Hi Ed,

I asked this question a few months ago, and you obliged me with an answer. Curious if things have changed given recent performances.

Which of the lads on loan have a future with the club (thinking of Nelson specifically) ?

{Ed002's Note - Something like this:
Alex Runarsson (G) available - may stay in Belgium.
Hector Bellerin (RB) Loan to permanent.
William Saliba (CB) Marseille want a permanent deal. Player wants out and has made it clear publicly that he wants to stay in Marseille. Arsenal want to keep him and his agent says he will stay but is seeking some assurances from the club but they have yet to make a decision over the player. Atletico offer an option.
Pablo Mari (CB) Has made it clear he wants to be playing. An initial loan to Udinese may be made permanent.
Konstantinos Mavropanos (CB) Loan to permanent with Stuttgart or an escape route from Arsenal to Dortmund.
Matteo Guendouzi (DM/CM) Marseille has an obligation to buy the player when a couple of conditions have been met. They may well have the opportunity to sell him on immediately, but are not looking to do that. Player has made clear that he will not return to Arsenal.
Lucas Torreira (DM) Fiorentina will keep him at the right price.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles (RM/RWB) looking for more playing time. Arsenal will try to keep him. Roma will not take up their option. Southampton and Newcastle may offer options.
Reiss Nelson (RW/AM) May look to run down his contract. Arsenal don't have space for him in the first team.}

Thanks Ed, very appreciated!

2.) 01 May 2022 19:02:22
Thabks Ed002 great inisght. Are there any changes in the interest shown for incomings in the summer? I know a lot depends on where we finish but could you tell us where our interests have been shown? Players like the Udinnesse RB Molina, Jesus, Rashford, Tammy Abraham, Victori Osimhen mentioned amongst other.

Thanks in advance. Love your work

{Ed002's Note - I expect changes to the targets if Arsenal don't qualify for the Champions League.}

3.) 01 May 2022 19:20:46
Thanks for the quick reply, from the previous list thatnyou provided, any other new players where we are showing interest? Even Aurelien Tchouameni amongst mentioned too.

{Ed002's Note - With a no.}

15 Mar 2022 14:16:05
Hi Ed,

Interesting to see Ballard and Balogun line up against each other. Do either have long-term futures at Arsenal?

{Ed002's Note - Daniel Ballard (CB) Millwall have been told by Arsenal that he is in their plans and will not be sold. The player will likely want to see what the future holds at ArsenaL. Seems to be well liked.
Folarin Balogun (S) was frustrated at the lack of opportunities at Arsenal and his "agent" was again offering him around in January with interest from West Ham and Bayer Leverkusen. A loan to the Middlesbrough is going well enough for his agent to be trying to get more interest. I would doubt he has a future at Arsenal.}

1.) 16 Mar 2022 10:04:26
I've always felt Flo is unsettled at Arsenal so I'm not surprised by Ed002's comments.

2.) 16 Mar 2022 12:07:45
Happy about Ballard though. Looks like we’ll have defenders who will play together for years.

Thanks Ed have a great day.

3.) 17 Mar 2022 23:10:30
Chatted with some Boro fans who think he has lots of potential, but needs another loan to toughen up. Definitely not ready for the first team yet though.

29 Nov 2021 15:06:16
What the scoop on this romanian MBappe, Ianis Stoica?

{Ed002's Note - Ianis Stoica (RW/F) has been watched by scouts from Brighton, Arsenal and PSV but FCSB have no interest in selling in the short-term unless a very significant offer were made. Not first choice for PSV who are looking for an upgrade on Doan.}

1.) 30 Nov 2021 16:40:19
Ed, is there anything you don't know?

{Ed002's Note - I really don’t know.}

2.) 02 Dec 2021 17:19:44
That response is right up my street, Ed ?.

05 Nov 2021 16:26:19
Hi Ed,

Any truth to the story of a Dusan deal?

{Ed002's Note - Fiorentina have agreed a price with a number of clubs but not yet where the player wants to move to.}

1.) 05 Nov 2021 18:35:30
Thanks Ed.

2.) 05 Nov 2021 17:42:10
are they spurs, man utd and juve ed?

{Ed002's Note - Dusan Vlahovic (S) Fiorentina eventually managed to hang on to the player regardless of the interest of Manchester City and Atletico Madrid and now want a new contract. However, Milan see the player as an Ibrahimovic back up and possible replacement - Spurs had the same view in respect of Kane - but they have now stepped back. Dortmund see him as a Haaland replacement. Roma, Juventus and Atletico Madrid offer options which would see him as a starter. The most attractive of these is Juventus. Chelsea are still a striker short and may put a proposal to Fiorentina. Inter want the future of Lautaro Martinez resolved else they will also look to him and Manchester City should not be discounted. Manchester United have had him watched but are a far from attractive option.
Manchester City approached Fiorentina and were told that the asking price will be set above €50M which came as a surprise and it would need to be a single cash payment but I rather doubt that would tempt them to sell now. Arsenal have told Fiorentina they will match the asking price3 but the player may not be interested. The player is happy to stay this year and Fiorentina want a lengthy contract extension but has made it clear he wants to move to Juventus. There is a compelling case for him to stay where he is for at least this year and perhaps sees what happens in Munich or Turin.}

thanks for the detailed reply ed.

