Josh Windass linked with Arsenal. interesting one this is as I recently went and watched my local side Argyle v Accrington and this lad stood out head n shoulders above the rest. Yes I know it's league 2 standard but Argyle are playing some great stuff and this guy turned up and dominated the middle both defense and going forward. ggot a standing ovation when subbed at 80mins as the home park faithful were glad to see him taken off! Defo one to keep an eye on.

So papers say Everton looking at deal for Callum Chambers, how about John Stones coming to the Arsenal in exchange and we also pay Everton £15 to £20m. I see that as a good deal for all parties, agreed?

Taking chambers away from saints at at that time set him back abit. Should of sent him back onloan to replace clyne eventually.
Massive stones fan and given his age 50mill is fair. Hel give us 10years at least. I know some say he makes mistakes. If he has a carear like sol Campbell then great. Loved sol.

Stones is worth £30 million plus chambers or a straight £40 million of anyone's money but I think that's to strong for Arsene tastes, hope not but I think it will prove to be.
We could try 50 mil but insist they take Mertersaacker Arteta Flamini and Rosicky as part of the deal I guess.

A 100% focused performance! In a hostile arena the team stuck to the task and delivered. Don't care who we draw in last 16 as long as we didn't end up in the spursday cup having to play Sundays. Not a rumour as such but how would my fellow Gooners feel if we made a strong move for John Stones in January or perhaps wait til end of season? I got to say he ticks the boxes for pace, control and awareness of danger. Young lad with a lot of potential imo. Anyhow joint top with £ity and in need of this 2 week break to re-charge and go again for the title! COYG!

Very good defender, young and I'd be very happy to have him at Arsenal. BUT, it's never going to happen since it would require a high transfer fee and I think Wenger is happy with our defenders - including Gabriel, who I believe will soon enough take Per's place in the 11. To be fair, I'd feel sorry for Gabriel if we went and spent loads of money on a starting CB.

Arsene would never pay 40+ million for a defender but I'd love us to get him, Gabriel Kos and Stones? Quality by the quater dozen and I'd have no problem with rotating them or even playing all 3 if Le Coq was injured.

The thing is though if you want the best players then you got to pay for the best players. We have scrimped and saved since the move to the Emirates and now I feel the budget is and can be made available. Surely if the best home talent is out there it needs to snapped up and Arsenal should be having a look at players like Stones. Christ we payed £16m for chambers who in time will develop into a quality player. pay the asking price this guy is future England captain material with years ahead of him. imo it's the missing link with perhaps another out n out striker like Higuain. i have nothing against Gabriel as I feel depth and back up is needed as it's every year we are in the mix for a title push or CL run. We pay top dollar at the turnstiles so let's see top dollar on the pitch. Ed25 you're right Stones is a gem! ;)

Big indication of Benzemas future will be if he starts tonight's game for Real at Gijon.If he starts and grabs a goal or two or some assists than Benitez will hang on to him, if he doesn't start I'm sure the cameras will zoom in on the bench and commentators will put the cat amongst the pigeons! Eds would I be right in saying he's fit and no reason not to be selected? Cheers and role on Monday eve 2 nil to the rip roaring gunners!

I just can't see it happening. Benzema is at Real Madrid who have a high chance of La Liga title and no doubt minimum of a semi final in the Champions League. He also has his France spot to hold down and playing at Real Madrid he will get his chance even though people chirp up that Rafa will play Bale or Ronaldo as the out and out striker leaving Benzema out, can't see that if Benzema plays and plays well he`ll keep his spot surely? Now if he decides to sign for Arsenal his situation changes he now has to adapt to the EPL and all the pressure to perform instantly to win over the Gooners and to hold down a France strikers spot for Euros2016. Of the two choices staying at Real looks more comfortably but hey what do I know.....money may talk but can anyone see Wenger lumping it on Benzema or another top top striker like Lewandowski, Higuain or Llorente? Arsene pays what he feels the price the player is worth and i'm sorry todays market is still on the rise for quality. Keep the faith Gooners we could still have Lord Bedtner or Sanogo within the squad. COYG

I went Saturday v Sunderland and Mesut was quality. Ran the show and put in a shift that got us over the line. AW bought a gem and with Sanchez and now a worldy keeper in Cech between the sticks things are looking good. Still need a battling midfielder in January and I'd make a move for Stones @ Everton for cover to our cbs.

Great post TB, a tiny bit of tinkering in the summer with no big names leaving and I've got a good feeling for next season. Arsene has took us through the highs & lows but I'd have to say if he left who is out there to take us forward? Arsene bleeds red & white for our club! Whisper it Gooners.....The double is still on! Dags, is the R for Ramsey or Rosicky? I'd give Rosicky a run out as Rambo has just lost his way lately with mis-passes. Rambo will get it back as he knows the standards he has to step up to make the starting line up. I'm going to go 4-1 tonight time to get mean and bang in the goal difference. COYG
