Morning all Ed’s and fellow gunners, hope alls well. as some of you may know I’m in Portsmouth very often and attended some home fixtures with my youngest lad and family. win lose or draw it’s often a good afternoon out the banter there is great. some of the Pompey followers are real characters who absolutely love their club… yesterday they were away to Charlton and the game was abandoned in the 12 minute due to a medical emergency in the stands, sadly a Charlton supporter died.

my thoughts and prayers to his family and all at Charlton. it’s times like this when football just doesn’t really matter. live your life, be as kind to others as you possibly can, treat people with the respect you think you deserve to be treated with, look out for one another and take care. life is the most precious of all gifts. ❤️.

Wonderful post Gabi ❤️

We are all currently experiencing a once in a lifetime incredible opportunity which for all any of us know for sure could very possibly be the only opportunity we will ever have, it seems such a shame to waste it dwelling on the things we cannot change or worrying about the things we cannot possibly control.

80 years when you say it quickly without thinking about it too much sounds like a really long time but when we consider life existed for billions of years before we ever got here and will continue for billions of years long after we've gone, 80 short years is an incredibly small window of opportunity for us to enjoy it while we can. As you say mate life truly is very precious gift and we should all be very grateful for and try our best to enjoy every precious moment we get to have 🙏.

I very much doubt anyone ever said in there last moments on this beautiful blue planet " i wish I'd spent more time worrying and stressing over the things I couldn't change " Gabi mate.

In the words of Rod Stewart " live it long and live it fast because it don't last, for you might never get another chance ". Waiting for everything to be perfect before we allow ourselves to enjoy life will almost certainly lead us to waiting for a time that never actually arrives mate ❤️.

Didn't deserve anything from that game, we were that poor. Villa were well worth the 3 points.

You know what mate, I was expecting that result for some reason and I'm not too sure why. Fair play to villa they wanted more then us. But the revenge just at the end of this month hopefully.

Just seen a quote on BBC Football that if we had kept Emery we would have won the Prem by now.
I am going to have a lay down in a darkened room.

Hi Bill mate,
We’ll never know what could have been, I also felt at that time Emery should have got more time. Anyway, we have a good manager and are in good position.
It is critical time for us now and we need to respond strongly, last few games, we have dropped slightly, especially defensively.

The injuries are impacting as well but this is our test now and I hope we stay ahead of the pack. If we drop from the top by Christmas it may be very difficult to win from there.

If Emery had gone from PSG to Saville then Arsenal then possibly that might be true but directly replacing Arsene was the wrong decision for him as a personality at that time.

I think he learned a lot about himself from his mistakes with us and became a better manager because of the lessons he learned about himself.

To be fair most teams would struggle with both their first choice CB’s injured but I don’t think we helped ourselves today.
Firstly the starting 11- surely it was obviously that both Fury and Eze would come central leaving a huge gap down the left.

Secondly- Gyokeres needs to improve quickly. He was brought in to be on the end of those crosses like a minute before the Villa goal.
We go again. COYG!

Absolutely sickening to lose to the very last kick of the game, the way it was panning out I would’ve settled for the point, and move on to the next one. (Gutted) … still on top… one game at a time…COYG/VTH. 🔴⚪️❤️.

Hello Gabi mate, hope you are all well.
It was a hard lost to take mate, but with both our 2our first choice c/bs missing we paid the price. Villa seem to have the bogey on us.
But still top after some really tough games since international break, but we look very tired.
As you say one game at a time.

Would have like to seen Norgaard have a chance in the next couple of games.
Big take away for me was we can't play Ode and Eze together, we look disjointed. No disrespect to Club Bruges or Wolves but we should not have a problem beating them.
Take care Gabi mate.

High bill hope all’s well. agree my friend. saliba and big gabi are a big big miss. eze and ode together makes the team a bit lop sided and seems to effect eze in a fairly negative way. (drifts in and out of the game) making him way less effective… just wanted to say, I know victor is being eased back in from his injury. (and I like him a lot. ) . but once his up to full speed again he seriously needs to start getting a proper feel for this team and start putting the ball in the back of the net…I know they said he baulked up a bit to get ready for the premier league but he looks too big and not so mobile. just wondered what people might think about trying martinelli or saka up top in certain games.

martinelli is a pest of a player with plenty of pace. and recently I read an article where Arteta was asked who the best finisher at the club is… and without any hesitation he replied saka. who as we know has plenty of pace to burn. I know they are both wingers. but defenders hate being attacked with pace…remember Henry turning up as a winger, wenger switched him to striker and as we know the rest is history. so why not try saka or martinelli through the middle they are both very intelligent footballers. mixes it up a bit . only my humble opinion. COYG/VTH 🔴⚪️❤️.

Hi Sal hope life is treating you and your family well, it was just a thought on my behalf. sometimes when we win the ball back we take a few too many passes to get up the pitch. enabling teams to get back in shape. would try noni on right wing, martinelli on left wing and saka up top against wolves. (which has now become our biggest game of the season) .

must, must win. get all three of them inter changing at times through out the game. wolves defence will be a unsure as in who they should be picking up. but what ever. we really need to inject pace, be fast and direct in our attack when we are in transition, and not give opposition teams the time to get back and set…COYG/VTH ✌🏻& 🫶🏻.

Victor needs to stay on his feet and not go down like a sack of spuds he is looking like a championship striker!

Arteta obviously doesn't fancy Martinelli down the middle as he preferred Merino last season and this season too when for me this was the ideal time to give Martinelli his chance in that position.

Oh well it would have been nice to go the rest of the season unbeaten but that was always unlikely to happen in real life.

Onwards and upwards its the only way. Up the Arsenal 👍👍👍👍.

Hi Bill mate hope you and yours are well.

When George Grahams Arsenal were beaten by Chelsea bringing a long undefeated run to an end a reporter asked George ' what now" George replied quite simply "we go on another undefeated run ".

What's gone is gone and all the analysing in the world won't change the past ultimately its what you do next that matters most mate.

Up The Arsenal 👍👍👍👍.
