The local police have put out an appeal to the local community asking if everyone could please not commit a crime between 8pm and 11pm this evening.

Someone has replied saying
It's a deal and could you lot refraine nicking anyone from 6am to 6pm tomorrow.

Love it 🖒😊😆😆.

Apparently there is a new bidder for taking over at Arsenal and she is able to offer The Kronkee's something money can't buy in oder to take control of the club.

The lady in question is probably the most famous Arsenal fan on earth and is prepared to offer Stan her extensive and prestigious London home in exchange for full control of Arsenal.

Not only is she a life long gooner also her grandson is too, and it's her grandson she wishes to run the club as he has suddenly found himself at a lose end and she feels running Arsenal will be a positive way of keeping him occupied plus she hopes it might encourage him and his family to return to the UK to live and unite the family which has been going through a bit of a difficult period lately.

No this rumour is not from the usual tabloid media and I didn't read it on twitter or Facebook, it was written in my tealeafs this morning and compared to most media outlets the teanleafs have a pretty good success rate.

Oh and if the deal goes ahead Stan is going to demolish Buck house and build a Walmart.

Apparently City are surprised by the talk of us announcing Artetta as our manager when we haven't even spoken to them and agreed compensation.
Whatever has happened at Arsenal we used to be so prim and proper in how we conducted our business.

gunner62

1.) 19 Dec 2019 11:17:19
This could be because the way they poached our players in the past. Pay back I guess.

2.) 19 Dec 2019 12:48:18
I doubt it but if so how old is josh 5?
City have well moved on from the Mark Hughes buy Arsenal days and have no interest in any of our players now days.
I'd incompetence was the more likely explanation than pay back.

I'm not sure if Emery can't or won't change his ways but either way it's plainly obvious his ways his methods his tactics just aren't working at premier league level.
What would be the point in continuing with Emery few more games or weeks! What is going to suddenly start working that hasn't worked upto this point in time?
9 points over 26 games isn't impossible to make up but neither will it be a formality for a new manager either.

There are absolutely no guarantees that if we change managers things will suddenly come good but there is a genuine possibility they might under a different manager that simply doesn't exist under Emery.

We have a squad that has the quality in abundance we just need someone who can organise and motivate them into a cohesive team that functions to its full potential.
There is no logical reason to carry on with Emery, I've read people saying the club don't want to pay his compensation money and would rather let him see out his contact to save what a £3 millions pay off?

But that's just people being negative towards the board because I'm sure Josh and Co are more than capable of working out the financial loss of champions league football money v £3 million in compensation without the need to consult the world's greatest mathematic brains first.

gunner62

1.) 10 Nov 2019 13:24:20
As usual, nothing to disagree with from G62. I have little faith in the board to act decisively. They have a history of dithering and fiddling while the team burns on the pitch. As you said elsewhere, the only language they understand is empty terracing. I would rather listen to us lose on the radio, than freeze my arse off sitting at the Emirates.

I would love to be wrong, but those hoping for a sacking on Monday. I wouldn't hold my breath.

2.) 10 Nov 2019 15:08:24
Hi Urban mate I think you've got it bang on, vote with you bum if your not happy and spend your time doing something that does make you happy until the club team and manager give you reason to feel they are your best way of spending your time and money again.

3.) 10 Nov 2019 19:24:06
I just don’t know how emery is making Managing Arsenal look like a difficult job? This season I honestly couldn’t tell you what system we’re playing. Yes Wenger was dated, but you knew what you was getting. A team trying to play possession football until an opening presented itself. Against Leicester, we couldn’t even string 5 passes together. No one knew where each other are, we got strikers playing like wingers, playing so deep against a team that plays with 1 striker. Emery isn’t connected to his players and he’s not connected to the fans. Sack this tactical fraud, leave Freddie in charge til we can get a manager with a clear vision.

4.) 10 Nov 2019 19:43:08
It's true ice mate we have no identity no structure no Arsenal way of playing that the players can get they're heads around and become comfortable with and most importantly good at.
Every game a different starting 11 a different game plan a different formation what chance do our players have? And of course they are only human so are naturally becoming deflated and losing interest and motivation to simply indulge yet more nonsense.

