Ed14 you've been quiet. What's your opinion on it all.

{Ed014's Note - in my opinion we’re genuinely wasting our time with Arteta.

We are exactly the same easy pushover we’ve been for years, he’s instilled no steel or genuine style of play.

We play with a Captain whose not fit for purpose, we have a manager who fails to get on with senior players because they don’t believe in him.

We had Mari and Leno arguing with each other with less than 5 minutes on the clock, it showed a huge weakness and Brentford and their crowd were all over it.

We are wasting some genuine talent in our squad on a manager with nothing in the bank other than he’s a Pep wannabe.

Nothing about the club sits right with me from top to bottom, we could and most likely will be zero points on the board 3 games in.

I don’t see anything right now to make me think we are anything other than a bottom half team at best.

I’m not supposed to be negative as it upsets a few but I’m just not being duped into thinking or believing this is getting better anytime soon.

It’s reality Ed, end of . No point in saying things to please people, we are going to be a lower half side I’m afraid

Be interesting to see how many times we fill the stadium.

{Ed014's Note - it is reality mate, how long can you keep watching the same thing over and over and not realise it.

See signings like Luiz and Willian, see players wasted like Torriera, Saliba and even Guendouzi.

Failing to move on players that are clearly just not good enough like Xhaka, Nketiah, Elneny, AMN, Kolasinac, Mari and Nelson.

Hear that senior pros have no time for Arteta, not learn from the mistake of paying Ozil a weekly fortune and then do it all over again.

Hearing that Edu is a hapless negotiator unless he’s spending 72 or 50 million on players we didn’t need.

And then there’s Kroenke!

Nail. Head. Hit.

We don't appear to be able to learn from past mistakes. Arteta reminds me of Henry Winkler in the Waterboy. Just muddling along hoping something will work, its not good enough for Arsenal.

Shut up Ed you're upsetting me lol.

Joking aside everyone be as negative as you like there's no positives from yesterday. I get the whole reason people want arteta gone. But do we not think others above him are doing a rubbishter job. Like edu.

{Ed014's Note - I think I covered that mate, the whole club is getting a bigger joke by the week.

Sorry to upset you though fella. There are positives but they are mostly the young guns.

That aside we honestly haven’t taken a step forward in the way we play have we?

We, no matter who was missing from our side, got out fought, smarted and played by a Championship side with not one stand out player!

I think it's much important to be you and share your own honest opinions than to be right or keep others happy.

I like hearing all opinions especially when people explain why their reasons are for feeling a certain way as it can sometimes help you see things differently yourself.

{Ed014's Note - I want to see a hat full of positives 62 but they’re simply not there.

Good to hear your opinion Ed and I support every point you make. But the naivety in me makes me want to still be believe. That’s because I can’t switch and support another team and I’m not ready or will to give up on club football just yet.

The situation we’re in sometimes makes you want to question yourself. Why you must come through this year after year. You can’t choose your family yet we stick to a club like we were born into it.

I have to be explaining to daughter that I can’t switch team it’s just not acceptable.

{Ed014's Note - I think the truth is we all what to believe that what’s happening isn’t really happening.

I want to see things going in the right direction but it clearly isn’t.

I’d never support another club, Arsenal is mine through thick or thin it just happens to be pretty thin right now.

The right man in charge could easily change all that!

I totally agree Ed014 mate, there is nothing positive about what's happening right now

People say we have to back Arteta, he will come good, but no one ever explains why will he suddenly become good?

I'm positive about the long term because we have a fantastic fan base and sooner or later something will give and we will start moving forward again, we are a sleeping giant just waiting for someone to come along and wake us up.

{Ed014's Note - agree totally, especially your last paragraph 62.

8.) 14 Aug 2021
14 Aug 2021 23:07:23
You can't wake up something that blindly believes its following the right path. We are no better now than we were 5 years ago despite spending millions.

9.) 15 Aug 2021
14 Aug 2021 23:45:01
Ed stop beating around the bush and just say what you mean 🤣🤣.

{Ed014's Note - good point, I must remember to stop sitting on the fence! 😂

10.) 15 Aug 2021
15 Aug 2021 00:01:10
Out of interest Ed014, who would be your realistic candidate (s) to be that right man to instil hope and belief?

{Ed014's Note - Nagelsmann has forever been the one for me but to be honest I don’t think we can trust the owners to have a cat in hells chance of being switched on enough to get the right man.

11.) 15 Aug 2021
15 Aug 2021 01:54:46
Not upsetting me here Ed its all the truth. I'd happily agree with all the signs point to getting rid of arteta but for me I don't think it'll change much. There's just so many useless people above him.

What frustrates me enough is we haven't seen enough to know if arteta will become good or not. Perhaps that's me being blind but with the players we have not seeming to care less and edu not sealing the needed transfers how can we see what he truly is capable of. It's just one big rubbish show 😂.

{Ed014's Note - that’s the thing though mate, we watched the same pathetic stuff all last season to then see the same thing in pre season and low and behold the first game of the season against what in all honesty are still very much a championship club.

No disrespect to them as they are clearly really well run and have a half decent manager.

12.) 15 Aug 2021
15 Aug 2021 06:19:14
Who would you have in charge Ed. i think a coach that knows how to get players to defend would be a start and I will never give up on arsenal but might stop watching them as it doesn't excite me no more I watched man u yesterday and I hate to say it but the way they played was good to watch.

