Looks we are going with what we got, Gooners.
1.) 01 Sep 2026 20:07:58
Not unhappy with that at all, Bill mate.
I'd have taken Haaland or Mbapppe if they'd asked us nicely and said pretty please, but if they don't have the humility to beg, then I don't think we should be making it easy for them to join us.
????
We've got enough strength in depth to have a real go at all 4 trophies this season in opinion, so im excited to see how the season actually plays out between now and May mate. ???
2.) 01 Sep 2026 20:33:38
I'm not so sure. Missing a high speed attacking LW for the multi title dash, and a tricky finisher for striking backup.
Nwaneri and Martinelli are a loss if we don't replace them IMHO.
3.) 01 Sep 2026 20:33:40
A lw for me needed.
4.) 01 Sep 2026 20:49:04
I agree that letting Martinelli and Trossard go, and only replacing one of them seems strange, but our manager has just won us our first title in 22 years, plus got us to only our second ever Champions League final last season, so I think he has earned the right for us to believe he knows what he is doing, at least until things actually start going wrong on the pitch, which they haven't yet.
?
5.) 01 Sep 2026 20:52:15
Right now I'd consider LW a concern - Eze hasn't exactly covered himself in glory on the rare occasions he featured there. That could change. We'll see. But, if that concern evolves into worry (or, hopefully not, full-blown panic) , at least Arsenal seem well-poised financially to make a major signing in the winter window.
6.) 01 Sep 2026 20:55:43
If we get injuries, we are light on the lw that could be title over unless a last minute Rashford loan comes in.
7.) 01 Sep 2026 21:15:56
Hello John, Cashman and SB, hope you are all good. Imo Vini, Alvarez, Yildiz and possibly Kroupi jr would have definitely been an upgrade on what we had, but 2 of the above didn't happen and the other 2 got injured.I think we will be back in for one of the 2 that are injured in January. The window will shut soon and Fabrizio, Ornstein and Harry down the pub who knows Sid whose wife does the cleaning at the training ground and the rumours they spread stops. We cut the wagebill and once again the financial stability of the club takes a very high predicent and rightly so.I know that rankles with a few fans when they see City and Chelsea spray money around but to be fair they get exceptionally high fees for their players, which we don't seem to manage for some reason.
We go we what we got and I personally think the squad is good enough to retain the title and go one better in the CL.If we fail through lack of goals then I am sure Mikel and Berta will get a right rinsing.
Let's get behind the team and bring home more silverware.
Special thanks to the Eds for the site and especially through the transfer window for their insights and views.
Take care each and everyone of you

