If Arsene is to leave come May as Wright has predicted would Arsenal have to make an announcement in advance like Man utd did with fergie.

gunns4ever

{Ed025's Note - no mate..

1.) 11 Feb 2017 00:08:40
What do u think about what wright said ed?

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what IW has said.}

2.) 11 Feb 2017 00:27:02
He basically said that he spoke to arsene and gets the feeling that he will leave this season. Ed i checked the old posts and didn't find your opinion on the topic, can u repeat it please?

{Ed002's Note - I explained in the past couple of days that the club are making provisions for him to leave as planned this summer - but they would have liked another year out of him.}

3.) 11 Feb 2017 07:40:04
Am I right in thinking ManU had to announce it as they are on the New York Stock Exchange? I hope the Wenger contract is resolved swiftly either way at the end of the season to allow plenty of prep time in the summer.

4.) 11 Feb 2017 09:24:28
Was a listed company I believe. UTD would have needed to declare things in line with exchange rules.

5.) 11 Feb 2017 07:56:47
I can't believe he's actually going to go. Ed i'm sorry i really don't know how to use this website but can u tell me the list of candidates plz. It will be the last question because i know u hate repeating urself.

{Ed002's Note - The problem is that evrytime I have explained what has happened so far and what the options might be the vegetables come out of the woodwork and wreck it for everyone. I have explained previously that approaches have been made to two people and that the first told a third party acting on behalf of the club that he would not welcome an approach. The second is Allegri as I have explained.}

6.) 11 Feb 2017 11:27:18
Apex, towards the top of the page is a search box. Simply type Ed002 into it and it will bring up anything Ed002 has responded to. You can then scroll down and view all the nuggets of wisdom.

7.) 12 Feb 2017 16:36:55
I think we need to stick to our guns keep faith in Wenger. I hope he signs another 2 year contract. We have been in a very dark place. We are coming through and can see the light but let us not abandon our leader.

(oops sorry pressed the send button too quickly) the club had gone so far away from the club that I fell in live with. The dodgy deals loss of integrity bad management and leadership. The team it self looked a million miles away from what we were once. However luckily that all changed with the arrival of Arteta and the current squad, n what a great experience this has turned out to be. Hoping for a great summer where we get the right players and get to keep our core intact. If we do I can't see anything stopping us achieving great things next season. I personally think this will be Arteas if he does bring the trophies in.

Have a good summer guys and hopefully will see you all next season.

Ps hope your enjoying yourself up there ed02 miss your updates.

Lovely post g4e ?
Every time I see a rumour I think 'what would ed002 have thought? ' The latest Sun rumour - Reya to Real Madrid and Martinez to Arsenal. I can imagine his response lol.

Evening All. I hope we are all well. As this season draws to a close I just wanted to thank everyone for their contribution to this site. Even though sometimes I have been concerned with certain members opinions but it makes you realise we are all different and have different views n opinions.

I would like to thank the eds for providing this platform for us all to share our thoughts.

It's not long ago that I was contemplating giving up on football and Arsenal all together. For.

have a brilliant summer G4 mate and thanks for your company this season greza ?.

10 May 2025 00:07:12
I have enjoyed this season overall and it has definitely been an eye opener for me. With all our injuries we have been fighting to be at the top of the table most of the season. We are now coming to end of the season have beaten Real Madrid home and away to reach the champions league semi finals only for injury laden team to have been beaten by a well organised fresh team but boy did we give them a run for their money. We now have 3 games left 9 points up for grabs with Aston Villa 7 points behind is in 7th position. Things could end up a lot worse than they are. We now have A team and a B team with our youngster’s potentially even have c team. If we get the players we need to improve our team n realistically that’s only 2 maybe 3 signings next is season is going to be one hell of a season so let’s be grateful for what we have n what’s coming and get behind the team and manager. Come on you gunners.

I'm with you G4 mate but I think we are currently either in the minority or at least on the opposite side of an equal split between those of us who appreciate and have enjoyed our dramatic improvement and those who cannot accept anything but being the very best of the best at all times.

2.) 10 May 2025 12:36:45
62 no one expects us to win everything but we should at least be in the argument!

3.) 10 May 2025 13:57:21
Were we not in the Champions league argument this season
? We're we not in the Premier league argument up until the very last game of the season last season?

I appreciate different people have different values and opinions but can we are at least agree that to suggest Spurs and Man United have done better than Arsenal this season are taking the argument to a ridiculous level and that that those very same people who claim now claim United and Spurs have done better than us this season would get completely out of their prams if we finished the in same league position as United and Spurs finished in last season in the same position as United and Spurs finished in, let alone where they both are now in the league this season.

