Looks like Trossard doesn't want to extend his contract; itching for first team football. I imagine we will move him on if that's the case.
1.) 12 Jan 2025 22:19:35
He is no loss.
2.) 14 Jan 2025 15:25:01
He has scored some valuable goals for us. I would see him as having made a positive contribution. Arguably, more effective than some.
3.) 15 Jan 2025 23:31:56
He scored a winner in the NLD, vodka.

Hey ed002, since we've all been so well behaved, can we have a present on the transfer front? (;
{Ed002's Note - You will be pleased that EN will likely stay after being priced out of a move to Marseille.}
1.) 12 Aug 2024 18:09:12
Hi Ed, does that mean it's unlikely we'll bring in an attacking player?
{Ed002's Note - It seems a dumb thing to do.}
2.) 12 Aug 2024 19:23:44
Fullkrug is 31 years old and has just been sold for 27m. 30m euros for Eddie is a fair fee and they didn’t want to pay it. Whilst I would have wanted him to be moved on, if clubs aren’t going to meet the valuation then so be it. The window isn’t closed yet, it’s still a possibility that he leaves.
3.) 12 Aug 2024 21:16:56
Don't rule out a move to Brentford or Bournemouth.
4.) 13 Aug 2024 01:41:53
Marseille have signed Wahi instead, he will get on well with Greenwood.
5.) 13 Aug 2024 15:01:35
Nketiah would be perfect for Bournemouth, good shout. I could see him banging them in for Palace or Brighton too.
6.) 15 Aug 2024 07:35:03
Fullkrug plays for Germany, played in both, the World Cup and European . That makes his CV better than Eddie.
12 Aug 2024 16:11:17
Hey ed002, since we've all been so well behaved, can we have a present on the transfer front? (;
{Ed002's Note - Right now it looks like Nketiah will stay after pricing him out of a move to Marseille.}

From the european pages:
Gabriel Magalhaes (CB) Arsenal have rejected an approach from Juventus. PSG may make an approach and Arsenal have been looking at a potential replacement.
William Saliba (CB) Arsenal remain concerned that Saliba will look to move to PSG who remain keen.
D:
1.) 17 Jul 2024 19:03:09
Saliba and Magalhaes are our back bone loose them and we are going backwards. I am sure the club and Arteta are aware of this and will do everything they can to hold onto them at least Arteta will do not so sure about the club if a big money offer comes in.
2.) 17 Jul 2024 22:45:06
I'm sure we will do our best to keep them, but generally players are free to move if they really want to. Let's hope they stay.

Hi Ed002.
Lots of rumours about Balogun seem to be flying about these days. I had a quick look with the search function and found:
"Folarin Balogun (S) Arsenal will likely let him leave with Marseille, Inter, MIlan and Villareal scouting him - may be a mistake by Arsenal. Villareal will propose a loan to buy option which will not suit Arsenal. Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah will be ahead of him in the pecking order so it would be a good time to move on. Riem cannot afford him. There will also be interest from Premier League clubs, including Crystal Palace. }"
As you posted this early May, I was wondering if I might be cheeky enough to ask if anything has changed?
{Ed002's Note - Folarin Balogun (S) Arsenal will likely let him leave with Napoli, Marseille, Inter, RBL, MIlan and Villareal scouting him - may be a mistake by Arsenal. Villareal will propose a loan to buy option which will not suit Arsenal. Monaco might provide a wildcard option. Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah will be ahead of him in the pecking order so it might be a good time to move on. Riems cannot afford him. There will also be interest from Premier League clubs, including Brighton, Crystal Palace and Fulham. Agents have approached and spoken with Chelsea and Newcastle, and perhaps others.}
1.) 09 Jul 2023 10:48:40
I really can't decide if I feel this is a good decision to sell him or not. Whilst there might be promise there I haven't seen anywhere near enough to indicate he's in contention for a starting spot. Granted he done well in France howeber lacazette also had a very good season there and we all know he didn't cut it over here enough.
