Looks we are going with what we got, Gooners.

Not unhappy with that at all, Bill mate.

I'd have taken Haaland or Mbapppe if they'd asked us nicely and said pretty please, but if they don't have the humility to beg, then I don't think we should be making it easy for them to join us.

????

We've got enough strength in depth to have a real go at all 4 trophies this season in opinion, so im excited to see how the season actually plays out between now and May mate. ???

I'm not so sure. Missing a high speed attacking LW for the multi title dash, and a tricky finisher for striking backup.

Nwaneri and Martinelli are a loss if we don't replace them IMHO.

A lw for me needed.

I agree that letting Martinelli and Trossard go, and only replacing one of them seems strange, but our manager has just won us our first title in 22 years, plus got us to only our second ever Champions League final last season, so I think he has earned the right for us to believe he knows what he is doing, at least until things actually start going wrong on the pitch, which they haven't yet.

Right now I'd consider LW a concern - Eze hasn't exactly covered himself in glory on the rare occasions he featured there. That could change. We'll see. But, if that concern evolves into worry (or, hopefully not, full-blown panic) , at least Arsenal seem well-poised financially to make a major signing in the winter window.

If we get injuries, we are light on the lw that could be title over unless a last minute Rashford loan comes in.

Hello John, Cashman and SB, hope you are all good. Imo Vini, Alvarez, Yildiz and possibly Kroupi jr would have definitely been an upgrade on what we had, but 2 of the above didn't happen and the other 2 got injured.I think we will be back in for one of the 2 that are injured in January. The window will shut soon and Fabrizio, Ornstein and Harry down the pub who knows Sid whose wife does the cleaning at the training ground and the rumours they spread stops. We cut the wagebill and once again the financial stability of the club takes a very high predicent and rightly so.I know that rankles with a few fans when they see City and Chelsea spray money around but to be fair they get exceptionally high fees for their players, which we don't seem to manage for some reason.

We go we what we got and I personally think the squad is good enough to retain the title and go one better in the CL.If we fail through lack of goals then I am sure Mikel and Berta will get a right rinsing.
Let's get behind the team and bring home more silverware.
Special thanks to the Eds for the site and especially through the transfer window for their insights and views.
Take care each and everyone of you

Obviously Arteta is less worried than a lot of fans are, Stephen, come May we will know who was right and who was wrong to worry so much, or so little. Let's hope it turns out Arteta knows what he's doing again this season as it did last season. He could, of course, go the way of Slot, but equally he could go the way of Ferguson, Mourinho and Guardiola, and become one of the elite group of managers who have successfully defended a title.

I wouldn't bet against him joining that elite group this season, mate. ?

I'm not against Mikel Arteta at all, trust me, or the club. I just think selling 2 lw and only bringing one in was a mistake. If we get injuries, unless there is a youth player coming through the system, I've not seen one step up.

Even if we got a loan in on Rashford until next summer, it would have made me a little bit happier, that was all, as we had cover for injuries.

Hi Stephen, mate, at this moment in time, at least; to borrow from the song Red, "All of our problems are all in our heads." ?

Absolutely nothing bad has happened in the only place that actually counts, on the pitch. ???

I understand that my friend is just worried about injuries, as our club gets them a lot lol.

Something positive should have happened - I'm glad you got your strong balance sheet 62. But that won't win the league & we may not get as easy route to the final or get so many goals from corners. So weakening our main weakness is just stupid., slow & lump sums up this very poor window

Why make the job harder than it needs to be by dithering in the market when we should be strengthening our hold. Most people looking at our team see the strength in the squad but the weakness in the starting 11 - anyone watching sees it, even me. We needed a Lw & CF same old story yet the people with the rose tinted glasses mock the ones who point out the glaring weaknesses. We could still win but why make it harder by selling & not buying! Stupid - limp slow Brian
