Really interesting discussion lads. I was always curious about this topic.
There was obviously allegations about Peps Barcelona team and G Nev and Keano alluded to something about some of the Italian teams on their podcast a while back.
Wasn't Lance Armstrongs Italian doctor somehow involved in football back a few years ago?
Did you ever do an article on this topic ed? If there is one would you have a link to it?
{Ed001's Note - it is not really possible to write about it, too many legal issues to navigate. It was one of the other doctors involved in cycling at the time, Fuentes, who revealed football involvement. He actually admitted working with Barca, Madrid, Juve and others including the Spanish national team. He actually said, in court under oath, that the Spanish national team would be stripped off all their trophies if they knew what he had done with them. Unfortunately, it was in a Spanish court, where he was being sued by one of the riders he had treated who had nearly died due to his treatments, and the judge ordered all the evidence to be destroyed.}

Stupid question boys, but what exactly is a 'key pass'?
Is it a pass that creates an opportunity, so if the chance is scored then it would be an assist?

WG,
It was a bad call from the linesman. Should never have gotten to that stage. My point was really just regarding the tackle itself. With no offside being called the. The ref had no option but to show the red card.
What was more of a game-changing decision was not to award Walcott a pen in the first half. I thought it was clear enough. Big decisions just didn't go your way on the night.

Ryan, I was a neutral watching the game last night. I thought the sending off was a shame because Arsenal were playing well and putting it up to Bayern.
However, as bad as the referee was last night, do you really think the sending off was harsh? Lewandowski was through on goal, one on one. I reckon the ref had no choice, even though he nearly made a balls of that decision too!
Worst refereeing performance I've seen in a while! But not regarding the pen/ sending off.
Liverpool have had Enrique out for entire season. 2 of our centre backs have missed huge chunks (Sakho and Agger). Glen Johnson missed a few weeks but is back now. Lucas missing more than half the season has been a huge problem for our midfield. Not to mention Suarez being out for first 5 games due to suspension. Injuries happen. Clubs just have to get on with things.
Unlucky last night. Ye played well, but had way too much to do after first leg. Big weekend for the both of us this weekend! 2 wins would be nice. Cut the Top 4 off from everyone else. We can both go gung-ho for the title then!