To me this is complete double standards and purely looking to put Arsenal and Arteta down in any way they can find to do so.

4.) 10 May 2025 17:20:40
62 what happened to our domestic challenges?

5.) 10 May 2025 19:11:06
OK a recap.

In the league cup we lost quite badly over 2 leg's in the semi final to Newcastle who went on to be beat Liverpool in the final winning their first domestic trophy in 70 years

In the FA cup we lost in the 3rd round? I think, to Man United on penalties after extra time. Embarrassing yes but Liverpool went out to the champships bottom team Plymouth, magic of the FA cup? It happens

In the league we fell off the pace and just couldn't keep up with Liverpool with so many injuries to so many important players but we ard currentlyout pacing all others despite all the injuries. Would we have pipped Liverpool to the title if it were not for the injuries? Maybe, maybe not we will never know the answer to that question so it's a debate best not had.

6.) 10 May 2025 19:35:07
No doubt we have regressed this year.

7.) 10 May 2025 20:19:17
So have the farmer's yeilds who didn't get the best weather last year.

8.) 11 May 2025 10:46:03
Bit of a bizarre reply 62.

03 Apr 2025 13:18:59
Afternoon all. Hope everyones enjoying the sun that we are seeing at the moment.

One of the things I have wanting is the right support team around Arteta so that he can bring in the right players that we need. We all want a striker and winger and possibly someone to rest odegard. I have said if the right players are brought in and we don't bring in siver than we need to start to question Arteta's ability to carry on.

The question for me is who are the right players and what will they bring to the team. What do you all think should be our must signing this summer.

gunns4ever

1.) 03 Apr 2025 18:48:00
Starting ST, LW and LCM for me.

2.) 03 Apr 2025 19:27:03
2 Strikers, left winger, centre midfield and a decent CB for cover as well as GK cover.

Outside of the cover - these need to improve the starting 11.

Drop some of the players like Kai / Trossard to the bench. They just aren’t good enough.

Improve the squad by replacing departures like Jorginho

Just as important is a number two who will question and push Arteta to be more progressive in tactical changes, attacking football and his bottle. This is a must.

Would also like a change in Captain who is a real leader.

3.) 03 Apr 2025 21:38:29
Why not go the full hog and change the tea lady as well.

4.) 03 Apr 2025 21:49:41
Roger that Mark ?.

5.) 03 Apr 2025 22:44:50
The two Ronnies are funny. Roger that ?

Keep up the propaganda

Good that you don’t gang up and mock different opinions ?

I will be rubbing that rabbit foot hoping for change and success - why would I want to maintain status quo. It’s not worked for last 3 years.

6.) 04 Apr 2025 07:28:33
Come on Sy4, it’s all done in good fun, not meant to be a witch hunt

I use to get it over Wenger

Chill bro.

7.) 04 Apr 2025 07:36:43
Er, What's up Sy ?

You've been trying to wind everyone up all season putting the Arsenal down and bigging everyone else up at every opportunity you personally can create for yourself to do so. Surely he who lives by the ? must also be prepared to take a bit of Easter bunny back ?

Up The Arsenal ?

Or up the toon ? and the forest ? depending on which your personal preference is.

8.) 04 Apr 2025 08:32:54
Haha John

Just love it ?.

9.) 04 Apr 2025 09:18:16
Very funny gents - I’m fine and hope you are Mal.

I’m chilled - just want to fxxxxxx win something

Suns out - Spurs are rubbish and we have a Real Madrid game next week. Exciting times ??.

10.) 04 Apr 2025 09:42:17
Hi Mark, basically it's all just like Chas and Dave said it was back in the 70s mate ??????????.

Sy stated a couple of months ago that he liked to create a bit of friction, so I'm sure he's living the dream now we are giving him a bit of bunter back ? really ????

I'm sure he'll see the bunny side of it all mate ?????????????????.

11.) 04 Apr 2025 14:23:14
Didn’t realise that was friction ?

Friction as in challenging your blind love of Arteta Vs my sensible but repetitive downer on him but you don’t engage on that front you just bleat on about old sayings, crap about improving or players trying hard ?

He doesn’t have cover for ode? Runs Saka into the ground, signs a poor forward, gets rid of 3 attackers, sells one for 4m that’s banging goals in for fun in Europe, buys defenders yet you moan about injuries and not having a decent attack? Look at your Emperor - he’s naked to everyone else yet you think he’s magic.

12.) 04 Apr 2025 14:57:59
If you 2 don’t stop I’m going to have to call the police

I hear starsky and HUTCH are on patrol.

