According to one news outlet we have passed up on Sterling and Coman both.
If that's true then we go with what we got
COYG.
1.) 30 Aug 2024 19:56:56
Apparently we're back in talks for sterling.
2.) 30 Aug 2024 21:12:27
Apparently so Bristow mate.
3.) 30 Aug 2024 23:38:13
Taking their time ain't they haha.
23 Aug 2024 18:23:27
Fabio going back to Porto on loan
Surprised tbh.
1.) 23 Aug 2024 19:18:58
That came out of the blue HB!
2.) 23 Aug 2024 19:46:09
Yes it did Sally
Hope he returns to us, think there is a very good footballer in there somewhere.
3.) 23 Aug 2024 20:58:08
I think it's a great move, he needs to be playing to get his confidence back and couldn't ask for a better place than somewhere he's familiar.
He's barely going to play here to build any confidence or rhythm here.
Nwaneri may even have gone above him in terms of who would get any available minutes for a run out.
Hopefully it goes well for him.
4.) 24 Aug 2024 08:41:33
I agree, this is a win-win-win. He's getting regular game time at an age where it's make or break, he frees up space for Nwaneri, and he probably improves his stock if we choose to sell next year.

Hello everyone.
Would like to ask the Eds about our striking options.
Sesko, Osminhen, Rashford, Isak. Toney
They are main ones being linked.
If it came down to personal choice who would be their choice and why.
Have not seen hard anything of Sesko or Osimhen, so out of the other 3 my choice would be Isak
My thanks in advance.
{Ed002's Note - I have already answered about Osimhen and Sesko today.
Marcus Rashford (LW/F) Much will depend on what happens in the summer regarding a new coach, but I am sure Manchester United will be regretting the new long-term contract. A third-party has spoken to clubs, including Juventus and Arsenal about him on behalf of Manchester United, but I am not aware of any serious interest and both clubs have other targets. Spurs may offer a wildcard solution to replace Richarlison. Suggestion that he could be a Mbappe replacement at PSG seem far-fetched given they have other clear targets in mind.
Alexander Isak (S) Newcastle have no intention of selling Isak and will let Bruno Guimaraes be sold.
Ivan Toney (S) Brentford do not want to sell but are aware Toney may look to move up a step and will reluctantly look to perhaps £70M as a sale price in the summer - but will likely not get anything close to that. Newcastle, if they can sell their project to him, offer the chance of a return to the club who previously could find no use for him in the three years he was there - but that would only be in the most unlikely event they lose Isak. Arsenal, Leeds, Manchester United, Spurs, Chelsea and West Ham have all sent scouts on more than one occasion to watch him prior to his ban, but Chelsea and Spurs have preferred options meaning West Ham, Arsenal or Manchester United are likely best placed to complete a transfer. First choice for Arsenal.}
1.) 04 Jun 2024 13:09:42
Thanks Ed mate
In depth as always.
2.) 05 Jun 2024 13:15:29
Arsenal have moved on from Toney. Sesko is priority it seems.
{Ed002's Note - What if Sesko signs for one of the other interested sides?}
3.) 05 Jun 2024 22:10:32
Then we move onto the next option but there is no way he chooses Chelsea or UTD over Arsenal. Chelsea are a shambles of a club.
4.) 07 Jun 2024 10:30:08
Money talks mate if they offer more wages then arsenal he might join them.
5.) 07 Jun 2024 16:53:46
A shambles of a club? We took 2 years off to rebuild after the sanctions and sale of the club. Hopefully coming together now and looking forward to giving you lot a challenge next season. In peace.
6.) 08 Jun 2024 21:40:51
Chelsea have quickly turned in Tottenham unless they get their act together and get world class manager they ain't winning anything.
7.) 09 Jun 2024 08:16:02
Ed002 is sesko going to chelsea then? And what is stopping us doing the toney deal now? He has a year left and a deal should be pretty straightforward i would guess? Thanks.
