It's not a strong rumour but I've just read Odegaard might be available because RM need to balance their finances. Also Isco. This might be interesting:)

1.) 14 Jul 2021 14:25:39
I am not sure we need either to be honest Sally. Both would get in the way of ESR and Marinellis game time and subsequently their first team development. Personally if I was ESR and we signed either I would be straight on the phone to Villa. Also I know Isco is a very good player but I have a thing in signing players who are shorter than the match day mascot! Not sure he would last very long in the PL.

2.) 14 Jul 2021 17:15:58
It looks like Joe has decided he wants Newcastle, Granit appears to be off to Roma, Torreira off somewhere, Ainsley seems a little unsettled. So that leaves Emile, Bakayo (possibly) Thomas and Mo as definites (unless I've missed someone haha) . Unless we have a little gem coming through from London Colney do you think that's enough Epping?

3.) 14 Jul 2021 17:22:22
I agree, I don't think either of these players is an improvement on Emile. I would prefer to develop our kids, even if it means missing out on Europe again.

4.) 15 Jul 2021 16:06:37
Definitely not Sally, we do need more. But I think we need to strengthen in the CM area rather than across that front 3/ 4. I know the Willian signing proved to be a poor decision, but I do understand why we signed him (just not at that salary! ) . When you have the likes of Saka, Marinelli and ESR breaking into the first team, I don’t see how signing an established international who is only a few years older can be in any way positive for those players. That player will instantly move ahead of them in the first XI, otherwise why would they sign for us, and also being young, will be around for a long while. For me if I was ESR, Saka or Martinelli, that would be a real slap in the face and I would consider my career at the club. That’s why I understand signing someone like Willian, as in it’s someone who should offer a short term option who allows those players to rest, but who ultimately is not a long term threat to their development and first team chances. It’s funny, but maybe someone like Isco, who I laughed at, might actually fit that 2nd category?

5.) 15 Jul 2021 20:36:22
The problem Davy is ESR is a kid, so they will want to manage him - he can't play every game. Although without Europe it's easier.

30 Jun 2021 11:35:24
Morning/ evening/ afternoon eds, wherever you may be. Is there a possibility that we are going for Marcel Sabitzer please?

{Ed002's Note - Marcel Sabitzer (RW/AM/CM) RBL again expect approaches and want him to sign a new deal - although he will likely not agree to that. Milan may try again to put a package together but he is not first choice for them. Interest from Spurs remains despite the departure of Mr Mourinho. RBL have said that they are aware of the interest from Spurs and that they have also had an enquiry from Manchester United - who would want him as a replacement for Juan Mata. I expect Spurs will push but find Mr Mourinho and Roma pushing as well.}

1.) 30 Jun 2021 13:18:14
Thanks as always Ed.

28 Jun 2021 13:16:28
I quite like the rumours surrounding Nuno Tavares ⚽️ 😊.

{Ed002's Note - Nuno Tavares (LWB) Newcastle, Lazio, Burnley and Toulouse have shown an interest in the player by sending scouts but Napoli, Arsenal and Southampton have formally declared an interest in the player. The player will not want to move to be just cover.}

1.) 28 Jun 2021 15:00:12
Who saw this one coming? Not the Daily Mail, that's for sure.

2.) 28 Jun 2021 16:24:28
Thanx Ed but it sounds like he won't want to be backup for Kieran : (.

3.) 28 Jun 2021 16:49:07
Is he any good Ed?

{Ed002's Note - Clubs think so.}

4.) 28 Jun 2021 19:17:07
Thank you Ed.

5.) 29 Jun 2021 11:07:47
Benficas RB is prettty handy too, maybe an option we should look at 🤞🏼.

28 May 2021 11:32:37
According to the Athletic, Liverpool have pulled out of the race for Bissouma.

1.) 28 May 2021 22:18:57
Bissouma is not the answer here. He looked good in Brighton's team. He isn't good enough for Arsenal. You need someone who will look good and work alongside Partey. Ward-Prowse would be a good signing. Southampton would 100% sell if Arsenal went in with a good offer.

23 May 2021 11:10:16
Looks Like Kia's Neto is being talked about as a possibility for Arsenal.

Would this be a good move?

{Ed002's Note - Try searching - this has been dealt with before.}

1.) 23 May 2021 13:06:48
Thanks Ed.

The friendly against Watford is being shown in full today at 3pm on :)

1.) 28 Jul 2021 15:30:44
Thanks Sally😁.

2.) 28 Jul 2021 15:59:51
For me the game is highlighting that PEA is being played out of position down the centre. Down the left for me and Martinelli down the centre COYG.

