Hey ed14, hope you and your family are doing good

How good has King kai been

Arteta doesn't get enough credit.

{Ed014's Note - hiya Mal all good thanks and all have them have showed up and after his start Kai has just worked hard and it’s all paying off for him.

How good is Declan Rice though! What a signing

06 May 2024 17:22:53
Ed mate Declan is so good he could end up in mole if Keane and paddy

God things are looking superb.

{Ed014's Note - I think I know what you’re saying mate and every bit as good or better for me.

That run he did at 90+ minutes to score against Bournemouth was unreal.

Liverpool fan in peace. Just want to say how refreshing it is to see a page of fans grateful for how far Arteta has taken your team despite not delivering the big one. Too many fans throw their toys out of the pram unless anything less than 1st place is achieved.

Kudos.

Arteta OUT! Someone was going to say it so may as well be me. Carry on as you were and hope you lads land a decent manager.

Hi 78 mate, how very true, I haven't looked at the Liverpool page since the early stages of last season when some fans were calling for Jurgens head just a few months after your brilliant season prior to last seasons, total madness in my opinion. I think what every Liverpool Arsenal City Chelsea and United fan wants is for their club to compete at the top and not be too far away from the eventual winners. All are big clubs and no fan is going to be happy to finish 20 to 30 points behind the eventual champions for two or three consecutive seasons but any team that is within 5 or 6 points after 38 games is doing ok in my book mate.

How optimistic are you about life immediately after Jurgen 78 mate?

Whatever happens for us gunners now. thank arteta, the coaching staff and our hugely talented squad of players, who have given us our ARSENAL back. and if they keep this trajectory going, we are in for plenty of good times ahead. the road is less bumpy and scenery becoming more beautiful. COME ON YOU GUNNERS/ VTH. ONE TEAM THE ARSENAL/ ONE ❤️. ARSENAL TILL I DIE. 🔴⚪️ p. s never forget you could have been a chicken on a beach ball fan, and life would be real 💩😉.

{Ed014's Note - I’d also add that we must be a very attractive option for the best younger players in the transfer market too come the summer.

Morning Ed 014. hope alls well for you and the missus, and life is treating you kind. yes mate I think arsenal will be a huge attraction for new signings. it’s good to be a gooner. ✌🏻&🫶🏻.

 0

{Ed014's Note - morning Gabi yes all good mate and hopefully likewise with you and yours.

It is a fantastic time to be a gunner mate and Arteta has done an incredible job in turning us around from where we were when he joined.

So many doubted him and that includes me.

I edit other pages and it amazes me that other fans think he’s arrogant/cocky etc.

I never get that impression and that’s not because I’ve got red tinted glasses.

I guess it just shows he’s getting things right if he erks others so much. 🤷‍♂️

I am one of those people who wanted Arteta gone after two 8th place finishes, how wrong I was and how happy I am that no one with any powe at Arsenal listened to me, wise people.

Arteta has learned his trade on the job and has learned from his own mistakes gets far more right than he gets wrong with each season that passes, we are extremely fortunate to have a manager, club and squad who want everything we want ourselves and are becoming more and more capable of achieving our collective dreams. 10/ 10 for Arteta this season in my opinion as anything else would be nit picking.

I trusted the process, I wanted to give Mikel a chance. I did change my mind in a couple occasions though

Well said john.

Hi Mark unquestionably Arteta has got better and better and better as time has gone on, the difference last season to the season before was huge but this season he's stepped up several levels again in my opinion. I am now of the opinion that I will back his decisions 100% even if they are not what I would do myself, as I have come to the conclusion he actually might know better than me, shock horror, who knew 🤔🤔🤔🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫.

Arteta asked us to trust the process, and I have from the start. he had a hell of a lot of deadwood to get rid of and crappy culture to re-address, and it was always going to take some time. (which thankfully he has been granted) . I trusted him for the simple fact. he played for us. (the arsenal in his heart) . under wenger and was pep’s assistant. and over the course of roughly 9 years of mentoring under two of the very best coaches in world football… (pep even insisted we should stick with Mikel) . and if you can’t learn anything in that time from two such greats… you may as well get your coat… keep trusting that process. he will lead us back to the promised land. The Arsenal are back for good, mixing it with the best. 🔴⚪️❤️.

Last season Arteta learned the lesson and value of playing a settled best available 11 in all premier league games the benefits paid off handsomely but unfortunately the team ran out of steam, he learned from this but didn't throw out the baby with the bathwater and rested players where necessary this season rather than through trying to keep everyone happy, the result has been genuine competition for places rather than rotation rotation rotation for the sake of tinkering or player pleasing. And we now have an awesomely competive yet united squad with strength in depth we haven't seen anything like for years where all players are playing to keep or regain a place in the starting 11. Martinelli is currently not in that starting 11 but will become a much better player for having to fight to regain his place in the long run, things haven't looked so good at The Arsenal for a very long time.

