That was a very, very good performance all over the pitch. VICTORY THROUGH HARMONY…there’s levels then there’s EZE 🔥🔥🔥 if I had one little thing to slightly moan about it would be raya getting done again from distance. should not be happening to a top class keeper, if he had been on the 6yard line that goal doesn’t go in.

but I love him just as much as all our other players. (so all is forgiven already) .4-1 we march on. one game at a time. ONE TEAM THE ARSENAL/ONE ❤️.

In my opinion Raya couldn't have done anything about it. He is asked to be active in possession and that suits him. When we lose the ball he immediately sprints back, but it's too good a lob. Zubimendi at fault for losing the ball.

Hi iceman hope alls good. yes zubimendi was at fault partially. but he was robbed on the halfway line… a keepers number one job is to stop the ball going in the net. all I was saying was if he was 3yards further back he would have been on the 6yard line and as professional football is about small margins that small margin of 3yards cost us conceding a goal as you saw raya was very close to getting to it.3yards further back and he’s 100% tipping it over the bar and out for the corner.

but hey mate I love the guy and honestly wouldn’t swap him for any other keeper. he’s top class and suits our style of play. I was just saying that no top class keeper should be getting lobbed from that distance. no harm done 4-1 win against the spuds and fantastic performance all round. what with Liverpool and city dropping points yesterday I think it’s been a decent weekend for all us gooners. one game at a time…🔴⚪️❤️ enjoy what’s left of the weekend iceman ✌🏻&🫶🏻.

{Ed025's Note - you would swap Raya for Alisson Gabi because he is the best around mate, i have to say though what a finish by Richarlison..quality..

A donkey with it's tail pinned to it's forehead could have finished that chance. And one did.

{Ed025's Note - come on sharpie, credit where its due mate..

He needed some luck with his shot and that it was.

 0

{Ed025's Note - it was a brilliant finish Moe, first time effort over the keeper and into the top corner mate from about 40 yards, perfect height and speed and one of the goals of the season for sure..

Can't wait Gabi!

22 Nov 2025 23:18:26
Absolutely Gabi mate, if we do the job tomorrow we will be in a strong position. City will be our rival and team to beat, with the advantage they have of two world class players at both ends in Halland and Donnaruma but we are better overall this season.

I have been looking forward to days like this. Pity about our injury situation but let us cement our credentials to be at the sumit and eventual champions. Can’t wait come on u gunners.

I have to say why is there a need to play your main men in a friendly, Gabs is the outstanding performer in the PL this year, along with Haaland, so why bloody play him, I just don't get it.

 0

17 Nov 2025 13:22:46
All internationals are main men for their clubs mate, regardless of whether they are Arsenal and Man City players fighting for titles or Burnley and West Ham players fighting against relegation.

Losing players to injuries is always really disappointing and even more disappointing when it happens on international duty but unfortunately it's part and parcel of football for all clubs who's players also play for their countries.

 0

18 Nov 2025 13:38:42
As a club we should be a bit cleverer, SAF in his pomp pulled players out of internationals when they had a big week, its a known fact.

We should do the same especially when Friendlies are involved.

A little naive I think.

18 Nov 2025 16:50:08
But what about if a player wants to play for their country at every opportunity?

It seems England players don't want to miss out on any minutes in any games under Tuchel, maybe it's the same with Brazil. Preventing a player from playing for their country is against fifa rules and would most likely lead to the player themselves wanting to leave a club that tried to prevent them from doing so.

Its just one of those things unfortunately and like it or not we just have to suck it up and hope he's back soon.

 2

19 Nov 2025 08:33:24
Back in the day, yes. But with club wages and bonus's the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is in club football rather than international friendlies.

I think you are a tad blinkered if you think players are desperate to play for their country in a friendly . I'm talking established internationals here, not those desperate for a first cap.

19 Nov 2025 19:58:15
Bellingham seemed pretty annoyed to be subbed in a game that didn't matter and Rogers was apparently very upset not to start that same game, Kane and Rice both pretty well established internationals seemed happy to play too.

If a player really doesn't want to play for his country in a friendly or any other game it's hardly difficult to get out of playing mate. All the evidence points towards players wanting to play for their countries apposed to them being forced to do so against their free will to do otherwise.

Getting injured in an international is a risk every player knows exists but very few choose to opt out now days Ben White is obviously an exception to most player's now days.

Gabriel out for quite a period it seems, after picking up an injury in a pointless friendly.

16 Nov 2025 11:25:12
We have the squad now mate, it's a big blow but nothing like as devastating as it would have been in any of the last 3 seasons 👍.

16 Nov 2025 11:54:17
Hi Banbury. very frustrating… especially happening just as we are entering a tough period of fixtures. calafiori also has an injury not sure how bad… will test squad depth definitely. COYG/VTH…one game at a time.

 1

16 Nov 2025 12:36:45
Just read about it, gutted to say the least. Looks like we will have to achieve something, the hard way. Injuries to key players is going to test us throughout the season.
Seriously, who plans these needless friendlies, can understand the qualifiers but if there is no competitive match then they can rest the players or play B teams to look at new players.

The Euro and world cup qualifiers schedule also needs to be looked at, the constant disruption and risks to players wellbeing doesn’t help anyone.
Hope big Gabby recovers soon and doesn’t miss many games, however, Mosquera is an able cover along with Hincapie, so we should be fine.

 1

16 Nov 2025 17:04:50
Why Declan is playing again god only knows! Stacked in midfield! Time for Mosquera, Hincapie MLS and White to carry on the good work - but Rice being injured in a meaningless rubber is unforgivable . chance for Foden etc Hmmmm! COYG.

Tte problem is most player's want to play for their countries and want to be included in international tournaments so will naturally want to keep their international managers happy. International managers will do what's right for them and their plans for the future in order to give themselves and their team the best chance of success long-term.

Im not sure how the conflicting interests of club and country can be resolved, even if qualifying games were played in the close season in between tournaments it would mean player's never got a decent summer break which sooner or later would affect their ability to perform at a high level consistently season in season out.

I think until a perfect compromise is found all clubs simply have to suck it up as it comes. There are very few Ben Whites in the game and any efforts by a club to put pressure on their players not to play for their countries could easily back fire on the club.

 1

16 Nov 2025 22:38:52
Unfortunately it's tough at the top. It comes with the game as you attract better players they will have. We now have a great manager a great starting 11 a good bench and a good squad we should now concentrate on improving the medical team and the people who are responsible for maintaining the players health.
