Well Ornstein has said deal for Luiz off. Let’s hope your wrong about the man G62.

1.) 08 Aug 2019 20:02:49
Oh no! Gutted mate, the position we needed most is the only one we don't fill?
I DON'T BELIEVE IT, I SIMPLY DON'T BELIEVE IT!

{Ed047's Note - he’s just signed mate, chill

2.) 08 Aug 2019 20:09:24
Cheers Eddy047ie ;-) I'm happy happy happy :-)
Who is Calum Chambers anyway, I've got a whole new man crush now :-)
BY the way
You little liar Sano, your just a big fat nastycake for trying to spoil my whole window like that, meanie.

3.) 08 Aug 2019 20:15:23
Haha lol. Why does getting Luiz feel so good 🤔😅.

{Ed047's Note - champions league winner, premier league winner, FA Cup winner

4.) 08 Aug 2019 20:23:51
Great experience to.

5.) 08 Aug 2019 20:30:43
It's a brilliant signing, completely out of nowhere in typical Arsenal fashion.
Still think your a big fat meanie Sano :- (
:-)

6.) 08 Aug 2019 21:13:50
strange one from our (chelsea) point of view. He played in the pre seasons and made a few mistakes (which he has and will always do) . Then this week was told he was 4th choice, even though Rudiger is way off being fit. Always been one of our faves and u won't ever see a better passer of a ball from deep position, long range passing is exceptional. Good luck to him and hope it works out for u, which I am sure it will.

7.) 08 Aug 2019 21:39:05
Exactly Ed, but it still feels strange. I know g62 but if the fat in meanie means that fat is horrible and underhand is usually agree but I’m extremely slender I’d like to say trim but I’m not that self infatuated lol.

{Ed047's Note - seeing him in the Arsenal kit is very strange too mate and I have a feeling g62 used stats in his determination that you were a fattie and both horrible and underhand. 🤔

8.) 08 Aug 2019 22:37:11
My sauces tell me there is a slander to huge range in probability of your humongous meanness reflecting your total mass Sano mate, hope that's cleared things up :-) .

Hi Sid I'm shocked frank let him go but happy he did :-)
He might just be the difference between who gets 4th between us.
His passing reminds me of Frank the beef and he's really comfortable in the ball plus is better defensively than given credit for in my opinion.
I think of all our signings this window he will be seen as the best next May.

9.) 08 Aug 2019 22:39:55
If he was only to experience my underhand I mean underfathand technique then he would use fat in a much more beautiful way.

10.) 09 Aug 2019 00:49:01
Thanks aid I like Luiz hope he does well for us.

11.) 09 Aug 2019 03:40:07
Mirror mirror on the wall, who's statistically the fattest of them all?

12.) 09 Aug 2019 13:35:41
That would be me Eden :- (.

07 Aug 2019 14:41:02
Browgun, growbun, sanogolovesbentner here! Lost my account couldn’t remember which email blah blah blah but just like Arsenal why not have a reinvention lol. Been watching and enjoying the past few months. Great stuff Ed’s, love the big red button Ed 01. I would love to press that daily. But I know there one question everybody wants to know and that’s who the f**k is ed02! :) . Well thanks to g62 and sharpie because it took me a while to realise that ARG is the RG so if he’s here I’m back loool. Where’s the stoner at.

Pepewhorya

{Ed047's Note - welcome back pepe

1.) 07 Aug 2019 19:21:11
Hello BG, GB, SLB, and Pepe! Was wondering where you'd buggered off to. Thought maybe you were on hols. How you doing mate?

Stoner's kicking about. Saw him post a few days ago on the banter page.

2.) 07 Aug 2019 19:31:27
Welcome home mate ;-)

3.) 07 Aug 2019 21:38:11
Yeah nice one guys.! Arsenal for the treble it is then 😂.

4.) 08 Aug 2019 08:19:57
Top 4 and Europa league are looking possible depending on today of course, 2 defenders in and it's the best squad for years so beyond Liverpool and City anything is possible.

We all know that the ballon D’or is utter bs most of the time but Mahrez in the top ten 🤔.

1.) 02 Dec 2019 19:33:40
It's a joke, I bet Xhaka isn't even in the top 3, ridiculous:-)

2.) 02 Dec 2019 21:54:11
He did finish tenth to be fair.

06 Oct 2019 18:13:56
Has to be a good sign? One point behind city and third! Considering that we haven’t looked great. Only can get better surely?!?