I was a regular critic of Mikel, but he has proved me and the other doubters wrong. He sets the bar high because he truly believes that as a Club we should strive for that. The quality of the squad is there for all to see, the atmosphere in the stadium is absolutely bangin. Lastly without being to disrespectful to the other clubs there, s not a fixture in the season where I don't think we can get 3pts
COYG❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.

Great post Bill mate, this is where we all wanted us to be, only one team can be champions each season no matter how well 3 or 4 teams play, only one can ever finish top. If we keep doing what we are doing our time at the top will come, this season, next season or at some point in the near future and it won't be long before someone else gets to be top for a bit. It's all about genuinely being in the race and crossing the line first is the icing on the icing on the cake rather than the cake itself. Absolutely having to win and be number one to be happy and enjoy the season is a game played by losers 99% of the time as any fan of any club knows all to well 😀.

It is what it is mate enjoy the season I'm hoping either Fulhamor West ham to but it in our favour. Either way I have loved every moment the last couple of seasons and that's down to the club manager and the team so a big than you from me and hoping for trophies to start rolling in from next season.

{Ed025's Note - don’t rule out this season yet G4E. Strange things happen in football mate..

If we go into the last game of the season still very much in the hunt what a season no matter how it ends, we fans have been treated to outstanding performances and results and if we end up as champions that would be the icing on the icing on the cake. Still all to play for in this wonderful season where we are officially back in big boy pants and looking damned hansom in them too.

05 May 2024 05:30:22
I think Fulham are our only hope, but alas they have nothing to play for.

As long as we keep our end of the bargain by beating United and Everton I'm extremely happy with whatever happens SW mate. I don't suppose I'll be getting in winners pr runners up medal or allow to put trophy on my mantle piece how ever it goes.

Personally my medal and trophy are enjoying a wonderful season and The Arsenal being back where I always wanted us to be.

I agree G62. I said at the start of the season winning the league requires Lady Luck to be on your side. Man City seem to have Lady Luck chained up at Etihad. Coming second 2 seasons in a row is nothing to be ashamed of. We should remember were we have been for the past 20 years. This season for me has shown or first team is formidable and one that can hold their own against any team. We fell short by having a weaker squad than the rest and therefore not being able to rotate. This showed before the break we had this season and our team was able to reenergise. Next season I would like to see us to be able to keep our starting 11 and on long term contracts with the club being in players that would improve our bench and give the youth an opportunity like in the wenger era use them in cup games to take pressure of the main squad. Overall I’m a happy gunner and happy in the direction we are heading.

05 May 2024 14:08:42
Absolutely G4, the real prize for the fans is how well our team runs the race rather than whether our team cross's the line first or second. Yes the winning team and its fans get ti celebrate for a week and bragging rights over the summer but just a few day's after race has been run all thoughts and talk quickly turns to next seasons new race and how we can run it even more superbly run than last seasons race.

Of course it's not nice to win and be the crowned champions for the season just ended but enjoying the 9 month race itself is far the biggest and best prize on offer each season.

Theo Walcott was talking on Radio 5 during our champions league last 16 game with Porto and he was explaining that during his time at Arsenal there was never any real expectation or pressure on the players to win or even challenge for 1st place and that all the players knew top 4 was 100% expected of them and heads would definitely roll if top 4 wasn't achieved each season. Theo aslo said that in 2016 when Leicester won the title there was a feeling among the players that the title was within their capability to win but there simply wasn't the hunger or the expectation from anyone at the club for them to have to achieve it, he went on to admit how envious he was of our current squad of players to be playing for the club at a time where absolutely everyone at the club was 100% committed to Arsenal being champions of England and Europe this season and every other season.

For me personally knowing that absolutely everyone at the club genuinely wants it as badly as the fans want it again is absolutely good enough for me because no one can promise to be the best team in the country each year but everyone can promise to give all they have to be the best team in the country each and every season.