3.) 28 Jul 2021 17:51:18
I've been of that opinion for a while now Sussex but left is Saka's territory now.

4.) 28 Jul 2021 18:41:28
Maybe Iceman but when I think of all the good things Saka does they seem to come from the right - for Us and England. I see PEA Martinelli Saka as front three with Pepe and Balogun as cover COYG.

5.) 28 Jul 2021 19:44:03
Funny you say that Sussex as I believe Martinelli will not be first choice and Pepe will be a regular. Also, despise ESR wearing the number 10 he will be used wherever.

6.) 28 Jul 2021 19:50:37
Who is our most consistent reliable performer on the left? In my opinion that's who should play there.

Moving your best performers from thier favoured position to accommodate others is a mistake in my opinion.

{Ed014's Note - more importantly, did you see the calamitous goal we gave away from trying to play out from the back!

Really could have done without seeing it! 🤦‍♂️

7.) 28 Jul 2021 20:48:26
PEA can’t play on the left when we have better options. England managers of the past made that mistake and I believe even played Gerard at right back so not to drop him. Pepe, ESR and Saka are in front of him for the left wing. PEA either delivers up front ( are we playing to his strengths or playing slow as from the back, making him play with his back to goal or lobbing balls into the box ) or he’s sold. If you are a business and have 3 great designers but only need 1 but have space for 2 accountants - what idiot sacks his accountant and puts 2 designers in accountant roles. If he’s not delivering up front replace him. If we have better options on the wing - drop him. If he sulks - sell him.
Arteta needs to grow some 🥜 s so we make the right decision for the club and don’t have to sign teenagers so he can man manage them better because they don’t know enough to question his poor tactics and decisions.
I haven’t seen the game and the fact Ed has said we are still p. ing around with the ball at the back is enough to make me not watch that shower of rubbish that I’ve had to put up with from Emery and Arteta while our soft board says - give them more time.

Anyway - I’m right behind Arteta but the guy has to F ing learn and grow a set. We’ve bet the bloody house on an inexperienced manager. That’s a decision that if it goes wrong it’s gross misconduct from the board but if it goes well then GENIUS! I’m genuinely hoping for genius as I love this club despite the crap board and poor manager.

8.) 28 Jul 2021 20:32:50
Playing out from the back is brilliant if your good at it but like you say Ed014 is so often calamitous way to play when your not good at it.

We simply aren't good at it so why not accept this and do things in a way our players can do well.

Arsenes biggest downfall was his refusal to accept that some of his personal ideals simply were not working out time and time again and for the good of the team put aside his personal ideals for methods that worked for the players he had at his disposal.

{Ed014's Note - that’s what worries me, we were horrendous at it last season and looks like we’re doing exactly the same thing again!

9.) 28 Jul 2021 21:00:31
And yet 62 didn`t PEA score tons of goals playing off the left before last season. So not moving him from his favoured/ best position because he scored feck all from the centre last season.

Remember the balls Tierney kept playing for him? Cutting in from left - Very effective. So who is our most consistent and reliable performer down the left because it ain`t Willian, Martinelli barely played and as I stated in my opinion Saka`s best moments are down the right where he kept £73 mill Sancho out the national team, so who?

Also would you keep PEA down the centre when he`s been slaughtered on here for his performances there COYG.

10.) 28 Jul 2021 21:19:16
PEA delivered on the left for two seasons so why not play him there? If he doesn`t deliver drop him simple . I`m not saying play PEA at all costs just not down the middle . Play him in a position he has been excellent in - if he doesn`t try score or add to the team drop him. In racing terms he has form there COYG.

11.) 28 Jul 2021 21:27:35
Also Sy just an observation! When you say in your post Arteta needs to grow a pair, he`s a poor manager, he makes poor decisions and uses poor tactics are you still right behind him? COYG.

12.) 28 Jul 2021 21:29:15
Can’t disagree Sussex but I don’t believe him out wide is great as he’s lazy and can’t cross the ball. I thought that all along and not turning on him. Henry swung out left to score but was still the guy in the middle. I’m happy with that as at the time it meant Pires could play. I wouldn’t have wanted Henry as a left winger. That’s my point.

13.) 28 Jul 2021 21:32:00
That’s what annoys me Ed. That and we still have bloody Leno who is useless at playing from the back. If he wanted to play from the back why sell the better keeper Emi. Wtf.

14.) 28 Jul 2021 21:48:55
I1m looking at it I guess hoping PEA scores the goals this season but can`t see him doing it down the centre. If he`s lazy and continually wastes possession with poor crossing drop him as you say Martinelli Pepe Saka would step up. Not trying to square peg round hole but square peg square hole or bench COYG.

