Hi guys,

So I have been doing a little research about the comments made by Ed002 and the female part atleast as I at first also thought he ment Alegri. Then I went through a list of manager names and tried to see if there was a connection of some sorts. I found 1 and it is as follows.

Faria: Muslim girl name meaning Prosperous Woman. As I said it was just a little research I did and is by no means a sign of who the next manager is. Just a possible hint at what the Ed was pointing at.

So my question to Ed002 is (if you get the time to read this) , is this the subtle hint that you were throwing us. yes, no, maybe?

Anyways, thought I would show you all results and start your brain cogs in motion for a few days of conspiracy theories. Sorry I don't post much anymore but working aay in Sweden does not often allow me so much time nowadays.

Gavsta

{Ed002's Note - I can now confirm that the next Arsenal manager will be male or female. You are due a treat. And it almost certainly wwon’t now be Louise Enrique.}

1.) 12 May 2018 23:03:08
Damn Ed002 that narrows the field just a little. You and your cryptic clues. Ow wait I got it. Its got to be an ex football player that's a man and loves to roll around on the floor when he hasent been touched by another player. Well i'm guessing your not giving any more clues then you already have Ed, but you have to see in some way that my theory does make a little sense atleast. doesent it?

2.) 14 May 2018 00:15:15
Arteta.

As much as i hate to say it, we made a mistake selling Giroud. he will be great for chelski. That aside I understand why we did it.

Ozil is like a new signing (blah blah, same story old Wenger) . PEA is a class addition to the squad, especially after the swap of Sanchez. Will they gel together? I have no idea.

The front line looks really good. Mkhi can cover both wings if needed and the resigning of Ozil can't be shaded down. its good business all round. BUT, it does not help our leaky midfield or lack of tracking back from Xhaka.

It also does not help our leaky defence. We are now in the region of scoring more goals then our counterparts. I just hope we can do this or our season is a complete waste. i'm behind the eam either way, but I think its time for change in the management department.

sorry I was meant to say leaky defence.

2.) 03 Feb 2018 08:56:28
The imbalance in the squad is frightening. We are asking players not suited to the job to perform defensive duties. In earlier Wenger teams we only carried one player that wasn't able to defend well. Overmars and Pires are example. Now we have so many players unable to tackle; Ozil, Bellerin, Mkhitaryan, Iwobi, etc. Stubborn Wenger will not cure this, alas it's time to move him on and bring in Simeone.

Any truth to us being back in for Sneiderlein eds?

{Ed002's Note - Carvalho is the focus.}

Hi all,

Can anyone please tell me what Cesc Fabregas has done to upset the Barca fans. I am away atm visiting family in France and can't seem to find the full story unless I subscribe to a certain newspaper. (not going to happen).

Any help would be much obliged as allways.

Gavsta

1.) I always felt Fabregas was overrated and slow. I cannot understand fellow Arsenal fans love in for him, as he engineered a transfer whilst captain and with 3 years left on his contract. I hope we don't sign him.

{Ed025's Note - i agree the way he left was not ideal robbie, but come on mate, he is a fantastic player mate..

2.) Yeah Robbie same with xavi pirlo iniesta xabi alonso as well eh slow anf overrated imagine if we had to suffer having players like these in are team haha

3.) The way he left wasn't nice, like everyone that leaves in recent years, but Fabregas is an unbelievable player mate. One of the best to play for us, if we are to get the best out of Ramsey (hopefully there's more to come) I think Fabby could be a top tutor for him, zelalem and eisfeld.

(I'll leave Crowley out the list because wilshere will be his mentor ;) )

4.) Cesc has played left wing 8 times, midfield 24 times and as a CF 14 times, he has played wherever he has been needed, bis best position has and will always be behind the CF.

they can't play him there because of the system they currently play, which means messi drops deep and he becomes the no10, no doubt he is brilliant but its like rooney doing that and making mata serve no purpose.

he can be the next xavi, although not exactly at his level. Cesc needs runners, he needs the wingers to give him that option, but with the fullbacks also lining up the corners, just means that the defense sits back and then it turns into one long passing game.

The fans are clearly just spoilt. they cheer for pedro and sanchez, but boo cesc, the same player whose all around game is the best from the midfield point.

For me the biggest mistake barcelona have made this season sums it up in 3 points.

1) not selling Dani Alves
2) not buying a CB
3) buying neymar

that kid is not going to be a world beater in that system where everything flows or goes thru messi.

he would do well to get smart and ask for a transfer, but knowning barca to save face they will sack the next 10 managers and blame them for the team being so bad.

more than a club afterall

5.) I think Fabregas is technically good, but he lacks the pace necessary to become a great player and he hasn't improved at Barca and the fans clearly agree with my sentiments.

6.) 22 Apr 2014 19:11:08
So Bergkamp wasn't a great player then because he didn't have pace. You haven't got a clue Robbie. Fabregas' game has absolutely nothing to do with pace. He isn't technically good, he is technically brilliant and would walk into any club side in the world. Talking about his pace is like talking about Lionel Messi's ability to play at right back. Completely irrelevant. He is one of the best midfield players of recent history and anybody can see it.