5.) 11 Nov 2019 09:58:15
Icy, you are so right. It was embarrassing watching us play what amounted to a back five against a side with a lone striker. And Gunner, spot on about identity, we don't have one at all. We even had one under Graham, albeit based on grinding opponents down and a very flat back four with their hands up every five minutes. I watched Liverpool yesterday afternoon, and even with some (one) lucky breaks, they looked every bit the finished article where we look pedestrian. The worst of it is, our front three/ four are the measure of anything Liverpool have got. But the rest is disorganised, poorly deployed, and yes, lacking any kind of identity.

The papers (I know) are this morning reporting the boards confidence in Emery. If true, I'm not surprised. Of course, we don't want a trigger happy board, but one season, and a third of this one, is enough to know. It could be a long frustrating season.

6.) 11 Nov 2019 10:25:20
In a game that’s about numbers and statistics, I’d be curious to know which one Emery is impressing in, that’s keeping him in that seat.
Ed any inside news on what’s happening? I just can’t accept the board are content with him because under him, Speaking statistically, we won’t challenge top 4 and we don’t want to bank winning Europe when we can’t hold a clean sheet.

{Ed002's Note - It was a mistake brining him in and as I said he was far from first choice. The club has gambled financially on getting in to the top four come the end of the season, and that remains the primary target. It is difficult to see anything happening before the summer when I suspect there might well be a change.}

7.) 11 Nov 2019 10:54:47
The papers are all quoting Ormstein Urban mate so it's a highly credible that is the boards position.
I'm pinning my hopes on the board using Ormstein as a deflection tactic and going to surprise us all as they did when they let the papers run with the "we only had 40 million to spend" story all last summer then bosh! broke our transfer record :-) I know it's not a theory you'd want to put your house on being correct is it :-) ?
Like you said yesterday mate vote with your bum and if your not happy with what's being offered simply don't accept it and find a more enjoyable way of spending your time and money, 20,000 empty seats is an extremely difficult fans message to ignore for long.

8.) 12 Nov 2019 06:49:18
I'm with you 62 fingers crossed 🤞.

08 Aug 2019 08:37:02

Arsenal and Chelsea have agreed an 8 million fee for David Luiz and Tierney will complete his 25 million move today also.

Excellent result achieved against one of our two main rivals with a seriously depleted team including both our CB pairing who everyone declared the bedrock of our team last season in the last 3rd of the game.

Two seasons back we crumbled after losing just Saliba for the run in. We're come a very long way since then, up the Arsenal ????.

gunner62

1.) 27 Oct 2024 18:37:06
Well said mate.

2.) 27 Oct 2024 18:44:06
Get everybody fit and buy a center forward and we in with a chance.

3.) 27 Oct 2024 19:13:50
In my opinion, get everyone fit and keep 11 players on the pitch for the entire game and we'll be absolutely fine with or without additional players in January. We are an excellent outfit and our squad players are now justifying their right to pick up any medals we might win this season.

4.) 27 Oct 2024 19:21:01
True but we are 5 points behind and should have won today. A draw wasn’t a great result in the overall scheme of trying to win the league. It wasn’t a disaster given our injuries etc but we’ve dropped stupid points.

We should have pushed on while on top but we didn’t and then paid the price.

We can’t just have Trossard, Martinelli, Jesus and Kai as options for goals outside of Saka and corners. We need far better options.

Next few games are must wins or the challenge will be further and further away.

We know we needed cover for Ode, good CB cover, better fullback back up but most important better attacking and goal s or if flair - this is part and parcel of competing at the highest level and multiple fronts. Not getting CB back up and striker is a poor call.

We need to go on a killer run to get us back into the frame.

Sorry for being negative but we are here to win.

5.) 27 Oct 2024 19:49:36
We can look for negatives or appreciate the positives, personally for me the two biggest negatives this season are Rice v Brighton and Trossard v City, if they stay on the pitch we have 4 points more than we currently have and City have 1 less and the league looks very different. Saliba sending off was very different because Trossard sold him down the river, but Trossard has scored some very important goals too. Things could be better but equally they could be far far worse and we are just 6 miles into a marathon with 20 miles still to run. We are doing OK.

6.) 27 Oct 2024 20:54:44
We are coming for you lot. let's face it, City will win the league and the scousers will take 2nd place. I'm looking forward to our game in 2 weeks. Banter site so hope ok to post. Chelsea fan just enjoying our (gradual) return to the top table.

7.) 27 Oct 2024 22:01:46
If you were born post 2014 and are under 10 years old you have evey reason to be optimistic about living long enough to see Chelsea win the league again West side, have a chat with some Spurs fans as they will advise you on how to handle going 100 years between title's. ?.