15.) 28 Jul 2021 21:56:08
Why can’t he play the Henry role and exploit holes out wide, inside left or down the middle while actually allowing better wingers to play out wide. If he goes out wide then that should leave space for a David Platt type of run into the box from midfield….

16.) 28 Jul 2021 22:23:26
My point is who's best is that position and all other positions should play in that role Sussex mate.

Tierney is our best LB and personally I want him to play there, yes he can play CB well but LB is his natural and best position so that's where i'd like to see him play and let a CB player CB.

I get your a huge Auba fan mate, but it's all opinions.

17.) 28 Jul 2021 22:50:03
It is all about opinions 62! i'm saying Auba left who you putting there? What is your opinion? COYG.

18.) 28 Jul 2021 23:21:06
Pepe on left with Saka on right or even ESR on left. PEA is not even my 3rd choice
1. Pepe 2. ESR 3.Saka 4. Martinelli 5. PEA.

19.) 28 Jul 2021 23:44:36
My opinion is both Saka and Martinelli offer much more to the team playing there then Pea, if Auba doest score he offers very little else where as both the other 2 can be excellent without scoring.

20.) 28 Jul 2021 23:44:36
My opinion is both Saka and Martinelli offer much more to the team playing there then Pea, if Auba doest score he offers very little else where as both the other 2 can be excellent without scoring.

21.) 28 Jul 2021 23:47:32
Well what can I say but this conversation about PEA needed to be add.

As I said most of last season I think he’s lost so much. The only think keeping him at the club in my OPINION is the new contract handed out when we seemed to be desperate for a talisman.

Out wide he has some pace and may win out in a one to one. But like I said before a good defender will show him down the line where he has no tricks to get back in and will lose the ball or smashed it in hope. So lack a good cross outside the where he can’t pinpoint a teammate.

Centrally he doesn’t hold the ball up well, don’t link the play as well as Laca can and his not a good header if the ball. So will lose out on crosses coming into the box.

So I believe he’s such a liability and it looks dire to me. With MA wanting and insisting on playing out from the back there’s less chance of us playing counterattacking football when he maybe more effective. No surprise we have promoted a player from the youth team yet still looking to buy a young striker in the region of between £40-70m+

If MA was confident the club wouldn’t be sniffing around in the market and apparently now will to half Laca price to get a new striker in. Actions like this will compound the issue for years. Say, for example, we bring Tammy or Lautaro and they’re truly effective where does that leave Balogun development especially in a season without European football?

22 Jul 2021 17:28:04
I've been looking around other rumours sites and noticed Villa are possibly interested in Todd Cantwell. I wonder if he would fit the profile we are after. Two blond bombers!

1.) 22 Jul 2021 17:55:49
Sally you are supposed to be assessing players on thier footballing abilty not their looks!

Although in Calums case, oh what a man what a mighty fine man 🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒.

2.) 22 Jul 2021 19:10:02
😅🤣😂😆 but do you rate him Gunner?

3.) 22 Jul 2021 19:28:10
Calum Sally? What's not to rate?

Ronaldo and Brad Pitt, they wish 😎😎 😎😎😎.

4.) 22 Jul 2021 22:06:50
I give up 😅.

5.) 23 Jul 2021 11:08:56
Xhaka is head and shoulders above the players you mentioned. Xhaka is the most ridiculously handsome player around. Callum 😂😂.

6.) 23 Jul 2021 12:27:18
Xhaka! XHAKA! You can't possibly compare the unacceptable face of football that is Xhaka to the outstanding and ridiculously good looking Hansom Chambers.

Calum isn't Arsenal's currently longest serving player and someone who has just been added to London tourist boards top 5 must see while in London list for no reason, the man is without doubt an area of outstanding natural beauty.

22 Jul 2021 10:05:59
It's gone quiet on the Kia front. I wonder if Arsenal have learned their lesson or perhaps we've already got all his clients 😄.

1.) 22 Jul 2021 12:59:18
I can imagine that if we don't land an attacking mid, the Coutinho links will start popping up again, as he's a Joorabchian client. Barcelona are also probably desperate to get rid.

2.) 22 Jul 2021 14:31:45
4 weeks before the season starts Wire mate so plenty of time for the Coutinho Higguian and Benzema stories to get there annual rerun 😀.

3.) 22 Jul 2021 16:02:21
Apparently Neto is a Kia client too.

4.) 22 Jul 2021 17:59:18
Aldi and Lidl too Sally 😆.

{Ed001's Note - I think Lidl use Ford.}

5.) 22 Jul 2021 18:33:09
Would certainly make sense to drive up sales Ed mate 🖒.

