Hi Ed any truth in the rumours we are linked to Mikel Oyarzabal?

YardGooner

{Ed002's Note - I would not have thought so.}

1.) 24 Jun 2022 18:47:04
Thanks and have a good one.

14 Jun 2022 11:23:00
Hi Ed, with talks of Tavares going out on loan and some clubs showing an interest in the player. Has Arsenal shown any interest in Rayan Ait-Nouri?

YardGooner

{Ed002's Note - No but there is interest from elsewhere.}

1.) 14 Jun 2022 12:48:31
Thanks. Have you any idea of the clubs' mindset or specifics that they look for in their recruitment process? Maybe if we have that understanding it would help to tapper our expectations.

{Ed002's Note - I am not going to get in to that level of detail.}

Hi Ed, is Arsenal showing any interest in Darwin Nunez?

YardGooner

{Ed002's Note - Darwin Nunez (S) Benfica don't want to sell Nunez but they have had serious interest from two sides. Manchester City enquired about Darwin Nunez in the summer were told he won't be available before the summer of 2022. Borussia Dortmund are keen. MIlan have a sustained interest and tried to sign him before he moved to Benfica, but significant financial issues mean they will need to sell other assets as they have other players they wish to add as well - and he is the most expensive of their primary Ibrahimovich replacement targets. Barcelona have enquired knowing that signing their preferred option is unlikely, but were told they would have to pay his €150M release clause to sign him. Inter want to replace Alexis Sanchez with Nunez but moving on Sanchez is a serious problem for them. Suarez will leave Atletico in the summer and they might provide the best solution. Brighton has a declared interest but it will go nowhere. Arsenal have shown an interest but are far from attractive option and possibly a step back. Scouts from many sides have been watching a number of Benfica players.}

1.) 04 Dec 2021 23:33:14
Very detailed, thanks.

22 Aug 2021 10:23:53
Ed any truth in the Asensio rumours, is Arsenal interested?

YardGooner

{Ed002's Note - Marco Asensio (RW/LW) Goals have dried up and his representative is working with a third-party agent to find a club willing to pay something like €40M for the player. The third party has said that the player ideally wants a club in the Champions League but the discussions he has had have been with Leicester City and Leeds so far and admits knocking on the door of other PL clubs including Arsenal. Real Madrid may be open to using him in a part exchange deal of some type.}

1.) 22 Aug 2021 14:43:32
👍🏾 Nice one.

16 Aug 2021 20:45:13
Auba / Cortinho swap making the news.

YardGooner

1.) 16 Aug 2021 22:10:04
Getting rid of one player on stupid wages who seems to have lost it for another with the same problems. Typical.

2.) 17 Aug 2021 07:55:53
And Kia Joorabchian is his agent 🤦.

3.) 17 Aug 2021 08:21:32
I see arsenal would like coutinho neto or lenglet as the swaps I'd rather the cb or gk I don't want coutinho.

4.) 17 Aug 2021 08:51:09
Id be asking for both Neto and one of Untiti/ Langlet.

5.) 17 Aug 2021 09:43:59
Im a fan of Lenglet, not a fan of Neto or Coutinho. But, I don't think we need Lenglet at all. If Auba doesn't want to be at the club, or doesn't see eye-to-eye with the manager, sell him. Swap deals always seem weird. Invest the money in a new striker (no idea who at this stage mind)

{Ed002's Note - Who do you expect to buy him?}

6.) 17 Aug 2021 10:09:22
Think there desperate enough to put Pedri and Fati in the deal Ed 😂😂.

7.) 17 Aug 2021 10:46:47
Hi Ed how does a swap works exactly especially if one player is on a higher salary especially if no exchange of funds is involved? Is it just a bilateral loan where one club take the other player and pay his existing salary and vice versa?

{Ed002's Note - No, it is a case of salary's being renegotiated.}

8.) 17 Aug 2021 11:33:06
Being honest Ed, I don't see who could buy him with the crazy wages the club provided. Not his fault of course, its the club who were daft enough to offer him such a wage, but absolutely limits his options. Barca's current position surely rules them out.

{Ed002's Note - Unless they can move Griezmann or Coutinho on and he reduces his demands.}

9.) 17 Aug 2021 11:35:07
Ok thanks.

10.) 17 Aug 2021 12:07:44
I suppose a straight swap with Griezman is out of the question?

In your dreams Sally

Haha.

11.) 17 Aug 2021 13:40:10
The whole coutinho swap with auba rumour confuses me (a common occurrence! ;) ) Wouldn't Barcelona have to reduce a lot more of the wage bill before being able to register a new player? I am guessing just coutinho is nowhere near enough to meet the requirements of the Spanish league.

{Ed002's Note - Messi has gone, Coutinho earns a lot, as does Griezmann. Others are leaving as well.}

12.) 17 Aug 2021 13:48:59
Fair enough Ed002. I know this is the arsenal page, but I struggle to see who would take those players without Barcelona having to pay a large part of their wages. Anyway, you have addressed this rumour earlier, thanks ed.

