Only for those who are missing Emerys way of explaining things :-)

2.) 18 Dec 2019 22:59:28
Nope - never ever. No way

Keown all day long.

3.) 18 Dec 2019 23:29:27
Wasn't Keowen a coach years ago under Arsene, or am I imagining that?

4.) 19 Dec 2019 04:10:00
Absolutely not! Adams’s was an exceptional player and captain, but he has been a poor manager and coach. It will be interesting to see who Arteta brings in as his coaches. I risk the wrath of fellow supporters, would a revitalised Wenger in an advisory role to Arteta be an idea. Be gentle with me! I am simply concerned about appointing a manager with zero management experience. We need an instant lift and I have my doubts that Arteta will bring this. I really would prefer Pochettino or Benitez, even Nuno Wolves.

I didn’t think that’d go down well lol it only came to me as one of the people who could actually install some pride for playing for the club would be Mr. Arsenal. I’m not silly, I know his post-playing career hasn’t been great but you can’t deny his passion for the club and what he demanded during his time. No one can tell me they wouldn’t give their left one for his passion and organisation in our team. I know he won’t be playing but he could at least help some of the younger ones, mav, holding, chambers and even saliba when he comes over.

Hi Cd mate, Tony is and will always be an Arsenal legend and in my opinion the best captain we've ever had but he's a prime example of great players not always making great managers or coaches, for some reason it seems quite the opposite is true most of the time where the best managers and coaches had the least glittering playing careers.
When Tony was Portsmouth manager I used to cringe listening to his totally baffling pre and post match interviews that made absolutely no sense what so ever; it wasn't difficult to understand why Portsmouth players looked completely lost under his guidance and he seems to have had the same problem everywhere he's been since Portsmouth and he's most definitely traveled far and wide in the pursuit of coaching success.
I hope Arsenal will always find Tony work should he need it but not in any coaching roles at any level because it's just not his game.

62 - he was and I thought he improved our defence. Didn’t we go on a long run of winning / clean sheets / stronger defence but then was removed 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️.

Was just thinking, would anyone else be happy selling Iwobi for 35mil and using that money as an upfront payment for Zaha? Highly doubt it's possible, but worth a debate at least.

With Luis and Tierney arriving I'd have thought anymore big name signings would really Stretch our wages mate, but I'd be very happy to see Wilf arrive too.

2.) 08 Aug 2019 09:51:17
Would have rathered move on Mkhi and play Nelson instead. We don't need Zaha, we need a cb.

3.) 08 Aug 2019 10:14:34
In full Football Manager mode sell Iwobi, and offer Mikhitaryan plus £65 mill for Zaha. So Zaha costs £30 mill to upgrade on Iwobi and we get 180 000 a week off the wage bill . Palace get a replacement for Zaha which they won`t if he leaves at 4.59pm tonight. Makes sense to me but won`t happen but what icing on the cake that would be COYG.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone from the club actually come out and said we only have 45mil to spend?
Everyone is so focused on this number and from what I can make out, it's only a number that journo's plucked after we get beat by Chelski.
I'm not saying it's false and it may have come from the club at some point, but maybe it's worth considering that the club is happy to go along with that figure so we don't get our pants pulled down on prices for players?

I said this a few weeks ago 85 mate, just goes to show how if enough people say the same thing enough times it can soon become accepted as fact when in reality there is no actual real evidence to support it being true.
I'm not sure what it's like where you live but where I am we can still get bent bananas despite the EU banning them 20 years ago :-)

2.) 20 Jul 2019 07:58:37
I am not sure if the £45m is accurate, but to date we have spent £6m on 18 year old Martinelli, whilst we have sold Ospina for £3m and obtained a £4m sell in fee for another player. So we are actually £1m in profit.
Reports indicate that Saliba, if signed, won’t arrive until next season and payments will be staggered. Ceballos will only be a loan. We are struggling to get the Tierney deal agreed. We offered £40m for Zaha and Palace want £80m, perhaps this was a ploy to sell season tickets? This doesn’t indicate that we have any more to spend than the £45m. Worrying times.

So much of what we read and hear is absolutely fairytales Arg surely the sensible thing is to simply wait and see or listen to only to those who have proved themselves to be trust worthy (Eds Ormstein) and simply take anything and everything the rest say as seriously as you would if your horoscope said you were going to win this week's lotto jackpot!
Would you Jack your job in because mystic Meg told you it was written in the stars that you would become rich this weekend Arg?
I'd say Megs track record is slightly better than most media outlets is too.

Would anyone else wantEddie Howe? He’s a manager who has a game plan, sticks to it, moves clubs the right way up the leagues/ tables.

{Ed047's Note - not anywhere near good enough for me.

I still believe that the ‘big 4 signings for lots of money’ will end up being, Everton, Tierney, Ceballos and Dani Alves. This is only my opinion lol but out of those 4, actual transfer fee-wise, I can only see two that would cost us an actual fee, 1 who would demand a large signing on fee and 1 who we may have to pay an amount to Madrid.
I’m ok with that, but really wish the club wouldn’t use the words like ‘very big, very expensive’ when the most expensive would be Zaha. Btw, I’m still thinking £55m plus Jenkinson and Elneny would get ya Zaha.
I get 55m is expensive, but in this market, it’s not exactly Neymar/ Hazard/ Felix big and expensive.
