Just wanted to say good game to you lot. I think it was a fair result. You remind me of us a couple years back (actually probably farther ahead) in that we would outplay the other team for large portions of the game but just got a bit top heavy and let the opponent have too many chances. Was the first time in a few years I didn't necessarily expect us to win as well.

Emery seems to have you all moving forward quickly. I think this is our year but both of us will possibly have to remain patient at times this season. Good luck the rest of the season (except at Anfield) and enjoy the football!

Thanks Tj I also think this was fair result.

2.) 03 Nov 2018 19:50:32
Cheers TJ mate and the same to you Geeza best of luck for the rest of the season, in the event of us not shocking the entire universe let alone the world by finishing above City, if anyone else can i hope it's you boys
Jurgen has done a brilliant job with you boys and while we are in the very early stages under Dick I do agree that after 11 games Dick has managed to do even better than Jurgen at this stage.
If not next season then the one after that we have every reason to think we can challenge once again at hhe very top of the premier league.

3.) 03 Nov 2018 19:56:17
Well done Klopp - could have wined and moaned about the disallowed goal but concentrates on what he can control:

Sadio Mane's disallowed goal: "There is only one person who can answer the question and that's the linesman. That's football. If he thought the first situation was offside then I think he was wrong.

"But it's not going to change and we made more mistakes than the referee. It would have been cool if this goal could count. "

Nice to see that. Well played Pool also.

4.) 03 Nov 2018 20:12:03
Swings and roundabouts SY mate, all officials make mistakes and sometimes they go for you and sometimes against you but over a season there isn't usually that much in it either way.
Good on Jurgen for not making a thing of it like you say mate.

5.) 03 Nov 2018 22:34:44
Liverpool fan, Emery has got you playing great football with a bit of spirit. A few years ago we would of won that 4-1 as your heads would of dropped. A few reinforcements in defence and you will be a real force. DRaw was fair but think we may regret it as city won’t drop many points. Think you have a real shot at top four and think you will win the Europa too.
As for the officials you win some and lose some, think he was awful for both sides all game tbh.

6.) 04 Nov 2018 08:10:01
Cheers WY mate, I think it would have very tough on either side to lose.

Lads I'm going to try to keep this one toned down as it's christmas time and we should all be jolly.

That being said, the first half against you guys may have been the worst team we've faced all season. I'm seeing praise on here for Jack Wilshere and you all must have been watching a completely different game than me. He worked hard and improved in the second half but surely you all must demand better at Arsenal. It's easy to improve when you were that BAD to begin with. Since when is "working hard" good enough to be in the team. We should expect ALL of the players to do that. Our midfield is a decent midfield but they ran you lot over, especially the first half. The only player worth the shirt, and I can't believe I'm saying this, was Ozil. It is a miracle and a testament to our own shortcomings that you all got a point. (And in some regards we barely did. I'm still trying to figure that one out) . Karius and Ward HAVE to be better than Mignolet. If not at least they have youth for an excuse.

I'm sure this has been said but Wenger is a joker. This is all from the outside looking in but his post game comments about entertainment just proves he's lost it. The neutrals want goals. Who gives a about the neutrals? The fans, both yours and ours, want to see competent defending, and good football.

I guess when it comes down to it. Both of our clubs have to be the most frustrating teams on the planet to watch. Difference is I think we are a backline and a keeper from challenging for everything. There seems to be a lot more uncertainty around you guys, and it's a shame. I could be wrong and you all may finish strong. I still would much rather be in our position than you lots, and for the past 6-8 years that wasn't really the case.

1.) 23 Dec 2017 17:05:22
I will say the same to you as i say to all the deluded spurs fans. Come back with your opinion on your team when you actually win a trophy and go through with something. Keeping your front four will be a problem. So back to square one.

2.) 23 Dec 2017 17:11:08
TJ,
You talk like you are a lot better than us.

We both have a dodgy keeper, a very dodgy back 4, no real defensive cover, your midfield and attack are definitely better than ours (collectively) , but you are only slightly in front of us, and have about as much chance of winning the league as we do (Zero) .