8.) 28 Oct 2024 06:20:07
Kinda hard to be born post 2014 and not be under 10. Just saying.

9.) 28 Oct 2024 08:31:44
Ian was disappointed also - same attitude that cost us the league two seasons ago…

Arsenal will probably be a little bit disappointed. Going into the game, with the players that are missing, I thought they started it very well, but when they got into a situation where they were 2-1 up, they played like they were down to 10 men, ” Wright said.

“They invited Liverpool on a bit. If you give them the capability and the time then they’ll probably punish you and that’s what they did. ”

We need to be braver and grab the game by its balls or risk always coming 2nd, 3rd or 4th.

If we are to win the league then we need to think big, act big and be brave. Our mentality needs a slight shift if we ever want to win.

10.) 28 Oct 2024 09:14:25
Hope Ian will be OK and recover from his disappointment in the very near future and go on to live a relatively happy life despite yesterday's draw causing him so much distress. I hope in time Ian will be able to reflect on the absolutele thrashings we suffered against Liverpool City and Chelsea in our fairly recent past even with all our best players of that time being available and come to the conclusion that yesterday wasn't actually so bad after and things at Arsenal are actually pretty good after all. Good luck Ian ?.

11.) 28 Oct 2024 19:57:26
62 - I get that you are sunny side up but who cares about previous games against city or Liverpool or whoever from years ago. That wins nothing. It doesn’t really matter that we had players missing, there’s no top up points for most improved. We’ve waited long enough and spent enough to demand / want / expect success not because I’m a spoilt kid or entitled but ever business expects a return or why bother…. If we are to be winners then expectations need to be raised.

Glad you are happy and hope you are doing well.

I’m happy with life but not happy being 5 points behind City so early on in season and not getting our squad where it needed to be to compete.

12.) 28 Oct 2024 21:52:41
Hi Sy, haven't City Liverpool United Chelsea spent enough for their fans to demand to be champions? Only one team can be champions each season and some very expextant fans at each of the big 5 demand it's their team that are those champions, something somewhere has to give because the phrase everyones a winner is a lie if you only class finishing first as winning

Alls good in my hood thanks mate, I've no complaints whatsoever and I'm really pleased apart from football life is good for you too mate ?.

05 Oct 2024 21:31:48
We still have a 100% record with 11 men and are unbeaten with either 10 or 11 men having already played City and Spurs away this season.

Not too shabby a start at all. Up The Arsenal ?.

gunner62

1.) 06 Oct 2024 18:10:04
Not to bad at all John mate, not bad at all??.

2.) 07 Oct 2024 08:17:28
Hi Bill mate, hopefully we return after the international break with no new injuries and those players who currently injured much closer to being available mate ?.

3.) 07 Oct 2024 09:25:08
??
Here's hoping John mate.

28 Sep 2024 18:02:14
All epic journeys include scary moments and only the very best overcome those moments most often to ultimately emerge victorious. We are looking well up to the job in all areas so far in my opinion.

Up The Arsenal ?.

Very true Bill mate ?, it certainly keeps things interesting, seldom a dill moment for us now days mate.

21 Sep 2024 13:09:54
I'd take a point tomorrow because a point at City is always a point gained rather than 2 points dropped.

But I think we have every reason to be optimistic about tomorrows game as of course do City fans, whatever happens it will be nice to watch the game firmly sat on the sofa rather than hiding behind it ???.

gunner62

1.) 21 Sep 2024 13:43:00
I’m very confident John mate

What a boost a win would be.

2.) 21 Sep 2024 14:52:36
Hi Mark a win would be incredible mate and it's very possible too, but it would be crazy of us to start thinking our fantastic team should be going to City and getting 3pts and for us to feel let down by them if they aren't able to fulfil such high expectations. I'd take a point for sure and anything more would be an extremely welcome bonus ????.

3.) 21 Sep 2024 16:03:03
Hello John and Mal
I don't know why but I got a feeling for a 1-0 win tomorrow.
Coming late in the game
COYG.

4.) 21 Sep 2024 16:48:30
Hi Bill, be absolutely brilliant if your right mate, fingers crossed ? you are geeza ???.

5.) 21 Sep 2024 22:48:54
Who dares wins!

I'm pretty sure whatever the result our boys will give everything. Mind you a journey of 1600 miles might take its toll .