13.) 17 Aug 2021 17:13:01
One thing arsenal have lacked for a while is goals from players outside the box that aren’t the striker. Coutinho would add that threat you’d like to think though my gut is saying it’s another William case waiting to happen where we’re stuck with an aging player that’s not in the starting team.

14.) 17 Aug 2021 17:14:39
Ed Artetas job has to be being monitored closely. The board may not care about winning things but they’ll certainly be worriesd about the lining of their pockets and Arsenal now not even in Europe, our kudos is dropping fast. Any truth in the Conte links?

{Ed002's Note - Be they lost one game?}

15.) 17 Aug 2021 20:19:53
I hear ya Ed. I really like Arteta and how he holds himself, but can you honestly say you can see an identity in our style of play? What I can see, correct me if I’m wrong, inconsistent intensity, very predictable plays out from defence which time and time again we get caught out and possession style that looks like we’re keeping the ball for the sake of it?

No one is talking about us needing another striker. Nketiah got a lot of stick last season, especially in the first half for not being good enough. So is he good enough now to rotate/ cover Jesus, more with four competitons and a world season?

YardGooner

1.) 08 Aug 2022 01:32:03
I have always rated Nketiah. Some time ago I said that he's got 20 goals a season in him if he gets a fair shake and I stand by that. His work rate has improved considerably too. He's more than good enough to start in the cups - if we were in the Champions League then different story but he could still reach that level in time.

I get the feeling Martinelli is the 'third choice' striker in case of injuries.

2.) 08 Aug 2022 09:03:08
Usually we go with three keepers, Leno`s gone Okonkwo on loan surely Runarsson isn`t good enough for third keeper. Are we looking? I thought Eddie looked stronger and faster v Palace but agree we still look light - other top teams have more strength in depth. Hoping we put right and sure we are looking COYG.

3.) 08 Aug 2022 14:33:51
Pretty sure Karl Hein was/ is being promoted to the 1st team Sussex.

4.) 08 Aug 2022 15:43:46
Good work AWRAWA! Feel a bit happier now! Still shows Runarsson on website but if they feel Hein is good enough then it’s ? from me COYG.

14 Jun 2022 11:25:36
Ed014 are you ok mate, with what's happening across town in comparison to us hope you're not in panic mode?

YardGooner

{Ed014's Note - I’ve literally no idea what’s happening across the road mate, don’t take any notice of transfer windows.

The only thing I will say is from behind the scenes there’s no certainty that Saliba will be here next season.

Now that does slightly annoy me to put it mildly!

1.) 14 Jun 2022 17:17:44
He’s said on his social media, internationals done my next game will be in an arsenal shirt.

2.) 14 Jun 2022 15:59:19
I understand as there is not much we can do if any. At this stage all I'm looking forward to is that new away kit.

{Ed014's Note - not seen that yet either?

I assume it was Bissouma you were referencing earlier mate, bit of a gamble with his potential court case but I guess they’re happy to risk it.

3.) 14 Jun 2022 21:30:09
Well yeah didn’t want to mentioned his name just in case it hurts more ?.

{Ed014's Note - ?? I’d doubt we even considered him to be fair, we’re to busy chasing that fat lad Tielemens! ?‍♂️

4.) 14 Jun 2022 22:01:41
A quick recap on what's actually happened.

A player who had options took the chance to join a team who finished top 4 last season and play champions league football next season under a top class manager who has won titles in Italy and England, as things stand he is with a club and manager that is in a very good position to finish top 4 maybe higher next season and play champions league football again the season after next.

No neutral will be shocked by his decision as it's one most people in his position would have made.

5.) 15 Jun 2022 07:55:52
We are not the attraction we once were. As 62 as quite rightly said all Bissouma has done is picked the best option available to him, which at this moment in time Spurs are.

6.) 15 Jun 2022 11:32:03
Spot on 62.

7.) 15 Jun 2022 16:41:06
Doesn’t he support Arsenal though I thought? If the team you support come in for you then surely it’s a no-brainer no ?
Sad to say but the spuds are gunna be a real force next season by the looks of it thus far, fingers crossed behind the scenes we’re working on something special ??.

8.) 15 Jun 2022 17:50:30
Hi Jeg mate, I think the team you support only cuts so deep mate, someone might be a life long Brentford fan but would they turn down Liverpool City Chelsea or Spurs and champions league football for staying loyal to Brentford? Good players want to play at the highest level against the biggest names in the game and hopefully walk away from th game with the best medals and memories possibly.

If I was 20 years old and had the choice between Liverpool and Klopp or Arsenal and Arteta my heart would say Arsenal every time but my head Liverpool and both my heart and head would say Klopp over Arteta in a millisecond.

Kopp Pep Conte and Arsenal would inspire me to gamble on Arsenal coming good in the very near future but in reality Mikel is still such a long shot I doubt I'd be prepared to gamble my career on him.

