Hi Ed002, is Darwin Nunez a target for us?
If not, as a gift for our lovely fans, could you tell us who could be the attacking player we sign in the next 72 hours?
{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware. There may be a late bid for Calvert-Lewin to replace EN.}
1.) 28 Aug 2024 11:03:31
Very interesting. THanks for sharing ED002. Have a great day.
2.) 28 Aug 2024 12:24:03
God no don’t want either of them… ones always injured the other couldn’t hit a barn.
3.) 28 Aug 2024 16:08:07
DCL, oh no ?.
4.) 28 Aug 2024 16:44:52
Darvin nunez work rate is phernominal. Would love to see him in an arsenal shirt arteta to get the best out of him.
5.) 29 Aug 2024 08:11:49
Calvert-lewin might do well for us arteta seems to get the best out of players plus he is good at holding up the ball and could be a good plan. b. option.
6.) 29 Aug 2024 12:04:14
Hearing we might be going in with a late bid for toney. Would rather him that DCL.
7.) 29 Aug 2024 13:43:50
DCL is injury prone and toney has too much baggage neither for me.
8.) 29 Aug 2024 18:58:52
Please not Nunez. Wouldn't have him if he were free. Was kinda hoping for the Sporting striker, Gyokeres.
22 Aug 2024 11:07:39
Hi Ed002, Are we interested in Lookman from Atlanta?
{Ed002's Note - Ademola Lookman (W/F) Happy to let him move on. Nice or Atletico perhaps with his agent pressing for Arsenal or Liverpool to make an offer. Has had a great couple of years in Italy.}
21 Aug 2024 11:47:12
Hi Ed002, with EN close to agreeing a move to Nottingham Forest and Toney to Arsenal being unlikely.
Who do you think Arsenal will try to sign before the end of the window as a replacement and who could be first choice? Thanks as always for your continued insights.
{Ed002's Note - I am not sure the club see a striker as a priority with Gabriel Jesus fit and Havertz doing well. Khayon Edwards has an agent pushing the club to give him opportunities.
Whilst there has been interest in Gyokeres and Osimhen the costs of those transfers are huge.}
1.) 21 Aug 2024 12:59:56
What about Nico Williams? Has that ship sailed or still a chance?
{Ed002's Note - No.}
2.) 21 Aug 2024 13:51:27
Have we shown any interest in a wide forward? Someone to provide competition for Martinelli/ Trossaee Ed002?
{Ed002's Note - Yes there has been interest shown in a number of wingers.}
3.) 21 Aug 2024 14:31:37
Thanks for the info Ed002.
Any particular winger you think Arsenal will look to sign before end of the window you think?
{Ed002's Note - It will be the same list as I provided before with Nico Williams and Pedro Neto removed.}
4.) 21 Aug 2024 15:21:13
Thankyou so much for your info. Looking forward to a hectic end to this window.
5.) 21 Aug 2024 21:15:18
I think Jesus will be cover on the wing and we’ll bring a CF in.
20 Aug 2024 14:20:26
Hi Ed002, Is Nottingham Forest interested in signing Eddie Nketiah? Are we looking to price him out? Also, if he leaves, do we have any interest in signing a wide forward/ striker before the window closes?
{Ed002's Note - Eddie Nketiah (S) If Arsenal can add Toney or another striker, EN will be allowed to leave. Leicester, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Wolves interest has gone. Nottingham Forest may offer an option. Brentford may be interested in a part exchange, but I doubt it.Marseille were keen and made a decent offer, but Arsenal priced him out of a move. All others see the requested fee as too high.}
1.) 21 Aug 2024 14:18:56
I’m glad we’re asking more for players I remember when we used to let players leave for a song. Is Toney betting on a move to Arsenal?
01 Aug 2024 07:20:57
Hi Ed002, Are we interested on Mikel Merino and Leroy Sane?
{Ed002's Note - Mikel Merino (CM/DM) The player has previously said he has no interest in playing in the PL again after refusing a move to Aston Villa although Arsenal do maintain a keen interest and will try and persuade him to make the move. Barcelona interest has gone.
Leroy Sane (W/AM) Had a terrible season but Bayern Munich are open to a new contract whilst the player will want confirmation on what the new Head Coach says to him. I expect Middle East might be a viable solution with Al Nassr. Liverpool were, and might still be, keen to take him as a Salah replacement but I expect that to change to other targets. I would not rule out Arsenal taking him, as they do have interest. It is more likely Coman will depart and Sane wiil stay.}

Just read the news about Ed002, It is literally gut wrenching. Well put by Ed in the message but also a timely reminder of how we are so familial to each other on this platform and also how fragile life behind the keyboard really is.
Ed002 with his impeccable knowledge and insights (and tongue in cheek humour) was maybe one of the top reasons I have been a bit part poster but a very regular reader. So much so that I have told about Ed002s knowledge and information pool to my friends as if I know this ITK personally (atleast so I would like to believe)
I only wish the best to Ed002's family, freinds and loved ones and I hope they find the strength to overcome this loss, as will us.
So long Ed002, Rest in peace brother. Thanks for the work that you always did. It literally can not be replaced x.

I'm really sorry to hear this very sad news.
Thoughts with Ed002s family and some wives (as he used to say ) ?.