In fact, with a quartet of Coutinho, Mane, Salah and Firmino, you should be pushing City more, and you should have a lot more points in the bag than us.

I think Liverpool, this season, are more underachieving than Arsenal.

3.) 23 Dec 2017 18:32:06
I agree with that Dags. I don’t mean to sound pleased with my team. I’m far from it. I’m a Klopp fan but he hasn't done enough with the resources available. If anything our clubs are too similar. But I fail to see reasons to be optimistic if Jack is your future.

To Steve. I’m not trying to be disrespectful. Even when we were challenging with Suarez and co, I still feared playing arsenal. Now I look forward to it. And I know clubs feel the same about liverpool. Both our clubs have done too much pampering of these whiny wantaway superstars.

We have been poor at times this season. But never so poor, especially at Anfield, that we booed our boys off. Something is wrong at your club. I don’t know what it is but I hope for your sake it turns around. You’re going to find it hard to attract top names just like we have at this rate.

4.) 23 Dec 2017 18:04:28
A bit harsh on Cech, Daggers.

5.) 23 Dec 2017 18:46:18
I don't think either side would have troubled Leicester 2015/ 16 Dags let alone City 2017/ 18.
Both sides look like colanders Liverpool just look more shiny and new where we look tired and dulled after so many rinsings.

6.) 23 Dec 2017 19:06:45
Tj, you say you are in a better positions than us. I fail to see what that means. Your club isn't as big as it was, you are as far away from winning the league as us. We are more likely to be able to attract bigger names than you ( financially ) and you have really only 4 really good players in your present squad. Granted, your mamager is young and current but he has his hands tied as far as getting in players good enough to take you forward. To do that you will have to sell one or two of your top players, which defeats the object really.

7.) 23 Dec 2017 19:10:40
Tj we are actually only a good manager away from improving. You are a keeper, a defence and a wad of money.

8.) 23 Dec 2017 19:30:28
Steve you can’t be serious. Just a manager and you think you’re on the up?

9.) 23 Dec 2017 19:33:00
Don't undestand that last post Steve?
Surely your not saying our players are good enough and it's only Arsene that isn't?
Liverpool have far more likely to find a keeper and 4 defenders than we are to
1 part company with Arsene
2 find the right replacement
3 find the right players
4 pay what it takes to get them to join us.

Niether side looks even close to being good enough to me but Liverpool look to have less hurdles in their way even if the hurdles they do have look huge.

10.) 23 Dec 2017 20:10:19
Irish,
Cech was quality at Chelsea.
Not so at Arsenal mate.

Too many times, when the other team score, I think "You should have saved that".

11.) 23 Dec 2017 20:17:25
Gunner, it is quite obvious even with these players, a manager with a bit of ability would improve us no end. Its not a secret we are under coached tactically. i'm not saying we would be title winners but we would even with this squad be better. The poster said liverpool were in a better state than us, my point is, that is utter rubbish. Their manager is getting as much as he can out of it, ours is most definitely not.

12.) 23 Dec 2017 20:50:27
But Dags, he's worth 15 points a season. Lol where would we be without those 15 points he's earning us.
I don't think hes"The" problem, i think the set up and the lack of midfield protection just leaves us exposed. Our center backs get exposed and our left and right backs are positionally naive in their play.

13.) 23 Dec 2017 20:53:06
If won the world lottery of £10 billion Steve and wanted to buy a club that could possibly win next seasons title and the chioce was between Liverpool and Arsenal, I'd chose Liverpool everytiime simply because they have the manager and the attacking force already in place, it would take some doing but although but not impossible to do in one summer.
At Arsenal the job would only begin at thanking Arsene for his brilliant service and part with him on the best terms possible, then trying to get the very best replacement possible, then getting the players the new manager doesn't want new clubs while trying to bring in the players he does want and then hoping he could make them all gel in a world cup summer ready for next season? Impossible.
Neither club looks anywhere near close but Liverpool are potentially closer at this time.