Pepewhorya

1.) 06 Oct 2019 18:55:38
This time last season Liverpool weren't playing as well as they finished the previous season but we're winning after week somehow.
Obviously I'm not comparing us to Liverpool only that getting results even when you are not playing well is a good habit to get into.
Obviously at some point the performances have to improve if the days you get away with it are to worth anything after 38 games.
Work on your weaknesses twice as hard as your strengths and you will very quickly have fewer and fewer weaknesses to worry about but kid yourself your weaknesses aren't a big deal and they will take a huge chunk out of something you'd rather not see publicly bitten.

{Ed047's Note - I don’t know if Emery has what he thinks is his best 11 in this squad, I’d imagine he hasn’t yet been able to field it so it will be interesting to see how well we fair when that happens.

Agree with the OP too.

2.) 06 Oct 2019 19:00:54
I’m not sure Emery still knows his best 11 after all these months, he is the new tinker man.

{Ed047's Note - It was a thought more in hope mate.

3.) 06 Oct 2019 19:13:48
Lol

I have to say our squad is starting to look v good just need to put the right players in places.

4.) 06 Oct 2019 19:50:15
That's very true Banbury the squad does look the strongest it's looked for years and injury has presents players with opportunities they wouldn't otherwise have been given at top level in the premier league which most have taken very impressively.
The ingredients all seem to be there for the using the best of those ingredients to produce a Show Stopper rather than a Soggy Bottom :-)

5.) 06 Oct 2019 20:11:57
Can’t believe no Tierney to be fair. The lads head and shoulders better than what we have. Next home game for sure he has to start.

6.) 06 Oct 2019 19:12:25
Totally agree Ed047 mate
My guess is Emerys preferred 11 are

Leno
Belerin Papa Luis Tierney
Guendouzi Xhaka Cellabos
Pepe Lacca Auba

Obviously I've no idea if that's correct just my guess, but if so he never has had it available to him but equally he has to accept he may never have his preferred 11 available on a regular basis, injury suspensions will almost certainly happen which is when it becomes a squad game.
One of my favourite things about Klopp is he refuses to let injury be an excuse for a drop in standards, I remember Courtihio getting injured not long after Klopp joined them and Klopps reaction when asked about the impact the injury would have on his team he replied " none "
I like that attitude:-)

{Ed047's Note - I’m not far off that, I’d like to see Holding in at CB and maybe see Torreira in there too, but don’t think Xhaka missing out is an option.

7.) 06 Oct 2019 21:18:46
Agree Ed for me Holding surely has to regain his place and Torreira also .

But we look to have a very good bunch of lads.

{Ed047's Note - totally agree on the latter and I always endeavour to find something positive in Xhaka over and above what I’ve seen from Torriera and for the life of me don’t know what it is.

Torreira even has more of a goal threat to me even though that’s not what I look for in him.

8.) 06 Oct 2019 21:52:09
I'm not sure about Holding myself mate, he did well under Arsene in a back 5 at the end of 16/ 17 and did well under Emery in a back 5 in 18/ 19 but has struggled as much as anyone in flat back 4, he's only played 36 games in 3 years partly because of injury but partly because in a 4 he struggles,
A bit like Kol thrives in a five but is poor in a four and on this I will say no more :-)

9.) 06 Oct 2019 23:15:10
62 - would love to see:

Leno

Chambers Papa Holding ( Mavropanos as back up )

Bellerin Torriera Luiz Tierney ( Matteo and Kola as back up plus some youth team )

Özil ( Ceballos as back up if a Özil doesn’t show right attitude )

Lacca Auba ( Pepe, Saka, Martinelli etc as back up )

Think this plays to our strengths and addresses our weaknesses.

10.) 07 Oct 2019 08:47:03
I've always been a fan of 3 at the back especially if you have a someone who is a genuine sweeper SY mate and in Luis we have that player and if you also have to very good attacking fullbacks the system works extremely well giving you 5 at the back when defending and 5 in midfield when attacking.
The thing is with any system you've got to play it regularly so everyone in the squad knows and understands their role within that system. Of course having a plan B is essential but you can't have a plan B without a plan A and Emery likes to Tinker on a game to game basis so it's impossible for us to have a system at all, of course I understand why he likes to be unpredictable but in my opinion he's Overthinking things and trying to be to smart for our own good. This is something he did at PSG too.
Leno
Papa Luis Chambers
Belerin Guendouzi Cellabos Tierney
Ozil
Auba Lacca
Then even picking the bench becomes difficult because we really do have an abundance of good talent in the squad but that's a very good thing.
We have the ingredients and in a 3 4 3 system we have not only the players to suit but also the players to come in as cover for injury suspensions loss of form to suit also.
But at the moment it does look like both tinkering and Xhaka or non negotiable for Emery.