9.) 15 Jun 2022 18:43:58
John I would rather go hungry than play for that shower.

10.) 15 Jun 2022 19:08:50
Fair play Mark, I personally deliberately left Spurs and United out of my equation as they would be the bitterest pill to swallow for me personally.

Spurs and Conte or Arsenal and Arteta? If my son or grandson had that choice and had grown up dreaming of playing in the CL and playing at the highest level and asked my advice if I thought where and under which manager they stood the best chance of fulfilling their dreams, should I lie and tell my flesh and blood Arsenal because they have been my team for 50 years? Or should I be honest with those i love unconditionally and tell them my true opinion, no contest for me Mark, my love for my family wins each and every single time mate.

11.) 15 Jun 2022 19:34:00
I’m sorry John I would lie

The Arsenal, family and country in that order

You can pick your team but not your family.

Today was a very good day!

In using a common cliche, He's either very brave or very stupid, following the transfer window, but I've concluded MA is very brave.

So far so good mate and no one can possibly argue with his decision if we get 4th place, I was really willing the ref to blow the final whistle today signalling another 3pts in the bag, it's been a while since I've been that heavily invested in our results, nice feeling ?.

2.) 06 Mar 2022 20:57:18
Definitely a nice feeling.

3.) 06 Mar 2022 21:54:04
I think MA is growing in the game. Learning quick.
Also liked his telling off to xhaka for pushing too forward.

4.) 06 Mar 2022 22:13:02
Trust the process. Still want kronke n crew out.

5.) 09 Mar 2022 12:22:55
The only thing I feel needs to be different in the attack at the moment is, we have Martinelli on the left but seemed to only concentrate attacks up the right through saka. I would want to see Martinelli and Tierney on the left get the ball more, Remember how Tierney stormed up the left in Europa League, also Martinelli is frightening when he runs through defenders and he does it continuously. Maybe it's what MA has asked them to do, but once both sides of attack are in sync I'm excited to see what they really can do.

05 Mar 2022 10:11:10
Don't worry fellows I'm still here ?

I get the feeling we're like at the halfway point in a progression within the season. It's like no one wants to be on the wrong side of the argument. Sort of like less wait on see, but I know we all believe.

Oh G62 the stars are still aligning ??

I think humans tend to complain more then give praise these days.
If we weren't doing great there will be plenty over here complaining and blaming someone for the failure and others defending. however when we are good its like oh we don't have much to say.
On the other hand the spurs page is just gone into depression ???.

2.) 05 Mar 2022 19:31:01
Hi Yard mate, it does seem like Jupiter is moving through Aquarius at a very funny angle and Neptune is looking to make its presence felt around the Capricorn region once again, this as all good horoscope readers know only too well, can only mean new beginnings are possible once more ???.

3.) 06 Mar 2022 02:33:33
Are we not all just afraid to jynx it and look like fools when we go on a run of six straight defeats?
Wolves disappearing, west ham slipping off too. it's ours to lose but United and spurs won't less us throw it away with a fight.

31 Jan 2022 16:45:28
Why do I get a feeling of despair on here? Come fellows chin up!

Trust the process.

I'm sort of on the same vain on the Saliba saga Hampshire. I'm going to stick my neck out and say he might be a little off the pace for the EPL, but good enough to improve. To start for The Arsenal two seasons ago maybe would have destroyed his confidence. So two seasons away might have been just right.

I have been thinking about this, as well, with the club strategy of buying young players especially in the same position it got to be part of their plans to develop and sell on, whilst still trying to be competitive. We fans have to see it has an alternative by the club to grow its balance sheet, but still remaining competitive without actually looking like a selling club.

I like what I with him free kick, penalty, passing, can play left, right and central midfield and young. Looks like competition to Odegraad.

Hey Ed014 I totally wrote Tielemans after their home game against spuds he was awful that day. Looked lazy didn’t want to run and kept giving the ball away.

YardGooner

{Ed014's Note - I’ve never seen him play Yard but lots of good things said about.

Tielemens is a defo no from me, lazy and over rated, 100% not what we need.

Late to party again, but nice win on Friday.

Not sure I would continue to play White at rb he just hasn’t got the pace and you could see that was Crystal Palace’s game plan in the 2nd half to isolate him against Zaha.

In defence of Xhaka I don’t think it was an actual dive, but expectation and momentum to collide with the player, which never happened.

Gabriel Jesus has had a medical at Arsenal ahead of a move from Manchester City, as they look to replace the non-scoring Alexandre Lacazette with a similar low-scoring forward.

Another player who has had a medical ahead of a move is Divock Origi ahead of his free transfer to AC Milan from Liverpool. I am sure Everton fans will be breathing a sigh of relief to see him leave!

Ed01 do you want to bet we'll score more than Nunez?

YardGooner

{Ed001's Note - I am not stupid enough to gamble, it is a mug's game.}
