I believe that arsenal would turn into liverpool without wenger. Not only do I believe we will struggle to replace him but we would be inconsistent in qualifying for the champions league unless the board actually backed our next manager. There is no manager out there who would consistently quality for the champions league after moving into a new stadium and being under the financial constraints he was under. Although I an disappointed that we have not actually challenged for the title this year but hopefully next year we will after proper investment. I feel that is why arsenal fans are not happy, we are not challenging at all and are really a poor 4th place not a creditable 4th place. I just hope wenger is given time and money to give us what we deserve which is a genuine title challenge. In January I hope for a centre back like howedes, a cdm like Morgan Schneiderlin and hopfully a goalkeeper or striker. I can see a big signing being pulled off someone like cavani or pedro joining us. Have faith

Steve I think we already resemble Liverpool mate, the Graham Souness Liverpool.
Going no where at best and downhil our most likely destination.

We are out of the period of our financial restrictions. We have a top squad that Wenger does not know how to utilise. He has left us woefully short in a number of positions this year and is tactically clueless. We play the same way every week and are naive enough to think it will work. We over work players, over train players to the extent they break down 3 months into the season every year. He has no concept of individual player management.

So let's not go on about past achievements. We are a financially stable club now. There is no excuse anymore. Wenger is done as a top rate manager.

The reality is, he will get the time you are talking about because he dictates everything that goes on at our club. He will go when he says he will go and the club will not argue with that.

So enjoy another 2.5 years of this garbage my friend because it isn't changing until he is gone.

Roll on 2017.

Pedro iI wouldn't be over the moon with. Cavani yes. Other managers can do a better job tho.

We mirror Liverpool already

To be honest we have seen a greater degree of tactical variation this season than in any previous season I can remember. Just hasn't worked.

The main 2 problems have been over poor fitness management and the subsequent soft tissue injuries. This is of course linked to the lack of players in critical positions (DCM and CB) made yet worse because it is off the back of a World Cup year.

To be honest if we make those signings in January then think we'll be okay. The fact we have moved to get Poldi off the books suggests to me we will.

Just to clarify, yet again - we are not out of financial restrictions, our wages are breaching FFP and if you want big signings they have big wages.

I agree with the tactics though, they need to change we are getting found out far too often!

I realise we still have FFP to worry about but so does everyone else. The debt from the stadium does not effect the squad anymore so in essence our own personal financial restrictions are over.

{Ed002's Note - It is not that simple of course.}

I understand that Ed. My point is more based around the fact that we don't have to sell our best players every season now like we used too. 'Restrictions' probably wasn't the correct word to describe that.

However, there's no excuse now. We have spent a fair bit of money on the squad in the last two summer windows and we should be performing a lot better with this squad than we are doing. That is down to AW.
