Hi Glen I'm really looking forward to the game too mate, being totally realistic I'm not really expecting us to come away with anything from a premier league trip to Anfield points wise, our record there since being completely blown away in those cringing opening 20 minutes back in 2014 is quite possibly as bad as any clubs unwanted record anywhere.

For me just making Liverpool fight to the final whistle for anything they get from us would be a an absolute massive improvement on anything we've achieved there for getting on for a decade now and would be reason to be hopeful we might genuinely be on the right track again, actually getting something from the game points wise would be an incredible psychological boost for everyone connected to the Arsenal.

We've been on an excellent 8 game unbeaten premier league run which is obviously great shape going into Saturdays game with but we shouldn't let that underestimate the task our young guns fact on Saturday evening as this Liverpool team is the best they've had for 30 years minimum.

I'm not predicting anything either way just trying to be realistic in my expectations.

Same here Gunner mate I agree with you. I honestly don't think we should fear Liverpool though and there is every possibility that we can beat them. We just need to take the game to them and make sure we stay solid. Our spine is looking good and with confidence we can really test them. Really looking forward to it!

Very true Gunner. I’m interested in a few things… Mikel’s approach. How our young team reacts to the Kop. Mikel’s decision making in game / adaptability. Ramsdale’s distribution when under pressure. If we can keep up the pace for 90 mins and do we make Liverpool work for their result.

Don’t think it’s really a test for White as they won’t pump the ball in the air. This game should suit him and if we have the right two CM then we will make it tough for 60 mins. I just don’t think we can do it for 90. I also don’t think we are a big enough threat up front which means Liverpool will work us even harder. They won’t be concerned about PEA. I think their defence will have him in their pocket. We need 442 so Laca can pull them round a bit and hopefully ESR or ERS gets a goal as I see him as more dangerous than PEA at present.

I think we will make them work and keep it close for 60 mins then they will widen the gap. Unless Mikel bottles it or the players don’t battle like we know they can.

Either way - I’m looking forward to it.

Sy4 will be a big test for ramsdale, liverpools front 3 will put pressure on him to try and force a mistake.

Hi SY I think Mikel has everything to lose by trying to tinker and be clever in an attempt to outwit Klopp and absolutely nothing to lose by sticking what's brought about the best run of his tenure so far, in my opinion it will a good test to see if Mikel has matured and learned from previous mistakes, if Mikel sticks rather than twists that might be a win no matter what happens on the pitch in this.

Don't change what's been working for you and equally don't refuse to change what so obviously isn't working for, is my advice to Mikel, I'm sure he hangs on my every word ????.
