Hi Eds,
Is there any interest from Arsenal in Joao Felix? I know we tried on loan a while back but I didn't realise Atleti were so keen to sell now.
Thanks!
{Ed002's Note - No. He is close to a move elsewhere.}

Hi Eds, do Arsenal or any PL clubs have interest in/ scouted Dani Olmo?
Reasonable release clause and looks incredible!
{Ed002's Note - Dani Olmo (AM/W) Could still be sold this summer if a significant offer were to be made that is close to his €60M termination Clause. Atletico, Spurs, Manchester City and Barcelona were interested, although Barcelona have preferred options in Williams and Diaz and need to sell to buy or horse trade - they may be the only interested side left although I would certainly not discount the long term interest of Manchester City. The player is keen to return to Barcelona. Chelsea considered him as a Mason Mount replacement last summer but have preferred options now, but should not be ruled out. Manchester United or Liverpool may offer a wildcard option. Bayern Munich interest has gone due to injury concerns.}

If anyone ever doubts/ questions the Eds, this info was given this morning on this site - basically the same information is now being reported by mainstream ITK’s/ journalists this afternoon.
Thanks for the top work Eds - most of us really do appreciate you.

Hi Eds,
I've been reading through your previous posts and most of the Osimhen chat refers to Chelsea.
Do Arsenal hold any interest in him at all? I would imagine he would be too expensive, but with Sesko staying put I would imagine that only leaves Toney or Osimhen is really viable options.
Are you aware of any strikers that haven't been discussed on here? Lots of paper chat in recent days about Zirkzee but he looks Milan bound - his numbers aren't that convincing either! Also previous chat of Gyokeres.
Any thoughts or info would be welcome!
{Ed002's Note - Arsenal have a preferred option and see the price as too high for Osimhen. Toney remains the first choice.
Joshua Zirkzee (S) Manchester United had a third-party scout watch him in a game against Roma in December and they decided on Zirkzee as their preferred option but the player was not interested in such a move. Milan has declared an interest knowing Giroud is coming to the end of his contract but don't know if Zirkzee will match his goal tally - and they offer the preferred solution for the player and they now have a tentative agreement. They are looking to add two strikers and the second striker they want is not available, causing a rethink. Bayern Munich have an option to buy the player back but will likely not be interested in following up on it. Napoli offer an option if Osimhen moves but I suspect it will be settled before then. Arsenal have preferred choices but could turn to Zirkzee and Kia is keen on a move to London but the player is keen on and close to MIlan. Player will not move to become cover or second choice likely ruling out Juventus.
Viktor Gyokeres (S) After only joining last summer Sporting have no interest in selling but fear a club could simply pay his €100M buy out clause in full and try to persuade him to move. Sporting fear Chelasea may do that and have avoided the subject during discussions over another player and a separate issue - and Chelsea has a preferred option. He has attracted scouts representing Manchester United, Spurs and Arsenal with Arsenal seeing him as an option to Toney. Spurs may offer a wildcard option but have a preferred option to effectively replace Kane which they failed to do last summer. Sporting are looking to a new contract and an increase in his buy-out clause. Injury will keep him out to probably mid to late July or so. Will likely stay.
The club have considered a number of options but they now need to reconsider or talk to Brentford about Toney.}

Really appreciate the detailed response, thank you.
All eyes on Toney then.
{Ed002's Note - They will be considering others aswell.}

We don’t need a striker we have KING KAI.

Hi Eds,
Do you know what the position will be with Renato Sanches in the summer/ for next season?
Would there be any Arsenal or PL interest in him?
{Ed002's Note - Renato Sanches (CM) Failed January departure to Besiktas who remain interested. Agent wants a move to England. Will return from PSG to Roma and then be sold - perhaps the Middle East or Turkey.}
1.) 13 May 2024 19:51:38
Thanks for the response!
One final question, do you know what the plan is for Sambi Lokonga in the summer? If moving on, is there any interest in a permanent move to anyone?
Wouldn’t mind seeing him get a chance personally.
{Ed002's Note - Albert Sambi Lokonga (DM) Arsenal will be open to letting him move on as part of the summer clear out. I am not aware of any approaches to Arsenal although his agents will be looking for options.}
2.) 15 May 2024 00:52:16
Do you expect a lot of changes ED or just a few expensive key signings to build on what we have? Tbf I’m hoping Smith Rowe gets one more season. Think he’s a v decent squad player when fit.
{Ed002's Note - I would expect up to a dozen departures.}

Hi Ed's,
Is there any interest in Takefusa Kubo from Arsenal or any sides in EPL?
Thanks!

