Will Spurs roll over for City to stop us winning or bust a gut to get into the CL? Answers on a postcard please :)

Hi Sally I don't think there is any question whatsoever that if Spurs still have a chance of top 4 going into that game they will choose their own success 1000% above our downfall. The rivalry is huge and consistent for the fans but for the players, manager and club it's a professional business above everything else.

If Spurs season is over by the time they play City it will obviously a very different senario of course and I'd expect nothing more than sunglasses, armbands and deckchairs from them, exactly as i'd expect from our player's if the role's were reversed.

{Ed014's Note - Spurs have Chelsea and Liverpool away and Burnley at home before they play City.

7pts behind Villa with 2 games in hand.

Villa have two European games either side of Brighton away and Liverpool at home.

Everything still to play for in terms of that 4th place spot.

Wolves, Fulham and West Ham our other hopes for at least a draw against City.

We just need to ensure we turn over Bournemouth, United and Everton.

I totally agree Ed014 mate, we just need to control the things we have control over. City are an excellent outfit just as we are but in premier league football no game is ever won lost or drawn until the game has been played for 90 minutes plus, there are no gimmes in the premier league, but if both us and City make it to the last game of the season totally unscathed then its important for us that Spurs need something from the game themselves if we are to need any favours from them.

{Ed014's Note - the Spurs vs City game is one of the games in hand for the spuds and is 14th May so 5 days before the final fixtures on the 19th.

Be good if Liverpool can pull themselves together and beat Villa on the 13th so that the 14th means so much more to the spuds.

Never in my wildest dreams when we signed Havertz did I think he could become this good, for us or anyone. Presses like a demon, physically strong, brilliant timing of his runs, excellent vision. My expectations were low when he was signed and I thought trying to rehabilitate him would cost us the title. Together with Odegaard though he's one of the main reasons we're still in the mix and scoring for fun. Long may it continue.

I knew there was a player in there, just needed the right coach to bring him out of his shell. a lot of people forgot, that before he went to Chelsea he was one of the most sought after young talents in Europe. and as for captain fantastic odegaard, got be one of the best midfielders in world football… NUFF SAID. 😉.

I was excited by the potential but wasn't quite sure how good he would become for us. The reception he got was very unjust in my opinion (i remember someone even calling him the worst signing of the summer) . I'm so happy for him now that he's come good.

Jorginho has done excellent well called upon and needed but isn't it brilliant to see both Partey and Rice in the middle together at last. I think this is what most fans were looking forward to seeing most once the Rice deal was completed.

The boys looked tired last 20 minutes.
As you mentioned Ed, that Raya, s mistake gave the Spuds impetus, but we dug in and came out with the 3pts, something we would not have done in the past.
Next up Bournemouth who are a good side with a clever manager but I am sure Mikel will gets the boys.

I bought my misses some goalie gloves for Christmas and told her she was a keeper- she also didn’t appreciate my putting up her photo as Employee of The Month but there you go! What do you call a snowman with a six pack? An Abdominal Snowman. As for kicking down the middle logically I guess it gives you a whole 180 degrees to pass back to ( or turn even) whereas kicking to the touch line gives you 90 degrees! I guess they are programmed to want to keep possession and down the middle is easier I guess. COYG.

Mistakes will always happen in football and all players will make crazy mistakes, whether it's missing an open goal at one end or giving a silly goal away at the other end, keepers mistakes are usually the most costly so will always be remembered long after the strikers mistakes are forgotten. Alls well that ends well 👍👍👍👍.