6.) 22 Sep 2024 03:03:05
I'll be behind the sofa personally.

7.) 22 Sep 2024 14:12:54
2-1 to us.

24 Aug 2024 20:11:04
Now that's a result ???

0 out of 6 points from Villa last season, 3 out of 3 so far this season. Up The Arsenal ?.

3.) 24 Aug 2024 20:33:46
In Dublin mate just gone mental in the bar, all good mate missed you.

4.) 24 Aug 2024 20:37:10
wb 62.

Mal, wondered what had happened to you.

#COYG.

5.) 24 Aug 2024 20:41:30
Nice to see you back John.

6.) 24 Aug 2024 20:44:42
Sorry sharpie and all on a family holiday. Gutted I missed the live chat.

7.) 24 Aug 2024 21:12:18
Dodgy 1st half and much better in the 2nd half. Sorry but Partey is robbing a wage, yes he scored but strolls around the pitch like he has nothing better to do. Calafiori looks like he will be a proper baller.

8.) 24 Aug 2024 21:18:48
It's ok Mal, sparky took up swearing duties in your absence ?.

9.) 24 Aug 2024 21:29:17
Have a great time Mark mate ?

Thanks Sharpie, I was just taking a summer break mate as I don't really enjoy all the crazy media circus and fake stories that are part and parcel of every summer window but I know some other posters really do enjoy it all so didn't want to the grinch who spoit summer ?.

Thanks Bill mate, hope all is good with you the missus and everyone else geeza ???.

10.) 24 Aug 2024 21:34:50
I did not Mark, don't listen to him.

11.) 25 Aug 2024 11:21:40
All good here John mate
Hope it's the same for you??.

12.) 25 Aug 2024 12:22:22
Yes thanks Bill mate, all good here ?

I'm really happy with our start to the season and another clean sheet yesterday, impressive stuff to say the least.

It seems Dr Arteta maybe on his way to regenerating into the perfect blend of former Doctors George defensively and Arsene in attack, if so it spells bad news for all fans of the Cybermen, Santarans and Daleks that's for sure ????.

13.) 25 Aug 2024 21:27:51
Let’s call it what it was - avery lucky 3 points. But 3 points we didn’t get last season. First half - no energy, creativity or bite. Got let off twice. Trossard added something we missed for entire game. Hopefully we get a striker and wrap up CM signing. We need to add more quality up front as Kai and Jesus aren’t the answer. Saka deserves a better striker, as do Ode, Rice, Saliba etc…. Sorry but we must upgrade at least those two positions and acknowledge we had a let off.

We coincidentally met Liverpool in the FA cup that season too, I remember Liverpool fan Ken changing into his lucky pants at half time during that game ??? some absolutely brilliant banter took place that season with Dags Jenny Taylor and Ken amongst many msnh others. Happy days, hey ?.

Hi Sy at the time of your commitment last Saturday City were top 5 points ahead of us with a game in hand. Obviously like most people you were not expecting City to lose to Bournemouth and for Liverpool to consequently over take them.

I get people were disappointed to lose to Newcastle as they were Bournemouth and Brighton but we have had some serious issues with injuries and silly suspensions. I also get that people are disappointed we didn't buy proven striker last January or last summer I can't explain why but what I can say is last season we took the title to the final game of the season and finished second to City for the second season running meaning we have just had our best two seasons since 2004

Personally I think all the negativity and pulling the players and manger to bits after our below our new hugely improved high standards start to the season is totally over the top and I personally feel a team that has been giving us everything for more than two years now deserves and has earned the right to a bit of support during a rough patch. I get everyone is entitled to think and say whatever they want but we are suppose be Arsenal supporters Arsenal criticis who rip our players to bits at the first hint of trouble. If we'd been in steady decline for the last two years I'd be in the negative camp too but that's not the case, in fact since 2004 its never been further from being the case mate.

The false claim of an 8 point gap was made about City, no mention of Liverpool within the hugely exaggerated negative claims made last Saturday afternoon. If there had been a mention of Liverpool within those false claims I would certainly have included Liverpool in my post, but much like the imaginary 8 point that never actually existed in the real world neither was there any mention of Liverpool.

Better still Sally let's all be Man United fans for 24 hours, then we might actually appreciate what a fantastic past two seasons our current players are manager have given us and how lucky we really are.

No one likes to go through a bad spell but overall things haven't been as good as they are at Arsenal for a very long time.