14.) 23 Dec 2017 21:16:08
Gunner i'm afraid i can't agree that liverpool are in a better place to progress than us, potentially. They don't have our revenue, they don't have the stadium ( yet that they have to fund to build ) they are as poor at the back as us. They don't pay the wages for top improvers. They will struggle to keep their best players in the summer. They are at least 10 years behind us in a football club. The fact we are not utilising our tpols that are in place is a massive problem. The fact liverpool haven't got them tools in place to go forward is even more massive. You would waste your 10 billion on liverpool. They are just an annoyance as far as title challengers are concerned. They are miles away. Like i say when they win a trophy then that could spark a resurgence. Even we are still winning trophies all be it cup comps, they arent.

15.) 23 Dec 2017 21:19:32
I think we are talking far too much about liverpools hypethetical title ambitions on here anyway. Lol.

16.) 23 Dec 2017 22:17:23
Steve 😁😁.

17.) 23 Dec 2017 23:45:16
I'm going to guess when I read this conversation back in the morning, when I'm sober, it's going to sound even worse then it sounds now, when I'm not.

18.) 24 Dec 2017 13:47:43
I agree steve, if we had a manager that was regularly getting performances out of this team like against Spurs, Chelsea and other times when they’ve shown themselves more than capable then we would be far better off than Liverpool for whom Klopp is maxing out what he us.

We are literally shackled with ineptitude in both tactics and motivation.

01 May 2017 13:58:07
It looks like the top 4 race between us (Liverpool) , you guys, and the Manchester clubs is sadly going to be more about who is the least bad, instead of who is the best. It's been a strange year lads. May the least bad team win!

That being said, I didn't realize your defence has been just as bad as ours. Quite shocking as I didn't think it possible.
Gonna be an interesting end to the season, and even more interesting summer! Good luck guys.

Forget Arsenal mate. Liverpool can still do it as even though they may not have the total squad talent they fight tooth and nail for Klopp and believe in what he is trying to do. Liverpool are on the up with passion and direction under Klopp under Wenger we are complacent and in slow decline.

2.) 01 May 2017 15:23:23
Thats an interesting point mate, as some Pool fans would disagree with that. I don't know how, but some are criticizing Klopp. You can tell the players love the guy. He's not perfect, but I don't think there is much better out there. I'm sure you lot would be tickled to have him.

3.) 01 May 2017 15:40:23
Klopps first full season Mourinho first season at Utd Arsenes 20th at Arsenal, if Klopp doesn't achieve top 4 this season you've still made progress and heading in the right direction if Mourinho doesn't make top 4 Utd are still having their best season since Fergie left and heading in the right direction but if Arsene leads Arsenal to a 4th successive seasons of getting even less points than we achieved the season before making us consistently less and less competitive I'm not sure where Arsenal are heading and unfortunately niether does it seem is anyone at the club.

4.) 01 May 2017 19:03:45
My head says liverpool and city get in. Jesus back puts them in it imo and lallana back for liverpool is a boost. Manu and arsenal still to place each other its a must win for both. Draw and both are out imo.

5.) 02 May 2017 00:22:22
Man u ain't going for top by the league they wsnt champions league spot by winning europa league.

Hey fellas. I wanted to wait a bit after last weekends game because I'm really not here to gloat. I just wanted some opinions from you guys. And I'm incredibly bored so if you wanna shun me back to the Liverpool page, it's all good.

All things considered I'm very pleased we won this weekend. it's been terribly hard to win at the Emirates for us over the years. Just thinking back to the game I have some real moments of confusion on the part of your manager.

The biggest two issues for me: you spent a boat load on xhaka. Why did your manager wait till you were down to bring him on? If this guys so good (admittedly haven't seen him hardly kick a ball) , why wasn't he on the pitch? Match fitness?

The other thing, that I still don't understand. santi cazorla seems to have a blinder versus us every single game. Why was he not starting ahead of Ramsey? I know some of you are big Ramsey fans but cazorla has always been better in my eyes. And it should be noted, when he came on, we looked shaky and almost threw the game. And Ramsey hasn't been the same player since he had that breakout season a couple years ago.