Hi Ed001, What do you make of Arsenal signing Mikel Merino? Have got a chance to scout him? Do you think he fits into our midfield?
{Ed001's Note - I haven't seen him since he was at Newcastle, but he did not impress there. Technically gifted but he was so slow, one of the slowest players I have ever seen. He was young though, so it is possible he has trained to improve that. Technically I would expect him to fit in perfectly, he is big and strong too, as I remember him, so in every aspect but pace he should be ideal. It is very possible to make marked gains in pace and acceleration with the right training routine, though I would expect he will never be quick, it is perfectly possible that he is no longer slow.}
1.) 22 Aug 2024 22:36:30
Thanks for your insights Ed001.
{Ed001's Note - very welcome Indian.}
2.) 23 Aug 2024 20:59:23
Slower than Partey &Jorginho?
Granit wasn’t quick but we missed him last year - hoping him and Rice are the new dream team.
20 Jul 2023 12:19:09
Hi Ed001, I am interested in knowing what you think about Declan Rice and where he fits in our midfield. If you could touch on his aspects as a player on the field as well as off-the field? Your views are taken very seriously on this page, Ahaha, I thought it is worthwhile asking you!
hope you are well mate! Cheers in Advance.
{Ed001's Note - i think the easiest way to answer is this: Declan Rice profile I did a few weeks ago.}
1.) 20 Jul 2023 13:47:59
Great Read. Something I read everywhere is how he is mentally solid. He will fill that Xhaka-shaped void with this at least. He also enables us to attack more by taking so many defensive responsibilities. I am quite excited about this one!
Thanks Ed001!
{Ed001's Note - he is a great buy, though expensive sometimes you have to pay for quality.}
2.) 20 Jul 2023 21:21:46
Great read thanks.
{Ed001's Note - very welcome mate.}
21 Jun 2023 18:31:09
Hi Ed001, What do you think about Kai Havertz? Is he a good signing for Arsenal?
{Ed001's Note - if Arteta can harness him and get him to play at his best, then he could be. I fear for him though as he is very Ozil like in his play and he was crucified for being lazy, even when he wasn't. Havertz is smooth, he never looks like he is putting in effort and he is not one to chase around like English football fans like to see from a player. Ability is there, but I am not sure he is suited to a high press. I don't really understand the signing to be honest as you already have Odegaard that plays a very similar role.}
1.) 21 Jun 2023 19:29:08
Just an old Chelsea supporters view.
I always compared him to George (stroller) Graham.
The lad has a touch of class about him. He enjoys coming short and is very good on the half turn. He will play well alongside another forward but definitely isn’t an instinctive CF.
His casual approach can sometimes get him into trouble but he is young enough to learn from a good coach.
I am sorry to see him leave.
2.) 21 Jun 2023 21:48:28
Thanks for your insight Tom :)
3.) 21 Jun 2023 21:55:46
Some fans not happy about Kai Havertz because of his performance at Chelsea, not all players suit a certain club and system, Salah and Kevin De Bruyne didn’t do great at Chelsea and how did they do at another premier league club?
4.) 22 Jun 2023 07:35:33
He’s to much like Ozil, I feel if he plays there will be no press and will be like playing with ten men again like it was with Ozil doesn’t suit the premiership in my opinion.
5.) 22 Jun 2023 10:32:09
Ed01, you think perhaps he'll be used as a Xhaka replacement? He may actually suit that attacking midfield position. Otherwise, like you, I don't get this transfer either.
{Ed001's Note - that is a good shout. You might be right on that actually, I never thought of it.}
6.) 22 Jun 2023 12:01:44
Probably looking at Odegaard to revert into the Xhaka role and Havertz playing the 10.
7.) 23 Jun 2023 10:11:26
Ed001, just to add to this, what do you think of Odegaard as a player?
{Ed001's Note - he is ok. Like Havertz though he lacks the ability to really take a difficult game by the scruff of the neck or when things are going against the team to turn it in the team's favour. I just think he lacks that drive to really reach the heights. He is nice to watch play, but needs more aggression and desire. I would say he is a bit soft. You wouldn't want him in the trenches with you as he lacks that fight of say Vieira.}
8.) 29 Jun 2023 19:28:41
Spot on Ed. He disappears in key games and can’t really perform in tight games. Just seems to lack something. However still a quality player and time on his side. KDB is a monster step up in my book compared to Ode.
Ode had a great season but you need him to deliver away to City.
{Ed001's Note - to be fair not many are in the same class as De Bruyne.}

04 Nov 2024 20:54:52
So can you tell us some names of good sporting directors according to you then Ed002?
{Ed002's Note - Luis Campos, Paul Mitchell, Florian Maurice, Monchi, Txiki Begiristain, Michael Zorc, Marcel Brands, Zubizarreta .....}
04 Nov 2024 19:54:55
Hi Ed002, Please tell us the names of some good sporting directors that are available!
{Ed002's Note - Being available is really not important.}
04 Nov 2024 11:26:44
Hi Ed002, any early signs or indications who we might sign as a replacement to Edu? Where are has interest been shown?
{Ed002's Note - No, I think the discussions with the board happened very recently.}
28 Aug 2024 11:03:31
Very interesting. THanks for sharing ED002. Have a great day.

06 Jun 2023 17:06:13
Ed002 had mentioned Milinkovic-Savic as our preferred option but that was ages ago since then has also mentioned that Rice is our priority now.
29 May 2023 22:22:32
I think it's not to do with Tierney as it is to the system Arteta uses. Tierney is a beast but technically not the best on the ball. Tough for him as the role demands to create spaces and pockets and then pick a dart of a pass in transition into the attacking third, something KT just can't do. but a top bloke and will make whichever team he goes to much better.
28 Jan 2023 12:59:14
Ed014, I honestly feel we'll put one more half assed bid and get YT. Not that it will be bad business but still Caicedo is much closer to what Partey is. I'm just not excited about YT at all.
{Ed014's Note - I’m with you mate
