Thanks Ed, this was a good read. I agree on Arteta. What he has shown is he can take a team in disarray and, with backing and time, make them contenders again. While that's a great achievement too he still has to show he can take the final step and start winning trophies. Otherwise he will be remembered as a nearly man.
{Ed001's Note - it is the most difficult bit, that is why so many shining lights end up never actually making that step. There have been so many that people thought would be great but they couldn't quite make it. The problem he is, over almost all of those others that failed the step up, is that he has had huge backing, which means you can't just say he has done well with what he has had, like you can with Gasperini, for example.}

If he doesn't win anything he won't have any excuses. That said i do appreciate the work he has done so far. What he has managed to do is unite the whole staff and build a good team. That's better than many others. If he were to leave for any reason the next guy would inherit a pretty decent team. So i would say he's done alright but not enough to get into the top spots.

He's just signed a new contract till 2027 Iceman. I suppose the reality is though that City don't just win the league but other trophies too, they will be very hard to topple. Although Liverpool came close a couple of years ago.

We need more of this ed! Loved this. Would be great if we can start getting the same for positions on the pitch such as best RB’s etc. Just an idea mate, cheers.
{Ed001's Note - I have done them in the past mate and will do again, just that you need to leave it a couple of years between each time or it is pretty much just a repeat of the previous one.}
