Evening Ed002, are we interested in bringing Stirling to the Emirates?

{Ed002's Note - Raheem Sterling (RW/F) Not going great and Chelsea would be open to offers. Arsenal may offer a wildcard solution.}

Please no! Can't stand the way he plays, even if Arteta knows him well.

I really hope not! Don’t think we actually need to splash major cash on a winger. Jesus can play across the front 3, and we have Trossard and Smith Rowe already competing for the wider roles. So let's go spend that cash on a top striker instead. We are going to need better in that position next season, assuming we will be playing CL football again. Eddie has stepped up and done well this season, but if your playing the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern etc, then I think we will need better.

Sterling is a dangerous player. Direct and his best football and scoring record at city I believe was when Arteta was there which he’s quoted saying he owes a lot to Arteta. He’s not too old with great winning experience. My only concern is, it’s a lot of wage money for a player I wouldn’t want to see ahead of martinelli or Saka. The game time they’re getting goes hand in Hand with how good they’re getting. World class players play week in week out. They’re not part of a rotational system. Nearly every team that wins the league for example pretty much stick w the same 11 every week.

Couldn’t agree with you more. Having a strong squad is important, but you can only play XI at one time, and your best team, is your best team, to be played every week if possible. Young players also seem to improve much better when playing, rather than sitting on the bench.
