Yeah but Man City still risk being sanctioned its a risk to go there. Arsenal isn’t penny pinching they need to balance priorities so the deal is heavily structured. It’s a more than reasonable amount for Rice.
But Man City have basically unlimited funds at their disposal and haven’t been held accountable for their alleged indiscretions yet.

Gora- Xhaka plays a completely different role to those other 3. Our most likely Xhaka backups in the left 8 role are Viera and ESR but that’s not their primary position. We definitely need an upgrade in that position.
We also need a Partey successor, it’s not going to be Elneny or Jorginho obviously and I don’t think Sambi is going to work out.

Zaha would still not be that cheap, and you would still be reliant on Nketiah or Martinelli out of position. If Martinelli plays centrally then Smith Rowe comes in. Best of all options is to recall Balogun.

25 a season. No player scored that many goals last season. KDB was Man City’s highest score at 15 and they won the league.
We had Saka and ESR score 10+ goals, we can get more from Martinelli and potentially Odegaard. 15-20 goals would be a great haul from Eddie, and that's if he’s first choice which he probably won’t be.

Bissouma is a very good player, but we have pretty decent stocks in defensive mid and Partey is the clear first choice. We need a Xhaka upgrade to play in that left 8 role, which is why I think the club is prioritising Tielemaans who suits that position better than Bissouma.