11.) 07 Oct 2019 18:53:30
I’d sooner play Luiz instead of Xhaka, just a better all round player and at least his daft petty fouls will be further up the pitch and not penalties.

12.) 07 Oct 2019 20:24:31
62, I think we are not strong enough with that spine you’ve gone for. Ceballos and Ozil with no beast will get bossed too much.

If you had to keep a Luiz in back 3 which I would rather he was a mile away from the back 3 -

Leno
Papa Luis Holding
Belerin Guendouzi Chambers Tierney
Ozil
Auba Lacca

I also think Papa and Luiz is a partnership with var-disaster and mistakes written all over it.

01 Sep 2019 21:33:28
A bit like last week a disappointing result but not exactly a bad performance, you could say it was two extremely poor errors of judgment in an otherwise one sided game give 10 mins here and there. Xhaka our Ceballos In is an obvious change. And when defensive reinforcements come back we should get better. A tough few games before we have gelled and have everyone back.

Pepewhorya

1.) 01 Sep 2019 22:05:53
I actually thought Spurs should have been home and dry well before half time, great start but once Spurs got the first goal i thought they were going to score every time they came at us, obviously our goal just before half time changed everything back again.

30 Aug 2019 11:22:07
Really looking forward to tomorrow’s game. Last years result in the same fixture was great and unexpected, but before the game didn’t feel as confident as I do before this one.

1.) 30 Aug 2019 13:00:33
it’s on Sunday pal.

2.) 30 Aug 2019 17:40:51
Going into the International break, a must win match, which would keep us in 3rd place and open a 5 point gap on toot, placing huge pressure on them and their trophyless manager.

3.) 30 Aug 2019 19:11:52
Is it mate, sound saves the trip too the shop getting the beers in only too turn the telly on and realise it’s sunday! Just saved my heart been broken there pal.

4.) 30 Aug 2019 19:25:18
Funny enough I remember you saying similar things about another premier league manager who'd Just lost a champions league final this time last year RG :-) you don't seem to mention him much now days:-)

22 Aug 2019 20:40:00
Been working away so just got to watch the Burnley game. Dani Ceballos looks crazy good.

Pepewhorya

1.) 22 Aug 2019 22:00:13
He did and hopefully he will get better and better during his season with us, we could potentially do so much to help each others futures.

2.) 22 Aug 2019 22:10:00
In January I'd rather we go all out to make his move permanent, than waste time signing squad players that won't improve us.

3.) 22 Aug 2019 22:54:58
How likely is that to be possible MgM mate? Will Real not want him to return to them if he's absolutely brilliant for us?
I know it's what a lot of fans want to be true but surely you've got to think logically rather than bulld up your hopes for something that is very unlikely to happen.
If Eddie scores 40 goals for Leeds will he turn his back on Arsenal to stay?
It's possible but unlikely.

4.) 22 Aug 2019 23:28:36
Depends on him to be honest g62, no club wants there best players to leave but if his heart is set on it than he'll leave.

5.) 23 Aug 2019 01:04:05
Let’s hope if we can do something special this season with him then he can have other ideas.

6.) 23 Aug 2019 05:31:11
Ceballos looked superb against Burnley. Let’s see if he is consistent and how he performs in a grim November away match in the North!

{Ed047's Note - I really hope so because with his ability he also looks like he’s happy to get stuck, I recall him dispossessing a Burnley player near to our corner flag in that game so he doesn’t look like a shrinking violet 911.

7.) 23 Aug 2019 08:34:54
The way he celebrated the winning goal was brilliant to see, he reminded me of Guendouzi when he displayed such brilliant passion and excitement and no team can have too much of that.

I think he would love the arsenal job! Would I want him? Probably not, like with United the style change would not appease fans, would he do a better job than emery I would say yes, . Mourinho has that attitude of a bloke who wants to shag someone else’s wife better.

Luiz good signing I think. Let’s put it this way, better than Mustafi? I think so.

{Ed018's Note - he’s much better than Mustafi. Mustafi was one of the worst center backs I saw play last season}

Just let’s not forget the next manager has to wear a suit and not just any old suit a suit that satisfies Paul scholes, let’s not forget that every time I saw Paul scholes in a suit I thought he was at court on a charge 👍🏼.

people ain’t born equal and they never will be that’s why you have to hope that your parents were not Morons and the fact that your child would be born with a chance if you don’t have 8 kids on benefits. Can’t bitch about people been successful and wanting to keep the money for their children so they have a jump start . Life my friend all this commie nonsense talk in my opinion .
