The problem isn't Guendouzi the footballer but Guendouzi the man..or to be more accurate Guendouzi the boy. However, don't give up on him, he's young and may learn, in which case he could be a very good player for Arsenal. Time will tell!

One man's 32 is another man's 27! He trains harder than most so unless he picks up an injury - which can happen to anyone! - this will prove a good deal for Arsenal. We need that ethic in our team, others can learn from him. He's also very good! I can think of many far worse deals we have done in recent years!

While I feel sorry for the 55 people, as I understand it our staffing was somewhat bloated so maybe this is sensible. Willian may well prove to be a master stroke. Yes his salary is high but not transfer fee and you have a proven winner in the Premiership. And keeping Auba was a necessity. I am not (and have never really been) a fan of Coutinho so I hope that doesn't happen. Also in all cases I don't want your emerging young players to be kept out. But for years now we have been told we have the best group of youngsters in the land but very few pan out so trying to get the right balance is imperative. For my money, I like where we are going and I believe Arteta is the perfect manager for Arsenal.

I would worry that Coutinho would be a similar situation to the Ozil standoff. Great player but wouldn't really fit in with Arsenal. Plus we have some impressive youngsters coming through and ready and he would take one of their places when he plays.

Ed, you constantly say how badly the club's business is carried out - can't argue with you there based on what's happened! However, do you not see an improvement with the younger Kroenke and the new management team in place? It seems that when coupled with Arteta as manager we can have a serious expectation of improvement?
{Ed002's Note - No, there are a mass of other individuals in the mix as well.}

Don't disagree with much of what is written but I do see a better approach to our playing style, but we do need start winning of course. Three Points as opposed to one! However, only Liverpool have lost more games than we have!