8.) 01 Sep 2026 21:29:16
Obviously Arteta is less worried than a lot of fans are, Stephen, come May we will know who was right and who was wrong to worry so much, or so little. Let's hope it turns out Arteta knows what he's doing again this season as it did last season. He could, of course, go the way of Slot, but equally he could go the way of Ferguson, Mourinho and Guardiola, and become one of the elite group of managers who have successfully defended a title.
I wouldn't bet against him joining that elite group this season, mate. ?
9.) 01 Sep 2026 22:10:47
I'm not against Mikel Arteta at all, trust me, or the club. I just think selling 2 lw and only bringing one in was a mistake. If we get injuries, unless there is a youth player coming through the system, I've not seen one step up.
Even if we got a loan in on Rashford until next summer, it would have made me a little bit happier, that was all, as we had cover for injuries.
10.) 01 Sep 2026 22:35:12
Hi Stephen, mate, at this moment in time, at least; to borrow from the song Red, "All of our problems are all in our heads." ?
Absolutely nothing bad has happened in the only place that actually counts, on the pitch. ???
11.) 01 Sep 2026 22:53:20
I understand that my friend is just worried about injuries, as our club gets them a lot lol.
12.) 01 Sep 2026 22:52:20
Something positive should have happened - I'm glad you got your strong balance sheet 62. But that won't win the league & we may not get as easy route to the final or get so many goals from corners. So weakening our main weakness is just stupid., slow & lump sums up this very poor window
Why make the job harder than it needs to be by dithering in the market when we should be strengthening our hold. Most people looking at our team see the strength in the squad but the weakness in the starting 11 - anyone watching sees it, even me. We needed a Lw & CF same old story yet the people with the rose tinted glasses mock the ones who point out the glaring weaknesses. We could still win but why make it harder by selling & not buying! Stupid - limp slow Brian
30 Aug 2026 14:07:44
Jesus going to Barcelona apparently.
Alvarez back in training.
Ndiaye was apparently one of the players mentioned but it looks like he is going to Spurs.
Neto, Schade and the Bournemouth winger were all mentioned.
Me personally I think it was Rashford.
1.) 30 Aug 2026 15:05:22
I'd go for Rashford and Kroupi, even though he's injured. I'd be happy with that.
14 Aug 2026 10:32:25
Sky Sports reporting we are in talks with Leverkausen for Jarrel Quansah.
1.) 14 Aug 2026 12:07:10
For the reported £40 mill, a bargain. England international picked by Tuchel v Mexico (albeit sent off) . For what we need, CB/RB cover makes sense in my book. COYG
{Ed001's Note - he was awful at Liverpool, strutted about like he was prime Maldini but was error prone and slow on the turn. I was so glad we got rid of him and would be gutted if we tried to buy him back.}
2.) 14 Aug 2026 12:20:05
Exactly my thoughts, Sussex mate.
3.) 14 Aug 2026 12:47:25
No brainer, Bill, and probably sell Benny too for what, £30 mill? Albeit reluctantly, and yes, too much use of the word albeit! COYG.
4.) 14 Aug 2026 12:57:47
Oh dear Ed001 that's not promising! Still young so maybe he's growing up. Would be our CB/RB cover for us fighting for minutes with Mosquera who has done well for us COYG
{Ed001's Note - he is an awful right back mate.}
5.) 14 Aug 2026 14:58:43
Logic would dictate, if he's nowhere near good enough for Liverpool, we should run away. Konza, wth a K, it is then. If neither, then I'm happy with Benny / Mosquera / Salmon / Hincapie / Fury covering until Willy gets back. It's exhausting this transfer lark. COYG.
14 Aug 2026 09:37:46
Good morning everyone. Hope the heatwave is not too much for you.
Just like to ask about Alvarez. He clearly wants to leave Athletico, he has clearly stated that Barcelona is his preferred choice, his dream move. He left City because his family didn't like England or Manchester depending on what story you read.
So I really feel that it's not really in the best interests of the club to pursue this. Imo Osimhen is a much better fit.
What's your views, Gooners
COYG
Take care everyone.
1.) 18 Aug 2026 08:38:30
Even if he comes, his heart will be with Barca and next year he will want to move again. No point in getting someone who doesn't want to come.
05 Aug 2026 16:20:32
Vini Jr staying at Real.
Am I surprised? No.
Am I upset? Not really.

