I'm a bit sad to read Hector is leaving because of a falling out with Mikel. Bit worrying if its true.
Hope it's just rubbish journalism!

He’s not good enough.

Hope it’s true.
The sentimental attitude towards certain types of players needs to change, we’re a football club, supposedly a big one and should act like it.
Nice guy, but far too passive in all aspects of his game. Zero aggression and when Tierney plays on the other side the contrast is alarming.
Like I said he’s a nice guy, represented the club well and was a loyal servant but all too often he leaves you wanting in too many facets of his game, not least his delivery and determination to take on his opposite number.
But both parties need a change.

I agree Shambo, it's time to move on. For a while it looked like he would be our RB for a decade but sadly the injuries robbed him of his pace and he never quite adapted to the mental side of being slower. Will always have a soft spot for him but the time is right.

Best thing for player and club, I like Hector, he's a good person and I wish him all the best for the future.

Yeah I know he's probably leaving, ai agree it's the right time, but I was concerned that possibly another player has had a fall out with Mikel.

Those that like Arteta but not Belerin will dismiss it as sour grapes by Hector while those who want Arteta out will use it as more ammunition to fuel their agenda against Arteta Sally.

The truth is there is most probably no truth in the falling out story in the first place, if you listen to everything the journalist say Benzema and Higguian are in talks with Usmanov over another Arsenal contract extention 😃😂😁😣😎🙃😀.

Bellerin wanted to leave last year for a new challenge, and Arteta persuaded him to stay for another year.

Ah I get you sally, normally it’s not good sign to hear of conflict between the manager and individual players.
But I have to confess I’m not worried about it because I really believe it’s needed.
Too long now players have been setting their own standard at our club. I think it came from AWs era where he would trust the individual, Vieira has often spoken about this how Wengers man management wasn’t hands on that he trusted their desire and character.
That’s all well and good when you have Vieira coming in and getting his history and education on what it means to represent Arsenal from Adams, Keown, Wright and co…. but I think what we seen in later years when the Vieiras, Bergkamps and Henrys moved on was that Wenger never put enough emphasis on this aspect and we had far too many players come and go through the club more individually minded and weren't ‘Arsenal first’. if you remember Wenger would also ALWAYS conjure some sort of excuse absolving a player of individual accountability, it bred complacency within the dressing room. We had extremes like Nasri and RvP who found it all too easy to leave but I think we are still feeling the effects of that change of collective mindset and identity.
I mean, just look at our captain situation. I’m a fan of Auba, Lacca etc, but there’s no doubt in my mind they are individually motivated and would leave Arsenal for brighter lights and bigger wages…as is the norm for the majority of the modern pampered and entitled footballer.
Which brings me to my point, at last you say! 😂
If Artetas words are to believed about his idea of what he considers the clubs values and standard to be, which he has been consistent on from day 1, then these players are going to be asked to adopt a new mindset.
Pampered entitled players are comfortable. They don’t like any threat to their status quo. He seems to have laid out his stall from day 1 and credit to him he’s sticking to his belief that the club comes first before any individual, see Guendouzi, Ozil.
The reality for us as fans should be it’s far healthier for us to be taking a stance as a club on core values and a universally expected standard than pandering to any one individual or group within the dressing room.
If we lose the manager in the morning for poor performances but he leaves having reinstilled a sense of personal pride in what it should mean to wear that jersey, well that in itself will still be progress in my opinion as those types of players he upset or sold never had what he or we as fans wanted to begin with.

Brilliant post thank you Shambo 😊🙏.