13.) 04 Apr 2025 17:12:03
I can see Arteta really Bugs ? you. What we really need is real Thumper ? of the ball up front, Plus someone who is an Energizer ? in midfield. But the last thing we need are players who just Hare ? about Hare ? there and everywhere or any Playboy?type characters. ?????????????.

14.) 04 Apr 2025 20:01:17
Well, another discussion lost to the same tantrum.

15.) 04 Apr 2025 23:26:36
A little slow but I knew Moe would pipe up at some stage…. Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk!

What was that Moe?

If you check I just shared an opinion of what I thought we needed - no tantrum until your mates Curly and Larry piped up with jokes as old as watership down.

16.) 05 Apr 2025 16:07:42
He asked specifically about players - you did your usual infantile hatchet job in the form of demanding an assistant manager.

Sometimes I do sit back and admire the brazen confidence of the brainless.

14 Feb 2025 20:51:38
Sorry people I’m really down at minute looking at what we have availble I’m seriously reconsidering my expectations of us for in the premier league up until Kai injury I was expecting us to be close second to Liverpool. Now I’m praying for a miracle we finish top 4.

gunns4ever

1.) 14 Feb 2025 21:35:19
The nice thing about the future is it's totally unknowable G4 mate, so often the stories we tell ourselves turn out to be completely wrong.

No one expected Forest to be where they are right now or for City to be out of the title race before Christmas.

Just remind yourself of Forest Gumps " life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get " sometimes what we have convinced ourselves is going to be a nasty chewy toffee ends up being a delicious soft centred strawberry delight ?.

2.) 15 Feb 2025 12:32:35
I am more positive for next season though. With all this time out most of the team will be together in the summer and renegerised for the new season. As long as we don’t do anything stupid like selling Saliba other teams will be worried us coming at them.

3.) 15 Feb 2025 14:36:02
What about afte today G4 mate? 4 points behind Liverpool and 6 ahead of Forest plus 10 ahead of Chelsea and 12 ahead of City both of who were declared to be to far ahead of us to catch earlier in the season

This season isn't over yet mate and neither is our title challenge, we may be depleted in numbers but we are currently still very much the team that just won't go away no matter what challenges we face or how many times people chooose to write us off.

Chin up G4 mate and up the Arsenal as always ?.

Andrea Berta is a step in the right direction. If he gets the financial backing and players coming back from injuries Next season has to be a phenomanal season for us.

Iknow we are still pretty early in the transfer market, but Arsenal are very slow again, how long has a medical been going on for a player that we potentially agreed the deal with in January. Rumour has it Zubimendi has rebuffed the medical claims. If we loose out on signing the players that we have been identifying who takes the blame Arteta? Berta? Kronke?

Guilty conscience there Sy. I’m not mixing my words. I have said exactly what I thought and what I see see on this site. Maybe I’m getting old and I can’t be bothered to read the same old comments that are made with no factual information £600 mil you say over 8 years considering the value of players have shot up in the last few years. Also if you look at how much we have spent in the last 20 years compared to other clubs you will get a much more accurate picture. Sometimes your eyes will only let you see what you want to see. There’s more to life cheer up and enjoy the ride.

A very strong argument DG but it just shows there’s certain people that come on this site just to say the same old thing over and over again. Either these people in my opinion are just wind up merchants who only post to get a reaction or they have got their heads buried in the ground that they just don’t see where we have come from and what is happening with other clubs that hire and fire as and when they don’t get what they get. This is the real world and not a game console where you hire you want and fire them when you want.

Clubs that want a long stable future have to invest time and money and not something that happens overnight. As ed02 would say RTFPs that have been previously posted and you will see patterns emerging. I for one come o. This site as it offers a variety of genuine opinions but when the same old tripe gets thrown down posted and anyone disagreeing with them gets accused of giving them a bashing it bringing up the integrity of the site.

The Eds have worked very hard to provide us with this platform. Some of the posters come that have been posting since day zero to keep this active and to hear people like you trying trying to emotionally blackmail people to believing that you are some sort of victim is a joke. Begone posters like you come and go long live the site long live the Ed’s and regular posters. Looking forward to another cracking season next year. COYG.

I think we all are annoyed with the result and we shoudl be able to mention it on this site. The whole purpose of the site I think. However if it goes on and on and on then it become an overkill.

I can't believe we are actually discussing this. They won a cup in a competition where non of the elite teams where allowed to compete. that's like saying Leeds United are better than all the teams that didn't win the premier league because they won the championship. let's concentrate on our own team.

The season has been very good for us given our injury list. If we get the players we need and keep hold of our players than I can't see anything else but us cleaning up next season.

On the upside united lost in the final to a piss poor tottenham side, knowing how tottenham operate they will sack their manager by the weekend.
