"Tell him where the door is" is a bit harsh. If we're not going to play him, why keep him? Why not let him go out and fulfil his ambitions. The really stupid thing is, I think we were offered 15 million for him last summer and rejected it.

The lad wants to play. If the club don't think he's good enough for us, then set him free. We're looking to off-load players anyway, right?

I see nothing wrong with him wanting to go if he's not truly wanted. The club maybe reluctant to let him go just for the numbers because they may not find a replacement especially with him be homegrown.

Willock didn't want to leave permanently but the club wasn't interested in a loan deal.

Must admit the show him the door part was a bit of over reacting from myself! Quite frustrated he took to social media to say that. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

I get we value him and don't want to let him go cheap. But I wonder if we are too realistic with the value we set. Firstly we offer stupid wages which make it harder for those values to be met. And secondly the most frustrating thing is its taking our rebuild even longer. We desperately need a right back however we have bellerin cedric amn and chambers who play right back. Let's be honest all of them are not good enough.