40-50m might be far too good to refuse.
2.) 10 Jul 2023 03:01:36
Thanks Mr002!
Im not sure i've ever seen him kick a ball, D16, so I really can't comment, would like the lad to get a seasons chance though assuming we don't sign a more established striker.
3.) 10 Jul 2023 08:13:22
Just saw that you'd very recently posted this on the chelski page, doh, sorry and thanks!

Question for ed001:
I thought theyd put a stop to the extra long contracts, so how have city signed haaland for 9.5 years?
{Ed001's Note - they haven't put a stop to that. They put a stop to amortising the transfer fee over a contract of over 5 years. You can still have longer contracts.}
1.) 17 Jan 2025 17:59:37
Ah gotcha, thanks. I'm surprised they didn't limit it, 9.5 years seems silly.
14 Jan 2025 18:02:01
So looks like Jesus is out for the season, and Zubimendi will be joining us in the summer?!
I've a sneaking suspicion we might try for a striker before this window is closed.
1.) 14 Jan 2025 18:57:35
You'd think a loaned striker if nothing else would be worthy of attempting SW.
2.) 14 Jan 2025 18:59:44
62 I think vlav on loan and sesko or gyokeres in the summer.
3.) 14 Jan 2025 19:52:21
Personally I can't see how bringing in a loan player could do any harm if players we want aren't available this wondow Dublin.
The team and fans could do with a lift if someone who fits in is available but the danger is of course if anyone we sign on a loan or permanent basis doesn't hit the ground running fans are likely to use the signing of a player who struggles against Arteta even more.
The knives are out for him so anything he tries be it signing or tactics that doesn't pay off will be adding to the energy against him.
4.) 14 Jan 2025 22:01:44
No good news 62 is: his hand is forced and csnt buy any other position except a striker like he’s been doing.
Plenty people criticising him for his weird prioritisation of signings - not just this site. He’s made a rod for his own back. No sympathy here as his stubborn ass got him here.
5.) 15 Jan 2025 09:19:29
He must be doing something right if he can attract players like Zubamendi Sy ?.
15 Nov 2024 22:43:06
Please everyone take a look at the liverpool page.
RIP Ed002, the most infamous gentleman explorer of our time.
I will miss his comedy, his insights, and the times I risked being beaten down like a whack-a-mole to get the craic with him.
To the finest example of a gentleman and a scholar, we raise a glass of whisky!
1.) 16 Nov 2024 04:55:42
Wtf! That's the worst news I've heard in years! what the actual fuck! I can't believe it! I'm heartbroken, that's absolute bull, I loved that guy! My best wishes, thoughts and prayers to all his friends and family. I hope wherever he is, whoever he's with, whenever anyone asks him a stupid question, any moron wasting his time, God, or whoever, he tells them to RTFP's.
2.) 16 Nov 2024 05:20:05
Condolences to his family and friends
Take care Trish and all the Ed’s
RIP the king.
3.) 16 Nov 2024 12:42:59
RIP Ed002. Didn't know much about you, but know that when you were spoken to reasonably, you responded in kind. That means a lot in my book. Godspeed!
4.) 16 Nov 2024 16:14:48
RIP Ed002! Transfer windows won’t be the same without you! I used to pass on loads of his posts to my mates to put them right mainly regarding transfers and finances. As Sharoie said ask a question with respect you always got a respectful response. Used to make sure I’d read the pages before asking a question and my favourite response was always RTFP! Legend and will be missed . Condolences to his family and friends.
5.) 16 Nov 2024 18:17:55
RIP ed002 great loss to the site. Always liked to read his updates.
30 Sep 2023 17:49:22
"Gooner123: I’m guessing you lot are all clicky then"
He is vodka then, he's using the same curious misspelling of cliquey. Wodbod = Vodka martinnelli, and the mystery is solved.
{Ed014's Note - he’s been banned
1.) 30 Sep 2023 17:59:24
Be back in a bit with a new one lol.