7.) According to the DM online, they blame him for the champions league exit

8.) 23 Apr 2014 02:48:26
Yeah but according to Robbie, they blame him for a lack of pace. Out of interest Robbie, which of the best out and out central midfielders in Europe do you believe are blessed with pace? Although according to Robbie we will be managed by Uwe Rosler and Dennis Bergkamp next season. Fantastic.

9.) Ubistonk. I reiterate, that Fabregas lacks the pace to make him a great player. Bergkamp is a different player, who played in a different style. It could be argued that even Bergkamp failed to hit the very top, with the likes of Maradonna, Pele, etc, due to his lack of pace. Remember he failed miserably at Inter and didn't win the Champions League nor the World Cup. Fabregas left Barca as a 15 year old, he left. Arsenal despite being captain & with 3 years on his contract & now the Barca fans want him gone. I can't recall us ever wanting Bergkamp to leave. Would I want Fabregas back? No thanks, he ranks alongside Cole, RVP & Nasri, as players who engineered moves. I would far rather we rely on players such as Ox, Gnabry & Walcott to provide technique, power and pace.

10.) 23 Apr 2014 11:59:04
You used the term 'great player', so I gave Bergkamp as an example. If you are now saying that he wasn't a great player then you really are making yourself look silly. Why are you talking about Theo and Gnabry? They are wingers, of course they are going to have pace. Pele and Maradona were not central midfielders either. I ask you once again to name me a top quality centre mid who is blessed with pace. Xavi has been the best over the last 10 years and he has no pace. Zidane was the best before that and he wasn't quick.

11.) Ubistonk - I adore comments such as yours. These are rumours, not facts, hence they change. Instinctively, I believe Wenger will leave this season, I may of course be wrong. If he does leave, the replacement is subject to rumour & the strongest one I have from a quality source, who told me of the impending signing of Sol Campbell and also Arsene Wenger, before any of us had even heard of him, is currently Uwe Rosler.
As for the pace comment regarding Fabregas, there are of course numerous rapid central midfield players. Fabregas is particularly slow and disloyal, both to Barca & Arsenal. I could give you a list of players I would prefer in a central midfield position, which include our own Oxlade-Chamberlain. Would I want Fabregas back, no thanks. Personally, I would like to see us sign a couple of tall, athletic midfield players, such as Pogba. Oddly, possibly, I would like to see Pogba & Sandro in front of our back four, to give protection both for the defence & to allow our technical midfield players more freedom to attack. Incidentally, Arteta & Flamini are two players who also lack pace and boy does it show when we play the top teams. Pace is almost an essential in the modern game. There is of course the odd exception.

{Ed025's Note - no thanks to fabregas robbie?...thats called cutting your nose off, to spite your face mate..

12.) 23 Apr 2014 13:22:30
Haha, so just to confirm, you would rather have Ox in the middle of the park instead of Fabregas. Ok, I don't need to add anything else to that. Thankyou for all of the hilarious words.

13.) Ubistonk - Yes I would rather have Ox in central midfield over Fabregas. I fail to understand fellow Arsenal fans love in for Fabregas. Ask Barca fans who they would prefer in central midfield Ox or Fab? There is a reason he is being boo'd by Barca fans. Think about it.

14.) Ed025 - Its not cutting off my nose to spite my face, I simply don't rate him as highly as others. 50 per cent of Barca fans want him to be sold. He is Barca to the core, so its simply that they don't rate him. I believe we have lots of options in his position, we need better defensive midfield players to replace Arteta & Flamini. Attacking-wise we have many options. We have Wilshere, Ox, Ramsey, Ozil, Rosicky, Cazorla, Abu Diaby (if he stays fit!). We have Walcott & Gnabry wide right. We have Podolski wide left. We need a further wide left option, obviously Fab isn't a wide left player. So to reiterate I would not want us to sign Fabregas.

15.) Ubistonk - We can continue to discuss players other than Fabregas and I will back any statement that I make. I do wish you were able to read & understand my comments without making irrelevant, rude, inane comments. If Fabregas is so good, then why do 50% of Barca fans polled want him to be sold? Why are Barca fans booing him? To compare him to Iniesta, Xavi & Zidane is absurd in the extreme.

16.) You see what you want to see Robbie. Read my post, I said that Zidane and Xavi are the best centre mids in recent history and they don't have pace. Where did I say that Cesc is as good as them? I didn't because he isn't, so it is your response that is absurd. If I was to name some of the best centre mids of recent times, I would be thinking Xavi, Iniesta, Zidane, Xabi Alonso, Pirlo, Vierra, Gerrard, Keane, Schweinsteiger. How many of those guys are blessed with pace? None. Centre mids don't need to be quick because their role in a game of football does not require it.