Hello John mate.
I think the 2016 season was when Arsene definitely missed his chance of a 4th premier title.
The biggest gripe I got with Wenger is the spin he put out to us Gooners of 4th spot is a good as a trophy and throwing his toys out of his pram if anybody had the audacity to question him, telling everybody of the right financial restrictions put on him and we should remember his past record and all the time being one of the highest paid managers in the world.
Your right John, no one has the right to be top dogs, you have to earn that and Mikel and the boys are certainly giving it a go and I am absolutely loving this journey wether it will be watching at the Emirates, on the tv on the radio, live chat or when my nerves are shredded behind the setter

Let's not blame lord Wenger. N holding his wage against him is definetly wrong considering the role he had was not just a manager role but also the scout the finance and guarantor for the huge bank loan we had. What he did for Arsenal no other person would have done for any club. We should all move on we get a great time under Wenger who managed to take us to Emirates and pay the loan while still keeping us in the mix. We have an excellent future as long as the owners don't start selling our best assets come the summer and do invest in a better squad players. We need to bring in our youth and show the fans a glimbs of the future.

Hi Bill and G4 i am just sharing what Theo shared about his time at Arsenal and his envy for what today's Arsenal squad receive and have expected of them and the results performances this mentality brings. No one can argue that something was very wrong when our player's used totally surrender on the pitch to Liverpool City and Chelsea and get absolutely thrashed then go straight into the changing room and post selfies of themselves laughing and smiling, why was that ever allowed to happen once let alone repeatedly, that doesn't create the impression of a club that is committed to being the best and it does back up what Theo says.

For me personally having had to endure that period of lack of desire and near enough being more than good enough at the club makes me fully appreciate today's squad and manager and trust that even on the bad days when things don't go well they are every bit as disappointed and care every bit as much as we fans care, and that for me is why today's Arsenal deserve our totally our respect regardless if they finish up champions or runners up this season.

Just doing all we can! What a strike from Gabriel assumed it was Jesus! Rice MOM but Kai again so important! Partey quietly doing his thing - remember him and El Neny ( El Ninny oh I miss Steve R and his sunny ☀️ disposition) at OT when we won . Same again.

Very moving tribute to the young boy who so tragically lost his life before the game and during it.
For me Havertz was MOTM, very very underrated olayer.
Come on Wolves👍👍👍.

Tottenham Hotspur, the gift that keeps on giving 🤣🤣give that man ange a 10 year deal. 👏🏻. the spurs mob thought ange was the guvnor because he won the lot with Celtic. there's a massive difference between English prem and Scottish prem. he's out of his depth. and the honeymoon period is well and truly passed. and he's got a bang average squad. I didn't see the Chelsea v spurs game tonight. but can just imagine the Chelsea lot signing 🎶🎶you must be 💩, 🎶🎶 we're winning 2-0🎶🎶 . Anyway enough about that lot up the road. just wanted to say. it's so good to be a gooner. ONE TEAM THE ARSENAL/ ONE ❤️🔴⚪️⚽️ COYG/ VTH.

They gave him the London manager of the year award in December! 🙄 What's the point in an award for the year, that contains 2 half seasons, then giving it to someone who'd only been in London half the year, not knowing how the season would end, bizzare.

 0

02 May 2024 22:40:43
The only worrying thing though Gabi is that their season could be over by the time they play City, and they’ll just roll over.

 1

02 May 2024 23:14:45
Absolutely agree HG, if all spurs can offer their fans is not helping us then their hardly going bust a gut to annoy their own fans. There has to be something in it for them v City. I think we should move on from spurs when looking for an opponent to get the point we need them to get from a City.

03 May 2024 00:04:53
might get caught by united at this rate. 5th gets a CL spot right?

 0

03 May 2024 00:59:20
I don't think 5th will roge, I think Italy and Germany are getting that.

 0

03 May 2024 12:28:45
They raced away at the beginning of the season playing on the attack with high line and got close I think to half their current points in 10 games. Then got beat by Chelski playing a high line with 9 men. Then managers figured them out ( no plan B) and their form since is low mid table. In Scotland he had the best players so could do it - his team are awful and we gifted them an opening. They’ll keep Ange - he’ll want to beat city but they ain’t up to it . Muppets COYG.

02 May 2024 16:01:07
Looking at the bigger picture we want a Tottenham win tonight.

 1

02 May 2024 16:59:17
Absolutely Bill, I couldn't care less if they get 4th place or not mate but I really want getting something from the City game to matter to them every bit as much as it matters to us.

 0

02 May 2024 17:12:54
Absolutely John mate.

 0

02 May 2024 21:08:02
They are sh”t don’t ever depend on them. The only thing that you should expect from them is not win any trophies.

 0

{Ed014's Note - let’s be honest if Raya hadn’t gifted them a goal we’d most likely have pumped them for 5 or 6.

They’re absolute garbage!

 0

02 May 2024 22:29:42
Based on tonight’s performance Spuds won’t have anything to play for when they come up against City so will likely be in holiday mode.