Hi Ed,

I've been trying to hold back, but I couldn't resist.
With Lacazette and Nketiah both out of contract, can you speak to our CF targets? Are we going to rely on Martinelli or bring someone new in? You have previously said that Eddie might wind up staying: is this probable?

{Ed002's Note - Something like this right now:
Paul Onuachu (S) Arsenal and West Ham showed some interest this past summer. Unclear if it remains.
Tiago Tomas (F) Sporting are happy to letter the youngster move on as they see his development having stalled. Arsenal has been suggested by his agent as a possible destination - although he would not be one for the first team at this time but might be a potential replacement if Arsenal were to lose Folarin Balogun.
Luka Jovic (S) there was the option to return to Eintract Frankfurt on a loan with an obligation to buy but it depended on selling Andre Silva and not replacing him - but they opted for the well thought of Rafael Borre. Milan have a sustained interest but have opted for a cheaper solution. Inter wanted to take him as cover but they have much preferred options. Was offered to West Ham but nothing came of it. A third party enquired on behalf of Arsenal but come the end of the summer window there was no space for him - could return for him as a Lacazette replacement. Roma were offered him but the coach turned him Real Madrid will offer him in part exchange for others.
Moussa Dembele (S) just possibly still an option.
Ivan Toney (S) The player decided on a move to Brentford instead of Swansea or Brighton and that has worked well for him. Celtic also made enquiries. After a very good start to last season he has attracted scouts from a number of Premier League sides including Everton, Leicester, West Ham, Arsenal, and again Brighton. Brentford have no interest in selling unless the player pushes for a move. Proposed to Chelsea as a Tammy Abraham replacement.}

1.) 23 Sep 2021 09:44:53
Toney would be a really interesting shout.

2.) 23 Sep 2021 13:19:02
Ed you’ve made my day. Thanks!

3.) 23 Sep 2021 16:33:12

2.) 24 Feb 2022 22:02:37
That's a result, back in the days of Yor when United were relevant and there were 144 penny's to the £1, how may times did they snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in Fergie time.

I'm impressed.

3.) 24 Feb 2022 22:14:15
Yeah the bottoms got really tight! Fingers crossed for you guys! And I hope Newcastle go down!

{Ed025's Note - so do i mate...cheers..

4.) 25 Feb 2022 06:30:29
We have to thank Wolves for time wasting, which gave us the Fergie time.

1.) 06 Jan 2022 18:19:59
Hi Eds,

Just curious if my last post did not comply with some respectful policy, or if it would just lead to unwanted questions. I had no intention to offend.

Ultimately, just trying to make sure I'm not a nuisance to you.

{Ed014's Note -

Hi Alex,

I’ve read the question you posed which is something that would likely need an expert in employment law and the complexities of contracts to answer for you so just not something we’d want to get into.

You didn’t offend anyone either Alex.

2.) 06 Jan 2022 21:38:52
Thanks for the reply Ed. Very much appreciate all you guys do.

{Ed014's Note - you’re welcome

3.) 07 Jan 2022 14:32:26
Nicely done Ed14. Appreciate your feedback approach :)

08 Dec 2021 16:32:37
Hi Ed,

Reports are coming that the knives may be out for Arteta. Should we expect a managerial change any time soon?

{Ed002's Note - It is tedious you asking the same question every couple of days.}

Hi Ed,

Other than a striker, what are the other priority areas (if not at CM) ?

{Ed002's Note - Potentially another goalkeeper in addition to Matt Turner. Right Back, Defensive Midfield, winger and another striker if EN refuses to agree a new contract.}

Ed002 and I were having a pint the other day and he told me Mbappé is coming. Because he's on a cheap we can get him.

Then I drove home in my brand new Ferrari to my country estate.

Wow what a catastrophe. You'd think there would be interest in France.
Honestly, I feel for Pepe. He seems a professional, and has dealt with this circumstance as well as can be expected. It's not his fault we paid so much for his services.

I love how the lads reacted to the win. There does seem to be, in addition to growing self-belief, an identity as a team that we have lacked for a while.

Laca's misses were worrisome, but all's well that ends well.

Chin up Ed, it will work out in the long run.

{Ed001's Note - it is always best when it is not easy as you appreciate it more, so I don't mind this at all mate.}