17.) Ubistonk. I believe you underestimate the pace of certain midfield players. The ones you mention are all considerably quicker than Fabregas. Do you seriously consider that Vieira & Keane lacked pace! In the modern game pace is vital. Of course certain of the players you mention could make space with the quality of their play, but were certainly not lacking pace. Ignoring the pace argument, why do you think 50% of Barca fans want Fabregas to leave? I reiterate that I would not want him to rejoin Arsenal, we have plenty of capable players who play in his position & he walked out on us.

Sorry to burst anyones bubble as that's not my intentions.

Apparently the Daily Fail are reporting that Ceasc Fabregas has told his frindes he would like to move to the mancs.

How true its I don't know so please don't shoot the messenger.

If he go's there fine but I admit I will be slightly, no extremely p£$$^$*&%^% off.

But hey welcome to our world, we say the same every season. I. E. spend big and we go halfway cause we don't get the targets for the price we want/expect.

I am not complainingI will support the teap no matter what but I still get aggitated. Its hard being a Gooner sometimes but I hope AW has some good back up plans.

I didn't expect us to resign Cesc but if we just let him go I will be a little peed to say the least.

Gavsta

1.) LOL! don't believe the HYPE! Fab has always said if its not from his mouth than don't believe it also. Wasn't it in the papers 2 wks ago Cesc has told friends he wanted to stay in Barca? Ate these the same friend

2.) Fab4 will be an Arsenal player again. I'm 100% sure.

Flemish Gooner

3.) He has also told friends he doesn't want to leave barca- pick up a newspaper and take your pick.

4.) What a giant waste of time that post was. would you consider song a close friend of cesc? and what did he say recently? cesc won't leave.

5.) If Fabregas goes to Man U, it'd be the ultimate insult. You place your faith in certain players loving the club in the way that we do and almost every time, we're disappointed. This would be the ultimate slap in the face.
I fully expect Suarez to go to Madrid, who are even shorter than us for strikers now. As I keep saying, we'll end up with a loan deal at the last minute. My guess is Ba, and another season struggling for 4th. I do hope i'm wrong. By the way, in my opinion, a goalkeeper is more a priority than any other position at the moment.
Priorities:
1. keeper
2. Centre half
3. CDM
4. Striker.
5. 2nd choice keeper.

6.) It's just a classic case of lazy journalism. No actual quotes from anyone to back the story up.

7.) But, its the daily mail.

NE Gooner

8.) Cesc stopped being an Arsenal player the minute he signed for Barcelona. Just let it go.

9.) A waste of time maybe, but all I am doing is passing on info that I read and stating my opinion (which I am sure I am entitled to).

That does not give you the right to come on here and start verbally assaulting people, its impolite and rude. Grow up troll.

Still it is complete S#1t as now Barca manager has statet on sly sports news not for sale, to important.

10.) Just making up space to fill the papers. Manchester United and fish eyes can dream of Cesc coming.
But funny how clubs bid for AFC players and the papers jump on it trying to assist and make it happen.

11.) Fabregas will be at gunners or barca next year, he obviously loves barca and is still good friend with AW why would got man utd?

Just watching the ladies against the chicken ladies in the FA cup. been watching them a lot lately and I must admit I think there game is very exciting to watch.

Have to say that our Miedema lady reminds me of the female version of a certain DB10. Sign her up for the men#s team!

Surely it's a no brainer if he will come.

29 Aug 2017 00:01:24
So the Ox is on his way to Chelsea. Good luck to him. Not our greatest player but i think we could of shifted a lot worse players first.

I for one do not blame him for wanting to play for another club at this moment in time. let's hope we can actually spend some money and get in someone who wants to play for our team now.

Gavsta

1.) 29 Aug 2017 09:01:19
We can hope. You say you can't blame him for not wanting to play for us at this time. But where was these other clubs when he was having inconsistent performances and some damn crap ones on some weeks. Seems another one who have learnt their trade and got experience from us then left when they look like they're about to hit their prime. So frustrating.

2.) 29 Aug 2017 11:34:13
Agreed D16 it is frustrating, but I could name at least 10 more players in the squad that are on par or even worse on double his wages or higher.

Ox could atleast argue that he has not had a run of games in his preffered position. I would also say he has been a great sub for us at any rate and another home grown player lost.

I am not going to join the manager speculation mill untill said person is announced, can't be disappointed that way.

I get what your saying WN, I really do. It just gets a little to football management like wheb people start stating amounts spent etc.

I think the market is still open to us for another player also, but i doubt it will be until we see the bargain bucket later in the window.

Why do people try to calculste how much is or has been spent? You say a freebie etc, but in reality no one but AW and the board knows.

Take into calculation things like sign on fees, contract addons to the other club after so many games and international appearances. Do you really think he has spent that little? I doubt we have half the funds being touted around, but people will soon be counting how much we have to spend and what's left over from previouse budgets.

Im pretty sure AW will spend what he has to the last penny if he could at his pound saver value.

{Ed001's Note - oh I don't hate Bergkamp, quite the opposite. He is one of my all-time favourite players. It is agreeing with malaga that I dislike! Luckily it doesn't happen very often.

I remember you signing him and being so jealous that you got him. I still don't understand why it never worked out for him in Serie A, he was perfect for the league there.}