{Ed002's Note - Benjamin Sesko (S/F) RBL could be offered a quick profit. His agent has not stopped offering the player around since his move to RBL. Described by a well known ex-Premier League player and high-end scout as "raw but improving". Was on the list for Spurs as a potential Kane replacement but their interest has moved on to another player that they are now pushing for. Newcastle enquired as they were concerned they will lose Isak - but continue to struggle to sell their project to players and will look to keep hold of Isak over Guimaraes. They can now be discounted. Borussia Dortmund offer a wildcard solution. Chelsea have spoken with his agent when they had a preferred option, do not discount them as he is now likely their first choice. Arsenal have met with his agent but he appears to only be second choice for them still. Milan offer an option as a potential Giroud replacement and they are looking at adding two strikers this coming summer, but they are resigned to not signing Sesko and are looking to another now. A option for Manchester United who need to replace Anthony Martial this summer - but Sesko will not move to simply be cover so that needs to be clarified. Does not want to move to Saudi Arabia but is on Michael Emenalo's list. The release clause will be be €65M until June 30 after which his cost will go up - but RBL want an answer before the Euros begin so they can secure their preferred replacement. Chelsea would look to a deal on the cusp of the year end with the fee not paid before July 1 unless they are pushed.
There is nothing stopping Arsenal making an offer for Toney.}
21 May 2024 10:19:50
Hello Ed
Have Arsenal shown a interest in Brian Brobbey of Ajax
Much appreciate your insight.
{Ed002's Note - Brian Brobbey (S) Everton interest remains but so does their financial plight. Manchester United interest will go with ten Hag. A wildcard would be Arsenal. Ajax will not want to sell.}
1.) 21 May 2024 13:31:38
Cheers Ed
Much appreciated.

Our ref tonight was once banned for 6 months for match fixing
Do you think it's worth having a whip round on this site and having a go at bunging a few quid.
Every little bit helps??.
1.) 07 May 2025 11:22:13
That's astonishing Bill mate, how can someone who's been found guilty and banned for corruption be put back in such a trusted position?
Surely trust is everything in such a position and once someone has shown themselves to be untrustworthy their suitability for the job goes out of the window completely.
2.) 07 May 2025 14:07:23
Takes some believing John mate.
Jude Bellingham had a run in with him when he was playing for Dortmund and made an after match comment some of his decisions and a ref who has that background should never be allowed to ref.
He was a young match official when he took £250 bribe off another ref to help him influence the match result. He was allowed back as a ref later on as he gave evidence against other refs and brought all too light.
3.) 07 May 2025 16:37:23
Thanks for the extra info Bill, I guess age is possibly explanations of his poor judgment but it's not justification of his actions.
Where there is money and power there will always be corruption to some extent I guess and I also guess the question will always be " who are Uafa and Fifa to judge anyone else on this score "?
4.) 07 May 2025 17:15:39
I expect the pressure as a young assistant was immense but bravo for giving evidence against the criminal gang running the syndicate.
04 May 2025 10:09:08
Good morning everyone Obviously not a good performance yesterday and 21pts lost from winning positions has cost us the prem title and that in its self is not being doom and gloom it's just simply unacceptable if you want to win titles. Our injuries list has been bad but we have competed in CL without those players so it's not entirely a reasonable excuse. We have shown in Europe that we can compete regularly. The problem I think in the prem is obviously a lack of out and out striker but sometimes our build up play is slow and allows teams to put men behind the ball and in some cases like for instance the home game against Everton where they parked the bus. In that problem I get frustrated with Arteta with not changing his tactics plus his substitutions are a point of anger with me at times like putting Nwaneri on in the 88th minute against Psg. Having said that he has some great things like bringing Saka on and introducing Myles-Skelly and Nwaneri and getting us challenging for the title again. I think you would all agree their is a difference between challenging and actually winning that title. I certainly do not want to be in the same era of the late Wenger years when we are in the top four but never actually look like winning the title and our good players will start to look elsewhere and that will happen. Me personally I think our tactics are suited to CL where the build up is slower not so fast as the prem. The victory over Real were fantastic and I was feeling 10 feet tall but I think our season and Artetas future will be heavily influenced by what happens on Wednesday night which I believe we are capable of going through. I am not being doom and gloom and I fully respect everyone's views on here but we cannot keep going from being up there to being down there game after game. We need to be consistently at that level game after game and if Arteta cannot get us to do that bearing in mind he has spent quite a few quid then I think it's time to part company. I hope I haven't pissed people off its just how I feel.