Thought Konsa and Xhaxa were going to have a tear up after final whistle ??.
1.) 12 Sep 2026 22:54:36
? Me too Bill, was hoping to see summit but the camera man went missing. ?
12 Sep 2026 21:26:45
Get in there Rayaaaa.
Oh Brunoooooo.
100m for Tonali.
Jumpers for goalposts ?????.
01 Sep 2026 11:29:25
Fofana going to Sunderland.
Fabrizio and Ornstein got that one wrong.
{Ed025's Note - you need at least 1 forward maybe 2 for me Bill, i just hope you dont sink the ship for a half penny of tar mate, the rest of the side is excellent..
1.) 01 Sep 2026 11:44:17
It's baffling. Looks like we are banking on Merino to provide striker backup, and Eze and/or Dowman for left wing.
{Ed025's Note - it must be a worry for all of you Highbury mate..
2.) 01 Sep 2026 11:46:12
Hello Ed hope you are good.
Well with the outgoings we do look light up front.
Alvarez Just cannot see it happening but according to reports we still think we are in with a chance.
I thought it might have been Ndiaye but he has gone to City.
{Ed025's Note - hi Bill, i think you are 90% there mate and what i have seen up to now are more expansive and entertaining mate, you just need that final piece in the jigsaw and i believe you will be unstoppable, im good thanks and hope you are too my friend..
3.) 01 Sep 2026 14:53:40
It's a worry when you see what the other top clubs have done this window..
4.) 01 Sep 2026 15:03:49
It really is Sally, and I still can't get my head around how City can spend so much year after year. It's like the ongoing charges and financial rules are a joke.
5.) 01 Sep 2026 14:57:44
Spot on Ed - it's the one area we should have improved not weakened. There's been players we've just been too timid
{Ed025's Note - i agree SY, you may not want them but players like Haaland or Kane score over 30 goals in this Arsenal side mate at least, Ndiaye from Everton and Thiago from Brentford would have guaranteed you the league for me..
6.) 01 Sep 2026 17:17:44
It's such a terribly worrying time to be a gooner.
While fans of all the other 19 Premier League clubs get to sleep like babies from now till May, it's yet another season of nessun dorma for us poor Arsenal fans. ? ? ?
7.) 01 Sep 2026 18:13:47
Looking on the bright side, think how much in wages we are saving. All the better for the January window. ?
8.) 01 Sep 2026 18:27:07
Apparently 600,000 a week, Sally.
9.) 01 Sep 2026 18:30:24
Even bigger buses for even more trophy parades, Sally. It all comes at a cost. ????
10.) 01 Sep 2026 19:14:46
30 million quid to spend on trophy parades then, Bill, mate? 14 million on each of the Champions League and Premier League parades, and a million a piece on the FA and League Cup parades. Sounds like forward planning to me, mate. ?
11.) 01 Sep 2026 19:21:47
. ?????
27 Aug 2026 17:44:00
Best of luck Reiss Nelson at your new club.
Who will ever ever forget your very very late at home against Bournemouth.
❤️?.
1.) 27 Aug 2026 19:36:10
Hope he finds his forever home now, Bill.
2.) 27 Aug 2026 20:17:18
Let's hope so, Sally. ???
26 Aug 2026 08:37:32
How did Chelsea get 45mill for Delap?
He is toilet.
1.) 26 Aug 2026 12:05:40
Marinakis laundering.
2.) 26 Aug 2026 14:05:20
I think he is decent and could have developed at Ipswich. Chelsea move was wrong for him.

Hello Coolted, I think Rashford would be, imo, a good signing. I would sign him, but I get the feeling that no more additions this window.
Take care, mate.
30 Aug 2026 18:05:40
Ni John, mate. Will be quite happy to go with what we got.
30 Aug 2026 17:07:34
I get the feeling that there will be no more incomings. Just my opinion. If there was a surprise acquisition, I think we would have got wind of it by now.
{Ed014's Note - agreed Bill, would be a major surprise if we brought anyone else in.
I’m not bothered either way.
19 Aug 2026 20:16:41
Absolutely brilliant signing Sally imo.
Covering all the bases.

Hello Richy, mate, hope everything and everyone are good.
I was there in Paris 2006 and I was in the stadium watching it on the big screens last season.
Like you, I have taken a vow not to watch another one and just hide behind the settee.
??
Take care, Richy.

13 Sep 2026 08:29:50.
I second your comments, John, mate.
Have a great Sunday.

Spot on Ed mate
07 Sep 2026 11:32:32
Hello Gabi mate, hope all is good for you.
Back in the later Wenger days and the early Arteta days, we had a soft underbelly, and, not to put too fine a point on it, we allowed ourselves to be bullied. That is not the case anymore.
Saliba, Timber, Mosquera injured.
Bruno, Zubi, Merino, Madueke, Vic, Hincapie, Eze
on the bench. (That's a cracking bench to put it mildly)
Konsa, what a tackle, right out of the Adams/Keown playbook.
In January, Kroupi Jr or Yildiz.
Take care, Gabi mate.
06 Sep 2026 19:23:51
Hello Sparky, mate, hope you are good.
I did put Charlie Nicholas in, I presume you don't mean Peter. ??
I did toy with Stapleton.
Bendtner. ????
