view) has dropped off - muppet! Why can`t we catch Pool and I`m sure Chelsea and C£teh feel the same and quite rightly so COYG.

4.) 05 Dec 2024 11:52:54
Morning Mal mate
Absolutely ? agree.

5.) 05 Dec 2024 19:58:20
Timber is quickly becoming my favourite player. Aggressive, quick, direct, good on the ball, and can play anywhere across the back. Definitely like a new signing for us after his injury.

04 Dec 2024 22:14:23
Great second half

JK was a great replacement for Gabriel

We are the corner kings

7 points gap now.

malaga-gooner

{Ed014's Note - mate we are so much more than corners.

We’ve played some incredible football over the last two seasons and a bit.

1.) 04 Dec 2024 22:26:49
I agree Ed.

{Ed014's Note - ??

2.) 04 Dec 2024 23:56:20
Always good to beat United, Amorim has them better organised and would have been happy with 0-0. Saka and Ode were marked heavily and we should have scored at least two from open play. By the way Timber what a player he is. You would also think we were the only team who jostle and hold and block at set pieces. I guarantee if I could be arsed I could pick those type of fouls by all 20 teams bar none. Not pretty but three points! Did Liverpool win tonight?
#maybejustmaybetitleracenotquiteover COYG.

3.) 05 Dec 2024 08:59:22
Sussex, someone in chat said it yesterday, and I had a bit of a chuckle, "We have to beat these mid table teams to be in with a chance".

#nottillthefattielemanssings #nodto14 #COYG.

{Ed014's Note - ??

How about this one that a United poster put up on their page.

Zirkzee really is the answer isn't he?

If the question was, "What if Tom Huddlestone was a striker?"

4.) 06 Dec 2024 16:44:34
Scrabble obviously Ed14 triple points score plus 50 =128 is the Zirkzee answer! COYG.

{Ed014's Note - great answer mate! Hope you posted it on the United page ??

Morning lads n sally

I can't for the life of me decide who's the better cb.

Gabriel or Saliba?

malaga-gooner

1.) 28 Nov 2024 09:23:27
Big Gabby for me.

2.) 28 Nov 2024 09:34:21
Hi mal, I absolutely love the pair of them….

3.) 28 Nov 2024 12:36:02
Together they are brilliant, apart its hard to tell if they would be as successful individually. They bring different qualities to compliment each other. I'd go 50/ 50.

4.) 29 Nov 2024 22:50:47
Love them both. With either of them out we are really weak and the other struggles. We don’t really have any decent replacement for either of them keep them both and we will have success lose either one and we are in free fall.

5.) 30 Nov 2024 00:39:08
Fence sitters the lot of you (;

6.) 01 Dec 2024 00:53:25
Tbf their skill sets are different, Saliba has the better awareness and is superb at mopping up. Gabi is the better man marker and I'm not sure I've ever seen a better attacker at corners, he is just irrepressible. If I had to pick who is more important for our play, Gabi, but only just, and we don't have a RCB replacement for Saliba like we do for Gabi with Calafiori.

27 Nov 2024 08:03:26
Morning Trish, how's it going?

Lots of talk we are in for a striker in January
I watched the lad from Lisbon last night closely and have to say I didn't see much about him
If you was to choose a forward for us that would suit our style of play who would it be?

Thanks mate.

malaga-gooner

{Ed001's Note - Gyokeres certainly didn't impress last night, though he is probably the one closest to the type that would suit your way of playing. Lautaro Martinez would probably be a good choice, but at 27 it might be that he has missed his chance of that big move now. His price would probably be exorbitant and PSR will bite on finances. I think Boniface is probably the one to look at. Seems like a good lad as well.}

1.) 27 Nov 2024 08:21:46
Were you watching the arsenal last night then ed001?
What do you make of us this season?

A.

{Ed001's Note - I watched as much as I could between editing, you looked back to something akin to your best. You look much more solid with a proper left-back. I just hope Arteta has realised that he built a side that is perfect for taking the game to teams and has given up on trying to be pragmatic.}

2.) 27 Nov 2024 08:24:29
Thanks for the reply mate

I see a bit of sesko looks a good prospect.

{Ed001's Note - Sesko is very much the same as Havertz though, which is why I didn't put him forward. I don't think he would be an upgrade on him, so no point in splashing the money.}

3.) 27 Nov 2024 08:50:00
Thanks for your insight trish

Do you go to Edoo2 funeral mate.

{Ed001's Note - no mate, I am not in the country. I moved home a day or two before he passed and am still trying to get everything sorted and settle in.}

4.) 27 Nov 2024 12:48:23
Ed001 do you see Isak as a good fit for us?

{Ed001's Note - technically, yes. I have worries about his attitude though, he seems a bit happy to take the money rather than looking for trophies.}

5.) 27 Nov 2024 14:02:49
Thanks ed001, that's a bit concerning.

{Ed001's Note - it does bother me, I mean he didn't join Newcastle to win things. He has not moved yet with the intent of doing anything other than taking a good contract and signing fee, plus the standard 5% cut of transfer fee that players get. He could have joined a number of clubs, but Newcastle offered the most money.}

6.) 27 Nov 2024 15:51:03
First time watching Gyokeres for a full match and all I could really think about was how much Gabi had his number. I could see flashes of potential but given how cut off the Sporting midfield was from him, probably a bad game to evaluate him on.

I wonder if Osimhen will leave Galatasaray soon? Seems like he's wasted in Turkey.

7.) 28 Nov 2024 18:58:35
I've just read a rumour he wants ManU, to meet up with Amorin again.

8.) 28 Nov 2024 19:07:49
Do we need to upgrade on Havertz? We definitely need cover or someone to push him so I think Sesko is the best bet.
I’ve seen rumours around Wharton in January which makes sense as Jorginho and Partey will probably move on in the summer.

9.) 28 Nov 2024 19:12:13
We should also 100000% be looking at Cherki at Lyon. Could be an absolute bargain with Lyon’s financial problems.

10.) 29 Nov 2024 07:36:54
Don't know what you were watching, he went past Kiwior like he didn't exist and hit the post. He hardly got any supply tbh.

26 Nov 2024 21:56:49
Superb

Now that's how you win away in Europe.

malaga-gooner

1.) 27 Nov 2024 09:21:42
Absolutely Mal mate.
Taking the game to them.
Keeping possession, high tempo
Fantastic performance.