Take care each and everyone of you.
{Ed014's Note - all managers are accountable bill and if it takes a new manager to get us over the line, then so be it.
We can’t waste this squad.
1.) 04 May 2025 10:53:43
Hi Bill, I'm not precious about us keeping Arteta but I am ever so grateful to him for making us a top team again and being able to sit on the couch rather than hiding behind it not daring to watch us play City Liverpool Chelsea and Europe's big boys, if Arteta has achieved nothing else he's given us back our place amongst the best even if he hasn't quite made us the very best of all.
There are absolutely no guarantees that parting company with Mikel will make things better rather than worse but unless we win this seasons champions league rightly or wrongly it's time to change and hope it proves to be a good move.
Ultimately winning this seasons champions would make almost everyone happy and of course its something most of us have to hope happens.
Either way up The Arsenal ?.
2.) 04 May 2025 11:12:19
Defo Ed mate
We got great players but we need to be a great team.
{Ed014's Note - I think the last two seasons we have been, just fallen off a cliff this!
02 May 2025 07:04:29
I know the striker issue or lack of a striker I should say is a source of ongoing comments on these pages. I would like to ask Ed 14 what striker would be his preferred choice.
Hope everything is good Ed mate.
{Ed014's Note - now there’s the million dollar question Bill.
I’ve literally no idea how many we’ve been linked with!
I know we need one with the work rate of Jesus and the finishing ability of Henry!
Gyokeres and Sesko seem to be the most linked and the former had pretty good stats at Coventry, 116 app, 43 goals and 17 assists.
Not sure Watkins will be revisited, Cunha looks impressive, a bit of a wild child but wouldn’t be too concerned about that.
Not convinced by Vlahovic at Juventus.
I really wanted us to buy Julian Alvarez when he left city!
My personal choice though would be Isak, then Gyokeres, then Cunha.
Really wanted us to get Baleba rather than Zubimendi too.
I’m hopeful Berta pulls a couple gems, for those two key positions from somewhere that’s for sure.
As for the ongoing comments, ultimately we all want to win, the team look hungry for it, the club has to make the right additions to achieve that, a big week ahead, followed by a big summer window.
Arteta has to get this right or he’ll be gone.
All good with me thanks too Bill and hopefully likewise with you mate.
1.) 02 May 2025 08:02:07
Appreciate your insight Ed mate
All good for me as well
Take care.
{Ed014's Note - good to hear mate.
So who’s your choice Bill?
2.) 02 May 2025 09:32:24
Isak probably Ed mate. Got a bit of attitude which isn't a bad thing, obviously can score goals and tried and tested in the prem.
Downside being I just cannot see Newcastle selling unless we offer ridiculous money for him.
{Ed014's Note - yep totally agree mate, I think that ship has sailed.
24 Apr 2025 19:13:30
Just like to wish Jack Wilshere all the best in his first managerial role at Norwich
Good luck Jack mate.
1.) 24 Apr 2025 20:04:19
Jack Vs Aaron last game of the season.
2.) 24 Apr 2025 21:43:36
Has Jack been given the job full time or is he currently caretaker?
I think/ thought Norwich would go for Russell Martin given his experience, his getting Southampton promoted the season before this one and his former connection to Norwich as a player.
3.) 24 Apr 2025 22:15:51
Caretaker G62. More than likely evaluate in summer as they literally have nothing to play for (Norwich) hope they both have success in however many games they manage, fantastic players with more than fair share of injuries that blighted their careers, they are due a break ?.
4.) 24 Apr 2025 22:16:48
Sorry Aaron, no pun intended ?.