{Ed001's Note - personally I think it is a mistake, as Kias come with that 10 year warranty.}

6.) 22 Jul 2021 19:36:38
Yes but it's important to read the small print carefully as timing belts are not covered mate.

20 Jul 2021 12:31:18
Unless I have missed it, can Ed002 help as to why the ESR contract situation keeps rolling on please?

{Ed002's Note - I am not really the one to ask about contracts - I would need to ask.}

1.) 20 Jul 2021 13:55:33
Thanks for the response Ed. I hope things are still ok with the troublesome Arsenal posters?

2.) 20 Jul 2021 14:07:41
It's going to happen Sally we just need to be patient. ESR isn't leaving and will sign a contract until 2026. It looks likely that he will also wear the number 10 shirt (he's been pictured in pre-season training wearing it already) . COYG!

3.) 20 Jul 2021 14:40:17
Hope so Glenn, can't see what the delay is really.

4.) 20 Jul 2021 15:09:34
Neither can I but I'm 100% confident that it will be fine. He loves the club and wants to stay.

12 Jul 2021 10:50:04
I am absolutely disgusted at the vitriol aimed at these young players. They are true Englishmen, not the hate-filled morons who try to bring them down with their vile racism.

Actually I only feel pity for them, it can't be easy being that angry.

1.) 12 Jul 2021 11:16:44
They are all low IQ knuckle draggers Sally. Thankfully the world has moved on and their sort are a dying breed. They also obviously don’t get irony as no doubt they are the same people that attacked the picture of the German girl crying by stating her father was a person, when in fact they are all closer to that party than any German.

2.) 12 Jul 2021 11:54:03
I guess they were taught hate at some stage in their lives Epping, babies are not born full of anger.

England have a brilliant group of young players, imagine what they will be like in a few years :)
4th 3rd and now 2nd - I'll take that :)

3.) 12 Jul 2021 12:18:35
They obviously need some kind of mental health support because to be both that angry and that irrational isn't good for the unwell individual responsible or the anyone else unfortunate enough to have any interactions with them in thier current condition.

4.) 12 Jul 2021 12:28:39
Totally agree Gunner. I can't imagine that hate will dissipate away from football, hence the need for women's refuges : (

But I digress, I can't wait to see our boy back with us for the season ahead : ( 🌶 🔥 😇.

5.) 12 Jul 2021 12:54:02
Should be :) instead of : ( !

6.) 12 Jul 2021 15:24:19
A couple of weeks ago in Ireland an Internet troll was made to pay 100k in compensation to a radio DJ.

100k should put most people off voicing their sick venum, it won't stop them feeling and thinking the way they do but it would certainly go a long way to stop them acting on thier unwell thoughts and feelings whicb would be a great place to start Sally.

7.) 12 Jul 2021 15:54:29
Gunner for Prime Minister!

8.) 12 Jul 2021 17:35:01
I'd love it Sally as my main policy would be to call in all the money in the country in and then share it out equally so everyone ends up with about 350k.

Then once I'd spent my 350k I'd call it all back in again and share it out again and repeat this process every time I ran out of dosh :-)

I can't see any problems with that policy personally 🖒😊😆😅😀.

9.) 12 Jul 2021 18:24:12

10.) 12 Jul 2021 18:31:00
Did it only occur to these buffoons that the players were black when they wanted to vilify someone but when Sterling was scoring or Saka setting up waves of attacks they didn’t see colour…it’s so disturbing to think people like this exist in today’s world and also that companies like Facebook can’t block such material and prosecute them. If you can see I was looking to buy a TV then hit me up with TV ads - why can’t you do a better job here.

The diversity in our country is one of the reasons why we are Great Briton and unfortunately some of our awkward past. Embrace it and move on. Win and lose United.

Get behind Sancho and Saka as they will be part of the golden era - if you don’t want or respect them. Scotland will have them - plus Rice, Phillips, Sterling etc etc as you don’t deserve them. These team should be treasured. You can keep Kane and Gareth though 😂.

11.) 13 Jul 2021 13:16:50
We should be celebrating we got toa final win. Or lose but nope people have to be horrible little so and so and racial abuse people because of what colour you are it don't matter what colour they wore a countries colours with pride and don't brilliant to get where they did. I am proud of the team.

I will be happy if Tammy comes to us. We have lacked a really tall guy in our box since Giroud crossed the divide :) and he's a giant!

{Ed001's Note - thank you Sally and saga (sorry I didn't edit yours so couldn't thank you then). Better late than never, a bit like the announcement of Xhaka's new lifetime contract with Arsenal as player for 10 years and then moving into coaching to work with Per Ducky Mertesacker.}
