Having followed Arsenal all my darn life I get that feeling. You know, and it ain't. because I'm dancing on the ceiling . we have done our business.
1.Arsene ( Kolasinac ) loves a freebee,

2.50mill ( Lacazette) + without any CL money, economist at heart.

Might be wrong, I feel these two are his bankers, and maybe another. but I just think, he is keeping Sanchez Ozil ( the mercenaries ) . sees the team as not being too bad and close to being competitive for the Europa league.

Might be wrong, just get the feeling. again

What's the chances of Lamar?

1.) 27 Jul 2017 13:58:42
Why do people try to calculste how much is or has been spent? You say a freebie etc, but in reality no one but AW and the board knows.

Take into calculation things like sign on fees, contract addons to the other club after so many games and international appearances. Do you really think he has spent that little? I doubt we have half the funds being touted around, but people will soon be counting how much we have to spend and what's left over from previouse budgets.

Im pretty sure AW will spend what he has to the last penny if he could at his pound saver value.

2.) 27 Jul 2017 15:41:16
Well, Gavsta, relatively speaking, yes i'm sure there are many extras etc, only the club knows what the cost will be long term, my point was more, we've likely got our new players, that's all.

3.) 27 Jul 2017 19:58:56
I get what your saying WN, I really do. It just gets a little to football management like wheb people start stating amounts spent etc.

I think the market is still open to us for another player also, but i doubt it will be until we see the bargain bucket later in the window.

Hi first time post,
Hi Eds, so, are we really interested in Barkley?
Or is it the good ol media rumour mill weaving its particular mathematical magic, e. g.
Barkley is a midfielder x. Arsene loves a midfielder = we must be in for him.

WengersNose

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any approach by Arsenal.}

1.) 25 Jul 2017 16:21:57
Silly newspaper hype then, many thanks, I think he is good ( at times ) but who does he replace to make us better.

2.) 25 Jul 2017 16:27:47
Thank God for that.

Ox done deal according to sources, I fear for Arsenal I really do, big clubs can fade into obscurity Leads etc, Arsenal are way way off the pace. it's a flipping nightmare.

Forest and Villa both won European cups not so long ago and now are championship clubs struggling to even get baxk into premier league itself.

2.) 28 Aug 2017 18:19:18
Ox leaving is the best outcome for all, he was never going to be considered a regular Cmf player by Arsene despite those who currently occupy those positions being pretty poor, so Ox was never going to happy at Arsenal.
He may be no happier at Chelsea but that's not our concerns now. I wish the lad all the best personally I always liked him.

3.) 28 Aug 2017 18:29:28
I don't suggest for one moment that our problems are severe, they could easily be cured with the installation of a new manager, as we have some excellent players.
Cech
Bellerin Mustafi Koscielny Kolasinac
Welbeck Xhaka Coqulein Sanchez
Giroud and Lacazette
subs: Ospina, Holding, Ozil, Ramsey, Walcott, Elneny and Iwobi
And: Mertesacker, Chambers (I would sell him) , Wilshere, Cazorla (when fit) , Nelson, Monreal and Perez (I would keep him) .

This is a team that with Rafa Benitez at the helm could give anyone a match. Break the bank to sign Van Dijk and N'zonzi and we can compete.

4.) 28 Aug 2017 18:43:19
He will haunt us 62.
Watch him flourish now under a manager who will get the best from his strengths and improve his weaknesses.
Wenger is a fantasy football manager. one who selects 'random select' each week.

5.) 28 Aug 2017 18:46:34
So you are suggesting they are severe then RG because we have our new manager and he ain't moving now.

6.) 28 Aug 2017 20:19:14
Why would Van Dijk want to join us?

Hi
is this report of Arsenal being in for Arsenio accurate, I mean, it has a certain symmetry Arsenal, Arsene, Arsenio. Or is it trashy media boohicky
Cheers.

Another pipe dream.

Been reading a few posts, it' seems like the ground swell is building again. You have to get behind your team, Wenger doesn't buy mentally strong charecters, he buys creatively strong characters who seem to suffer with mental weakness, Sanchez and Siad being the exception, the team needs the fans support. But, I totally understand the unrest, I think it's a total mess behind the scenes Wenger now says it's on the boards shoulders who goes and who stays. more indecision more deliberating more time wasted, I do get the feeling the Arsenal empires days are numbered somewhat though up the gunners.

It's 2 years before Arsene's future is up for debate so until then its a case of putting up with things as they are and enjoying the best bits and accepting things as they are.

2.) 26 Aug 2017 12:09:08
Hi fellow gooners, not posted for a while but been following the wisdom and banter. I know he doesn't break contracts, but, did you see him against Stoke? I don't think he will see this contract out.
To me he looked a tad confused and lost, his selections have been strange and players willing to see out their contracts but refusing to re sign. Something is fundemently wrong behind the scenes. What was it that upset the team in January and is it still there?
Maybe there will be a health problem or something along those lines, but an honourable way of saying goodbye may be found. Either way there is a problem somewhere.

3.) 26 Aug 2017 13:17:35
Hi Saga mate good to hear from you, I certainly don't wish Arsene or anyone any I'll health mate even though I'm sure you meant it as cover story.
But he won't quit no mater what and he wouldn't go along with any story to cover up being replaced either.
Either the board will do the unimaginable or he will see out this contract, personally I accept his having 2 more years as being virtually set in stone mate.

4.) 26 Aug 2017 13:48:51
Remember this post boys, we will win absolutely nothing this year and miss top 4 again, the fans will be up in arms but be resigned to one more season of Wenger and his diabolical transfers a day crazy tactics, we'll scrape an FA Cup at the end of that season and so he'll sign another 2 year contract.

5.) 26 Aug 2017 14:44:59
I certainly wouldn't rule out another contact after this one that's for sure, I never dreamed people would be happy for Arsene to get this contract after so many seasons of stagnation so I certainly wouldn't count on it being Arsenes last one as our manager.

6.) 26 Aug 2017 17:10:43
Yeah badly phrased that gunner62 I think a 'reason' will be found, maybe from Arsene himself. To me he doesn't sound confident, or right, whatever that is. In 60yrs a gooner I've seen it all. This just smacks of a managers last season.

Just seen a IG post, which I thought was the official Alex Ox site, stating an announcement coming tomorrow, media hype? Eds.

2.) 09 Aug 2017 18:31:57
That's a fishy rat steve.

3.) 09 Aug 2017 18:39:36
It is a bit odd. Especially saying he will miss the 3 games before the window closes. Just wish they'd hurry up.