5.) 25 Apr 2025 00:15:41
Look out for Jack running in the London Marathon this Sunday ?♂️.
6.) 25 Apr 2025 09:16:33
Hello Eden mate I had no idea Rambo was manager at Cardiff
Wish him well as well?.
7.) 25 Apr 2025 11:03:50
Hopefully they both do well Bill. It's getting depressing when you've witnessed a player's whole career and still remember them as a 16 year old breaking through and now they're a manager!
8.) 25 Apr 2025 15:01:46
????.
9.) 25 Apr 2025 18:46:57
What's the chances of them both being fit enough to sit on the bench during the very same game at the very same time?
Would that not cause a vacuum in the space time continuim resulting in evolution going into reverse?
17 Apr 2025 06:53:32
I just got up and I am walking about with a swagger John Wayne would have killed for.
Over 180 minutes of football we bossed them in every department.
They only scored because we gifted them a chance.
Another great night in the history of Arsenal FC.
COYG.
1.) 17 Apr 2025 07:30:29
100% agree billy mate.
2.) 17 Apr 2025 13:55:49
Soo true.
26 Apr 2025 18:11:07
Ornstein normally on the money Sally.
{Ed014's Note - I was really hoping we’d go for Baleba rather than Zubimendi.
Watched Zubimendi a couple of times in European games, didn’t do a lot at all and looked very light weight.
Baleba however looks all action, much younger, prem proven and can score a goal or two.
30 Aug 2024 21:12:27
Apparently so Bristow mate.
23 Aug 2024 19:46:09
Yes it did Sally
Hope he returns to us, think there is a very good footballer in there somewhere.
09 Jul 2024 09:18:07
Hello Stevie mate, no i haven't seen anything. We all due respect to Eddie i could not see Barcelona showing any interest in him.
08 Jul 2024 06:25:11
Both wrong, its Stefan Malz or Alberto Mendez.
10 May 2025 11:58:29
Hello there said I wasn't going to post again till next season but I felt I had.
I have been critical of Arteta and miffed about his tactics and subs especially about keeping the youngsters on the bench especially Nwaneri.
After some calming down I have looked at the bigger picture.
I read a post about other managers from a Arsenal fan like ourselves.
Ferguson was at Man Utd 13 years before he won CL.7 years before he won the league. Mourinho having won CL at Porto and Inter respectively spent shed loads at Chelsea and Real and didn't win it with either. Pep spent 4 years at Bayern one of the top sides in Europe and didn't get any closer than Arteta. Psg keeper won MOTM award in both legs. So with respect of CL under Mikel he has done very well.
Our league form even before the injuries was up and down and the lost of 21 pts from winning positions is simply not good enough and needs to be rectified for next season. The failure of not buying a striker is I think you would all agree has cost us big time over all competitions.
We need trophies next season and I think as I said after reflection that Mikel gets another season.
So this time I am definitely signing of till next season
So to the Eds, Sally, John (62) Mal, Gabs, RG, Sharpie, Dublin, Sparky, Dags, Glenn, Gunns4,Moe, Sir Wenger, Saga, Jegooner and everyone else that I have not mentioned, you and your families have a great summer
Take care
COYG
.
{Ed025's Note - have a nice break Bill mate..
08 May 2025 05:49:20
All above posts says it all. Gave everything but came up short. The decision not to sign a striker has cost us in all the completions. Whose fault and the reasons behind that is open for debate. Should be a lot of comings and goings on the player front. As for Mikel I will say this give him next season or get rid off now as I would not want to sack him mid season. Hopefully we can string a run together for the last 3 games and get us CL. As Mal said on live chat last night he is going to give himself a break from the footie for a little while and so am I. The CL is like the Holy Grail for me and I truly thought we could do it .
So each and everyone of you and your families have a great summer and come back fresh again for next season and see where this great club of ours has in store for us next season.
COME ON YOU GUNNERS❤️❤️??.
07 May 2025 14:07:23

Exactly what my mate just texted me Banbury.