{Ed014's Note - right now I’d take Sam bloody Allardyce! 😂

13.) 15 Aug 2021
15 Aug 2021 08:23:07
Someone who can get on with and the best out of established players and young players alike, would be a step in the right direction.

Sparky mate, the Kronkee's Edu and Arteta are not the club, they simply have control of the club right now but it won't be that way forever.

The Arsenal are a sleeping giant, the people currently running The Arsenal are lots boys, so completely out of thier depth, change will come, it always does.

What's so frustrating is the culture of mismanagement over the last 4-5 years, with all three managers complicit. I love Wenger but he should have moved on after the Cup Final. Emery was a reactive manager and didn't build a rapport with the fans or players, Arteta has been handed the keys based on putting out cones at city and realises how lucky he is to have this job. Strong managers would challenge the ineffective executive team; Arteta won't do that because he must be aware of his own job security. We've got guys running the club who know nothing about football - a new director of football who signed a promising CB for 50M when the other end of the pitch should have been the focus - Edu who spends most of his summer on holiday. When you look at the numbers, you can't say the Kronkes haven't put the money up - they absolutely have - it's just been spent terribly. They are guilty of trusting the wrong people and delegating to individuals that are not experienced or skilled enough for the job Arsenal need. We're a huge club, we spend more money than Chelsea on wages, and we're lightyears behind them on the pitch. We need some proper football people at the club that remember our standards - until that happens, we're not going anywhere.

I can`t disagree Ed at all . I think the telling points are MA has said he had 5 great training weeks and the boys were ready! For what exactly?

No difference at all and Oedegaard is hardly the answer, fed up of lightweight pushovers all over the place. Bissouma a priority. Him and Partey please .

Genuinely believe we aren`t as bad as Friday and am hanging on to fact that PEA Laca Partey Saka and Gabriel would have made a difference but time is running out as no change and think MA and EDU should go as a pair as recuitment and selling poor.

This sickness thing - unless C.V. - with PEA and Laca is bollox and football is full of managers sacked because of player power. Never been upset by people being negative but as I said before I would give until Christmas but that time frame is shrinking particularly after the same old on Friday and if MO is the saviour we are in trouble and a change of driver looms .

An easy six points coming up though! COYG Sam Allardyce though Ed haha.

{Ed014's Note - obvs Sam Allardyce was a joke!😂

Nothing smells right though mate, the sickness thing is defo bollox and two of the senior players who don’t like his methods.

I’m certain we have plenty of talent and I can’t believe Bissouma is available and we’re still sat on our hands. We could have held onto Saliba and used the White money to get him in.

I certainly can’t see him lasting long mate!

16.) 15 Aug 2021
15 Aug 2021 09:48:56
I like it Ed for me I'd like Sean dyche think he would do great with what we have but don't think others would have my view.

{Ed014's Note - it’s how he’d be offensively that would be the concern, but he’s never had the chance at a big club so it’s hard to know mate.

17.) 15 Aug 2021
15 Aug 2021 11:35:22
It would be good to see change before this window closes 62.

I shouldn’t be so caught up with it because I said sometime back we’ll be crap until 2022/ 23 season if memory serves me right, but at this stage it looks unlikely.

You said it as joke Ed14 but Big Sam would stabilise this team and have them fighting.

I have never seen the coaching staff looked so concerned/ worried even when we were losing all five games on the trot. That’s a sign there’s big problems behind he scene.

{Ed014's Note - whoever it is we need them to be like Klopp and take the by the scruff and get some bite into them.

We had that with Guendouzi and Arteta sacked him off!

18.) 15 Aug 2021
15 Aug 2021 12:26:02
Exactly that’s what I want to see players get angry 😤 and frustrated when losing. We use to have players with bite and passion and Guendouzi represent that now he’s gone. We can get the best ballers out there but until we start to knock people over and instilled fear every team will have a go. We use to challenge the opponents and even the referees in packs now they just shrugged us off, it makes my blood 🩸 boil.

To honest I think it goes back to Arsene Wenger he made us soft once the cards were stacking up and media jumped on it. I just can’t understand why it still lingers, it’s bad.

One of MA problem now is he wants to play slick football without an enforcer in the team.

{Ed014's Note - that’s why Partey and Bissouma would be ideal in our midfield.

City and Liverpool play slick football but the have Fabinho and Fernandinho and plenty of others that aren’t powder puffs! Even David Silva, when he was there and Kevin De Bruyne get stuck in.

19.) 15 Aug 2021
15 Aug 2021 13:34:05
Exactly, and part of the issue is he’s not fixing the now.

Spare a thought for the new boys, Sambi looks shields his ball well and play mostly the simple passes which keeps the game flowing. Tavares looks like he has a desire to shire. But this is another level for them and will need time. They need fighters and winners otherwise mediocrity will seeped into their boots. And White looks like he need a stalwart beside him. He’s not reading the game well and sells him easily a few times. Seen it in preseason as well and seems to lack any sort of aggression whatsoever for a defender. Apparently he can play DM, RB and CB but he can’t jump, which is a shame. I’m not a big fan of Maguire but he’s aggressive.

Sadly I can’t see us buying Bissouma again. Looks like the emphasis is on an AM centred around Odegaard. Intelligent footballer but not effective enough for me. He might make a good manager one day 😁.
