Today was competitive you only had to look at ivanovic and mourinho. They wanted that game. I'm sure I saw John terry trying to swap shirts to get in to our photo!

good game..Chelsea played well..were unlucky as were we.

I think we defended well, we were poor in possession, and ozil had a weak game.

shame mourinho and wenger did not shake hands.

don't know why wenger won't shake his hand but that was in poor taste in my opinion, but perhaps he has his own reasons.

we need a better CB than per, we need cover for coq, as arteta was just a shamble.

and giroud showed again why we need a better striker, missing open and clear cut chances to kill the game.

we are not title contenders in my eyes, I think we need 3 more players to give us that edge.

backup or a superior player to Coq,
need a CB who can play with Kos and who brings more pace.
a striker who will bury clear cut chances, and a clear no1 striker.

theo did nothing to convince me he can play there. his best position is on the wing, and the new contract does not turn him into Thierry henry.

{Ed025's Note - im with you there lakes..

Agree 3 players is needed no way should we be going into a season with giroud as are only striker.if coq gets injured areta just can't perform that job a dmf needs to get allover the pitch to old and slow . probably zero chance of signing a new def a thought paulista was go get the nod to start this season but wenger is clearly waiting for per to have a nightmare and us to get a thumping before giving the guy a genuine chance

I have to disagree with you Laker. I think this squad will challenge but won't win the league this year, chelsea will be too strong unless they get some bad injuries.

However I don't think we need a cb, I tgink Paulista will play a lot more with merts, chambers and even monreal and debuchy as cover. We do need competition for Le Coq as arteta isn't a dm. As for a striker we do need a world class one but if there isn't any available no point wasting money on a stopgap. Sanchez, giroud, Walcott, Ox, and Ramsey are all capable of double figures in my opinion with added goals elsewhere should be enough for at least a challenge.

Been a long time reader but this is my first post.

For me then isn't worth that new contract he's not a winner the ox should be on the right and Theo's just not got enough of a presence to play a loan striker giroud over him all day. May be inconsistent but when he's not scoring hel contribute with build up play and get assists but we do need a world class striker.
Definatly need cover for le coq and also a new centre half but they're is still a month to go I just hope wengers got his magic wand in one hand and he's wallet in the other

Out the players you named none of them can play the lone striker role other than giroud are system is pretty much designed for a big front man to hold up and bring are midfielders into play sp if we lost him I think we would have real problems

I guess calling him a voyeur, specialist in failure, and going on and on about 10 years with no trophy, tapping up cashley Cole, and telling us we r trying to buy success n not chelsea, were all in good taste. And then Jose suddenly turns into Mother Teresa shaking every Arsenal players hand,i'm sure we'll see more comments from moanrinho if we r neck n neck in the league..

Every time Arsenal play Chelsea Mourinho insults Wenger about something. I can't blame him for not shaking his hand.

I personally rate Giroud as our striker. Our current team is built to suit him, a striker that contests well in the air and someone who can hold up the ball whilst our numerous attacking minded midfielders push up to create chances. I think another star striker would be brilliant, but I don't see how likely it'll be as it doesn't look like any are really available.

Coquelin is a beast in midfield, but once again, if he gets injured, we would be in big trouble. Someone who we could comfortably rotate with coquelin would be good.

With Jose continually being the antagonist and berating our manager, our team and our efforts, I can't blame Wenger for not shaking his hand.

Maybe I heard it wrong but I could have sworn when he was being interviewed and got asked about giving his medal away he said something like: "He's and Arsenal fan and it's a loser's medal blah blah"

Given his history, I'll wager he knew what he was saying and it was intended as another dig at us Gunners.

Agree we need to cover the positions mentioned. But I like the little feud between wenger and mourinho. It's pure entertainment

We have plenty of cover as Sanchez can play there easy, he is superman and can fill in as lone striker, dm, cb you name it...lover that cat.

Arsene should be shaking mourinho hand plus patting him on the back and asking for his autograph before during and after every game.
For Arsene Benitez and Pelgrini its personal but for mourinho its work and gaining an edge over a competitor, ever since he returned to Chelsea mourinho has been forging an us against the world mentality and picking fights with refs the league and all else to get the best out of his team.
I don't likelike or agree withb how he does things but its how he works and its not personal àgainst anyone
