I was interested to see the positive comments coming from Jesus, and in particular about the family mentality at the club and that there are no big egos. I think it really highlights the difference between what fans sometimes want for the club, and what the owners and management actually plan. Like others, I would love us to go out and sign the best, highest profile and most expensive midfielder and forward we can afford, but in reality, and based on Jesus comments, it's much more complex than that. It turns out that signing certain players could actually be damaging to the squad, even if they are the best in the role. We certainly don't want to sign some massive ego, no matter how good he is, and perhaps we need to be realistic that sometimes the best player for the club is not necessarily the most expensive or highest profiled player. Thankfully it is something that Arteta seems to understand.

I agree Epping, I have always believed potential new players should be interviewed like in the real world as it's so important to make sure someone is likely to gel with their new colleagues and buy into the company ethos rather than what currently exists to adapt to accommodate the.

Couldn't agree more Epping. I personally believe that is part of the reason as to why our players have a strong bond with one another. They know their role, they know their value, worth, tasks and commitment to one another and the club.
