Hello Ed002,

There is lots of speculation regarding Saliba and a new contract.

Can you shed any light at all on the situtation? Some reports are stating that the player is really happy and the club is confident of him signing an extension. However, some reports today are saying his wage demands are way above what Arsenal are offering and the club may look to sell.

Thank you as always.

{Ed002's Note - As has been explained repeatedly, Arsenal remain concerned that Saliba will look to move to PSG who remain keen.}

I wonder if they will just let his contract run down if his demands are too high. At least we will have him for another year then. Mind you that wouldn't be good if he is not a happy bunny : (.

Certainly not the best idea Sally. If there are issues then the club should sell and fetch a decent sum for the player. If he wants to look for a move after the season he's just had and the love that the club/ fans have shown him then he should be sold.

I understand that there were issues in the past with him and Arsenal but things can change and he openly said that he was extremely happy and grateful to be at Arsenal. We'll see but fingers crossed he'll sign a new contract.

Let's hope so Glenn! It's been rumbling on too long.

He is great, but no one is bigger than the club. If he's going to disrupt the wage structure, and is going to be a problem in the room, he should be moved on.

If any player isn't happy at our club, then move them on! We've seen in recent years what 'player demands' have cost us. Yup he's a great player but if terms don't suit him sell him.

Time will tell if this is just lazy journalism putting 2 + 2 together and making 5!