Hi Ed's,
Any chance Arsenal (or anyone) are interested in Dumfries?! Looks quality.
Thanks.
{Ed002's Note - Not Arsenal.}

Hi Ed's,
Unfortunately a bit of a 'how long is a piece of string' question, but how secure is Arteta in his job?
This season feels like we've fallen even further behind.
I understand give him time etc and I'm not calling for his head, just wanted to know if you have info on how he's viewed internally and if a replacement would be considered at the end of the season.
{Ed002's Note - Arsenal continue to have unresolved issues with management at all levels. You know already that there are players who are not happy. You can add to that at least two who realise Arteta is not tactically astute. Whether the club want to make a change of coach is pretty much an unknown to me.}
1.) 04 Apr 2021 22:06:38
Can the club actually be happy with the job Arteta has done/ is doing?
It's difficult to think of a reason why they would be.
2.) 04 Apr 2021 22:44:30
There’s always been talk that Kronke runs his clubs specifically so they still make money being mid table, which is why many internal teams at Arsenal had their budgets cut a couple of years ago. Let’s hope that not true G62, as if it is, then I fear the answer to your question is that the club is perfectly happy with the current situation.
3.) 05 Apr 2021 00:47:10
But didn't Kronke USA team win the superbowl a couple of years back?
I really don't see what more the club could do to improve the team financially other than hire a proven coach that is.
4.) 05 Apr 2021 06:34:55
Is it the manager or the players? Players want to play I guess and my worry is MA has embarassed/ pissed off Auba v Spurs, Laca and Pepe have been left out most of the season, Bellerin on the bench now, Holding was playing well then dropped, what Martinelli must be thinking Saliba even Gabriel, Nketiah etc . Let`s face it we have been poor at times this season and still these players aren`t picked. These days it`s about keeping players happy and to me it looks like North London doesn`t seem to do a very good job at the moment COYG.
05 Aug 2020 13:05:59
Hi Ed's,
Completely random question so I apologise.
Is there any hope that Arsenal would/ could re-sign Gnabry?
Would Bayern be willing to let him go or is he in their plans?
Thanks.
{Ed002's Note - He is not moving to Arsenal.}
1.) 05 Aug 2020 14:40:07
That is optimistic walker 😂.
2.) 05 Aug 2020 22:19:21
Optimistic kinda guy!
Where will he be moving to eds?
12 Jul 2019 22:30:28
Supporting this club is actual banter.
I don't care if we miss out on Saliba, I hadn't heard of him 5 minutes ago.
Give me a defence with Holding, Chambers and Sokratis, give me some youngsters like Nelson and Smith-Rowe and give me another golden boot for Auba or Laca.
We are where we are and it ain't going to change any time soon. May as well enjoy what we have and bring some youngsters through. I dare say there'd get more support in the stadium than a misfit bunch of no good signings due to our lack of funds.
1.) 12 Jul 2019 23:49:45
I make you right 5ky we'd all get behind a bright young future IF we had a bright young manager with BRIGHT new ideas.
Personally the win 5 3 philosophy makes my heart sink into dispare every time I think of it :- (
It's DOOMED It's doomed.
2.) 13 Jul 2019 07:47:56
Although we improved last season, compared to the previous season, the biggest disappointment was that we didn’t look particularly different than under Wenger. Perhaps this is because we only made 4 long term signings, so the players selected contained a majority of ‘Wenger’ trained players. This is why we must make at least 4 or 5 permanent signings this window, so the team becomes formed by Emery and his methods. This won’t happen overnight so we must be patient.
07 Jul 2019 17:01:14
Hi Ed's,
Am I right in thinking that Emery signed a 2 year initial contract with the option of a further year?
Do you know when a decision will likely be made as to whether or not this is renewed? Or if anything is going on behind closed doors with thinking about a replacement?
Ta.
{Ed002's Note - That is not how it is structured. It is a three year contract with both sides able to break away from the contract after two years.}
1.) 07 Jul 2019 19:33:59
Ed, just a prediction here, if Emery and Arsenal decide to break away, won’t arsenal be in the EXACT SAME MESS as when Wenger left? We will not have any potential replacement again unless you can correct me?
{Ed002's Note - Arsenal are not looking for a replacement - if he were to go they will opt for someone like Arteta. The problem is the management structure and a promise made to someone who is in the mix there. I am far from convinced about Emery - but there you go. Within two years they need to fix it or be staring up and West Ham and Wolves - perhaps even Everton.}
2.) 07 Jul 2019 20:37:38
It feels like they’re prepping Ljungberg for me, that is just my own personal feeling though, not a rumour.
Could he be a candidate?
{Ed002's Note - I don’t know.}
3.) 07 Jul 2019 21:07:10
Close your eyes, clear your heart. Cut the cord.
Time to make some big decisions - our club is a mess and quite embarrassing. We’ve stagnated and can’t seem to make a decision.
4.) 07 Jul 2019 21:58:26
No manager of proven substance would join Arsenal currently because things are in such a mess everywhere at the club, but desperation sometimes provides opportunities for less fashionable candidates with fresh ideas that can sometimes bring the ingredients needed to get things back on track.
5.) 08 Jul 2019 09:19:36
Desperation can go one of two way - self destruction or hunger for survival
Let’s see what we’re made of.

