Cmon you lot, there were a good number of you slating the Ramsdale signing before he pulled on the shirt. I said I’d never seen a keeper with such sharp reactions and the ability to use his legs as well as his hands to stop shots, at least give a little “ hands up we were wrong “ you know who you are, we can all use the search function ?.

I certainly didn’t understand the signing, not because of the ability or price tag but because we had a very good keeper in Martinez then sold him so the money could have been spent elsewhere, that was my only gripe . Ramsdale has started brilliantly and his kicking is incredible.

My biggest concern in the window was White as I thought 50 million is and was too much, currently I still don’t see much difference between him and Holding ………early days though and defences are judged on clean sheets .

Hello 337 mate, I was one of the gobsmacked brigade when we bought him. didn't say he was a bad keeper but could not understand the rationale behind buying him, plus he had been relegated twice on the trott didn't exactly enlighten his cv.

He is proving a lot of people wrong me included and also a pat on the back for Arteta/ Edu for sticking their necks out and buying him.

No one knew how Ramsdale and White were going to work out before they played for us, how could they?

It's always better to give any player 6 to 10 games before building them a statue or demanding the managers head for signing them.

But football is an emotional sport and people will always make emotional judgements such as with Elneny Mari and Perez when lots of fans called them fantastic Arsenal signings despite never actually having seen them kick a ball ?????.
it's always easier to remember other people's bad calls than it is our own, which we quickly forget and hope everyone else does too ???????.

My concern was his ability to play out from the back but we seem to have ditched that a bit and he will lace the ball if in doubt. His reputation on playing from the back and Arteta’s desire to play from the back was my issue as made no sense. It was more a question mark over the recruitment than the player. We also kept the wrong keeper and sold a keeper who was vocal, commanded the box and could catch a ball. Leno could have been sold for a decent wedge while we sold Emi for 20m and replaced him with a disaster keeper for 1m. We then spent 30m on a keeper and 50m on a CD - I thought a misuse of money as we needed other players and could have kept Emi.
Rambo doing well
Ben - still question marks as weak in the air as shown at the free kick yesterday when he could not win a header and pushed a player over on the D. Resulting free kick led to save of the season but White’s attempt to win the header was a joke and that’s my concern with him - hopefully we develop that one area and he becomes a star. Nothing to do with price tag but more about having a CD that can do his main job - defending.

What was is past and ain't coming back and can't be rewritten no matter how we feel about it, positive or negative.

Ramsdale and Leno are what is and in reality are all that are really relevant to what will be.

But a discussion worth having nonetheless eh? If we can discuss the past we would only post for the 90 minutes of a football match ?

And by the time it appears on here it would be history lol.

Very true Banbury mate, the present is not always a source of good conversation so we all naturally drift back to the past and towards the future, there is nothing wrong with either, but for me personally I have no nostalgic longing to relive the rights and wrongs of Brexit all over again, it's done and dusted for me.
Now talk climate change or saving the Orangutan and other species from extinction where everything us still to play for and you've got my interest ????.

True 62 but to change the future you need to look at the past to not repeat them and to measure the improvement otherwise we wouldn’t know how high sea levels have risen or it’s the warmest day or what industry has or has not improved. You need to have history to show the effects of doing nothing….

I so agree SY and it was important for those who twigged on first to point out to the rest of us what was happening and where we had been and continue to go wrong.
Unfortunately there is no going back back and not doing what we've already done, for me it's all about accepting where we've gone wrong in the past, which I think 95% of people do now and concentrating on what can be done in the here and now and the future to give us our best chance of looking back in a few years time and saying, few that was close.

Sadly what's lost already is unfortunately lost but it's what can be saved that we've got to consecrate on.