{Ed014's Note - I know ?
2.) 30 Sep 2023 18:05:40
Tbf, I don't think I would have guessed that's how it's spelt! ?.
3.) 30 Sep 2023 18:50:23
Who’s banned Ed?
{Ed014's Note - gunnerbod, wodbod, gunner123 and any other name he uses.
Tris told ed33 to get rid.
4.) 30 Sep 2023 18:58:19
That’s great news
Well done the Ed’s.
{Ed014's Note - ??
5.) 30 Sep 2023 19:07:05
Today's just a winning day all round!
Ox, you dodged a bullet there, mate.
6.) 30 Sep 2023 19:14:45
I’m borrowing your Kevlar vest chap.
06 Jun 2023 15:27:57
The CIES metrics placed Saka as the third most expensive player, potentially commanding a fee of 195.8m euros (£168.7m) .
Apparently the 3rd most expensive player in the world after haaland and vicinius. don't want to sell the lad, but it's cool we start having a squad full of valuable assets again.
1.) 06 Jun 2023 21:00:08
Also Martenelli is 12th, valued at £131.5m ?.
2.) 06 Jun 2023 22:45:06
Rambo the most valuable GK in the world, €78.4m!
3.) 07 Jun 2023 20:26:31
That’s how you know the list is wrong when it has ramsdale as the most valuable GK. He’s good but definitely the most valuable and I can’t imagine any club paying anything near that for him in a million years.
4.) 08 Jun 2023 02:02:00
Haha fuser I thought the same thing as soon as I read that!
5.) 08 Jun 2023 07:19:42
Arsenal should be the ones dictating their players values irrespective of CIES.
I’m sure Tony Bloom wasn’t referring to their ‘metrics’ when we came knocking for Whyte and certainly not Caicedo.
As far as selling players goes we are a mixed bag. Good deals for Willock and Iwobi but far too often we don’t get value at all.
If we bought Ben Whyte for £50M then I want to see Newcastle pay close to that for Tierney otherwise I’d seriously question how this club values it’s assets and negotiates because anything under £40M selling to a league rival would be pure folly in this instance.
6.) 08 Jun 2023 09:56:40
Most valuable doesn't mean the best tho, it's only because he has just signed a new long-term contract and he is so young that he is top of that list.
if all the keepers were on the same length contract then he would not be top of that list.
15 Jan 2025 23:31:56
He scored a winner in the NLD, vodka.
04 Jan 2025 19:27:07
Ive barely seen him but I read ed001 likes him.
13 Dec 2024 01:08:39
I'm sure I read he wanted Southgate at United, i hope we steer clear.
02 Dec 2024 19:32:24
Whilst Trossard is a good squad player and I've not given up on Martinelli entirely, we definitely need to sign a starter for LW. A striker too, in case anyone forgot. (;
17 Jul 2024 22:45:06
I'm sure we will do our best to keep them, but generally players are free to move if they really want to. Let's hope they stay.
17 Jan 2025 17:59:37
Ah gotcha, thanks. I'm surprised they didn't limit it, 9.5 years seems silly.
17 Jan 2025 09:23:59
Unfortunately for KT who made a promising start to his Arsenal career, he is not Artetas profile of fullback and was pushed out early.
His injuries are as they have always been, but he's been available much more than selected, and he's been a proper professional both when playing or not.
From what I understood you will sign him, and he will absolutely still improve your team when fit, even if that's only going to be half the games.
15 Jan 2025 23:25:58
I know we shouldn't discuss numbers in honour of ed002, but I heard he wanted 500k a week to sign for Chelsea.
14 Jan 2025 22:03:06
I'd go for Mbuemo, Sammy (;
13 Jan 2025 18:27:42
Completely agree with all you said, gunns!
And the opposition fans also hated us when we had Wenger, a literal messiah for English football, so I could care less if our recent upturn in fortunes has inspired their envy.