10 Jul 2024 11:03:19
Great info Ed, thanks. Do Arsenal have a ‘first choice’ forward option? Intrigued to know if we will go for a main striker or a wide forward.
{Ed002's Note - It probably looks like this right now:
Karim Adeyemi (LW/S) Versatile forward who has not regained his form since moving to Dortmund and has been rather inconsistant. Prior interest of Atalanta fhas gone. Offered to Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool but each has preferred options. A wildcard might be Juventus as cover.
Jonathan David (S/AM) Lille, like many French clubs were hit hard by the loss of broadcast revenue and will need to sell some of their more valuable assets even though they do not want to. Jonathan David is valued by Lille at an unrealistic €60M. Napoli and Spurs no longer see him as a possible addition due to his price. Real Madrid have previously declared an interest but their focus has turned away as they wanted to include a player in any deal. He has been recommended to Chelsea by an ex player but the club have preferred targets - although his agent remains very keen on the move and remains in discussions with Chelsea. The Manchester United coach tried to take him to Ajax and could potentially look to taking him to Manchester United but I suspect that option will go if ten Hag departs. Aston Villa or Milan may offer a viable solution but the fee is a huge issue. A wildcard would be Brentford or Arsenal.
Ivan Toney (S) Brentford do not want to sell but are aware Toney may look to move up a step and will reluctantly look to perhaps £70M as a sale price in the summer - but will likely not get anything close to that. It would be driven by situation which could see him run down his contract next season and leave as a Free Agent - so Brentford will seek a new cantract. Newcastle no longer offer the chance of a return to the club who previously could find no use for him in the three years he was there. Arsenal, Leeds, Manchester United, Spurs, Chelsea and West Ham have all sent scouts on more than one occasion to watch him prior to his ban, but Chelsea and Spurs have preferred options meaning West Ham, Arsenal or Manchester United are likely best placed to complete a transfer, lthough Spurs are struggling to sign their two preferred choices and may turn to him. Was first choice for Arsenal but that has disappeared as the price does not drop to perhaps £40M. Aston Villa are losing Duran and could look to him.
Ollie Watkins (S) Agent is looking for options and has spoken with Arsenal.
Victor Osimhen (S) Napoli made it clear to Chelsea who enquired in 2021 that even €100M would not buy the player - but they do maintain an interest and he has been first choice and expect an offer to be made in the summer. Al Hilal may well have offered Napoli the €200M they were looking for, but that may not suit the player just yet. PSG and Real Madrid could look to him as an option but Madrid would want to offer players in exchange. He has signed a new contract and, at the behest of his agent, included a release clause. Arsenal have a preferred option and see the price as too high. There is a suggestion that Liverpool have negotiated directly with the player and his agent and not spoken to Napoli. Given Napoli registered a complaint against Liverpool over another player last year, it would seem unlikely, or particularly stupid. In the players hands next summer - may decide to stay but there will be a return from Michael Emanalo with a very good offer but I understand that Chelsea will inform Napoli that they will pay his €130M release clause in full in the summer.
Dusan Vlahovic (S) Only joined in January 2022 but financial issues that Juventus now have and goalscoring problems will determine that he is sold in the summer – but they will hold out for €70M. Regardless of his loss of form, there will be a lot of interest if he is and his agent has approached Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG. Real Madrid are also keen but, like Chelsea, have preferred targets. Chelsea were open to an exchange of players last summer but right now there is no push as his wage demands are seen as excessive and they will look to other targets first. PSG have him as a possible Mbappe replacement - but not first choice - but don't lose sight of them. As a wildcard, Arsenal may rekindle interest but would likely want to include players in any deal. Juventus have already drawn up a list of potential replacements and are working on those but a new contract on lower terms might suit them best.
Spurs may offer a wildcard option but have a preferred option to effectively replace Kane which they failed to do last summer. Sporting are looking to a new contract and an increase in his buy-out clause. Injury will keep him out to probably mid to late July or so. Will likely stay.

Martinez is no better or worse than Leno. If we’d sold Leno we would still have let in just as many goals and everyone would have been annoyed that we chose the wrong keeper. Both are average/ just above average. Wish people would stop saying Martinez is some kind of saviour - he isn’t.

Honestly Sy I have never heard someone talk so much nonsense and have such an over inflated opinion that they want the people to hear.
You say nothing positive, ever. Why even bother watching?!
Mikel has done a good job so far - I accept Monday was a bad game but against one of the best teams the league has seen in a long time.
He has changed us tactically and got more out of players than anyone expected. He does need a creative player to help generate more chances as Ozil is clearly not getting back in the squad any time soon, so if/ when that happens we will be better for it.
On behalf of everyone that reads this page, please stop posting your crap opinions as you sound deluded, or like you’re actually a Spurs fan just trying to bait people.
27 Sep 2020 21:14:43
You’ve not said 1 positive thing about a midfield that won the FA Cup 6 weeks ago.
Yes we need reinforcements but you’re being idiotic in your cutting down of our players for no good reason.
22 Sep 2020 21:24:11
Leno was talked about for player of the season last year and one difficult cross against West Ham and you’re having him out?
Short termism at its finest.
He is a quality goalkeeper - Bayern were linked with him whereas relegation battling clubs were linked with Martinez. For all the problems Man Utd and Chelsea are having in goal lately, if he was truly world class, they’d be knocking at the door as he also counts as a home grown player.
I love the bloke, massively respect his attitude and application, and also very happy how he went out on a high, but Leno is the better player.
