Any truth regarding the return in interest of Aouar? Seen today that we are set to put a bid in around €25m mark.

{Ed002's Note - Houssem Aouar (CM) Lyon were frustrated by Arsenal not taking a realistic approach to trying to complete the transfer of the player last summer and with PSG for failing to make a suitable offer. Having lost out on their primary CM choice there remains a chance PSG could look to him again. With the impact of the broadcasting losses, clubs in France are facing a difficult time and Lyon have reduced their €60M asking price this summer to ensure a sale. Juventus interest has drifted as they have a preferred target in mind after failed offers including Federico Bernardeschi and Mattia De Sciglio, who Lyon are keen on but they want to separate the deals. There has been concern about his recent form and this was reflected by Real Madrid showing no interest when approached by his agent approached by his agent. Barcelona were also approached but they will not be in a position to do anything unless Frenkie de Jong is tempted away from the club. Fabio Paratici has taken his interest from Juventus to Spurs. Manchester City, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and others have sent scouts to watch him over the past couple of seasons but none have declared an interest or looked to make an offer for Aouar. Arsenal will be told a take it or leave it price and be expected to pay it - a third party will be used by Arsenal in any direct discussions. Atletico Madrid will offer an option if Saul leaves with De Paul also arriving.}

would aouar even agree to a transfer to arsenal? I thought he would now want to go to a club that plays in the CL.

{Ed002's Note - Juventus was the likely destination but the drop in form made them look elsewhere and they found another target - who they have since lost out on, so they have moved to another target. The player wanted the move to Turin but it looks like it won't be an option. I think the player will want to see what options he has. Right now it is not much.}

I can see why Aouar`s selling fee has dropped as Lyon need the money and his apparent loss of form but the amount potentially £35 mill less seems drastic! Seems the same with Pjanic who was worth £60mill only a year ago. Remains to be seen to see if whoever buys them they are a bargain or other teams were right to swerve them . Are Arsenal looking at Pjanic Ed? Thanks in advance COYG.