After that match it looks like it could be a long season for us both. Don't know what to expect. Good luck to you lads. Sorry for the long post.

{Ed007's Note - What a thoroughly decent bloody nice chap.}

1.) 18 Aug 2016 05:46:24
From what I see you need a new lb but coutinho is a brilliant player and for me your team should be built round him I think Liverpool will have a good season and could finish top 4 mate it will be an exciting season for most teams but think our team need improvements if we want to be challenging for the title. But well played Liverpool.

2.) 18 Aug 2016 07:04:28
Tj great post and trust me most of our fans are asking the same question. not starting Xhaka. i can deal with that but to start Ramsey ahead of Santi? there is no excuse for that. as you've. mentioned Ramsey gave us one amazing season but last season he was so poor. slowing down the game, backpassing. i know this sounds a. bit harsh but i am glad that he will be now out so Santi will start.

3.) 18 Aug 2016 10:23:25
Morning TJ, you old tart :-)

Mate, it's just another mystery that makes supporting Arsenal so much fun :-)

31 Jul 2016 14:57:30
Hello lads. Just stopping by for some friendly banter.

How are you guys feeling about the opening match between our two beloved teams? I can't say I've ever felt too optimistic about going to the Emirates, but for once I feel we have a real chance of leaving with 3 points, given the circumstances. I think we have really strengthened, bar LB. but the one thing that could beat us is mignolet (karius injury makes me cry) . Arsenal are usually pretty slow starters, and I'm sure Klopp will have the lads pressing from the off. It's going to be a great game regardless! Can't wait for the transfer madness to be over and back to the football.

. also can't wait for us to see how bang average guardiola is, as well as seeing United self implode. It's anyone's season this year! Good luck!

1.) 31 Jul 2016 16:56:30
You do have a very real chance of starting with an away win, of course it depends if TFI has a change in personality and brings in a couple of very good players

As we stand today I know where my money is.

2.) 31 Jul 2016 17:05:06
Afternoon Tj,
Sadio Mane apart, I don't think Liverpool have bought that well (plenty of time left, I know) .

Joel Matip is decent to be fair.

2-0 Arsenal :-)

3.) 31 Jul 2016 17:23:06
Haha I admire your bias Dags. I can't go against my reds easily. We've strengthened very well. Keeper, center back, midfield, winger.

4.) 31 Jul 2016 19:22:19
Sunday is drinking day for Dags, please excuse him.

5.) 31 Jul 2016 19:24:38
Tj i see us challenging for fourth with the spuds and west ham. You guys challenging for euefa cup spot with southampton and everton. Not sure about leicester, they will miss kante. Do you see that. In my view klopp should have come here not to you but obviously you will say he did the right thing.

6.) 01 Aug 2016 02:16:14
Haha of course he did Steve. I think we are a better fit. And it is going to be hard to go to arsenal when wenger will manage beyond the grave. We are going to surprise some people this year. Believe it.

Not here to ruffle feathers, but I’m not sure you do have good enough players. There’s some potential in some of your youth, but any team that has Xhaka as a “captain” like influence needs to be dismantled. Your keeper likes to make simple saves look spectacular but he’s the media darling right now. PEA looks like he’s finished. And Lacazette looks like he’s still trying to get started. I think it’s always dangerous taking an assistant from a team with unlimited resources and assuming he knows how to work without them.

Reminds me of us when we had Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing and Glen Johnson. Inconsistent all around. Just when you thought they had turned a new leaf, right back to square one.

I don’t envy your team…it took a once in a generation manager to turn us around. I don’t think Arteta will ever be called that.

Agreed Dags. Seems to be a decent deal for both sides with the way things have gone. Though I think its leaning towards a better deal for us at this rate!

On a side note: I'm not even an Arsenal fan and I want this Sanchez saga to end. IT JUST WONT GO AWAY. Keep checking this site for updates on it haha.
