I have to say I agree with Ed1 in respect of football pundits. In my opinion they fall into 2 categories
1- Stating the bleeding obvious
2-talking absolute tosh.
The only one I would remotely listen to is Graeme Souness because he was a very successful player and reasonably successful as a manager.

Very true - I just enjoyed the rapid fire questions to Henry, Carra and Richards on best opponent, best player ever played with. Was some nice banter rather than the sterile bollox Hargreaves or Owen spouts out on BT sport.

Obviously there are Pundits we all enjoy and those we find it really difficult to listen to.

I love Wrighty and his heart on sleave open honesty but can not stand listening to Keowens embarrassing drivel, I have to press the mute button when he talks, excellent defender, absolutely awful pundit know my opinion.

Same as Tony Adams, great great defender but as a pundit sorry Tone.
Schmeichel was another one great keeper but talked a load of embarrassing bollocks.

I actually like Martin Keown as a pundit, no nonsense or personality, just say what you think. Owen and McManaman on the other hand, should never be allowed to speak in public full stop, let alone be paid to speak on tv. Also why is it that virtually every pundit (except Wright) who played as a forward, suddenly gets obsessed with bad defending. Why do you care about the defending Mr Ahole, you spent your entire career goal hanging and benefiting from that exact bad defending, so how about just enjoying the goal and leave the defending analysis to the ex defender pundits.

Have to agree again Bill, Tony was Mr Arsenal but I'd rather not hear him talk football, as Portsmouth manager it wasn't difficult to see why they were so bad under Tony's leadership.

I remember everyone, fans pundit and the media being in absolute hestirecs during his very bizarre pre and post match interviews, I used to be caught between feeling sorry for him while at the same time cringing and willing him to stop talking,

Tony is terrible but I like Martin as a pundit as well as Wrighty. Keane is just trying to have a fit, Souness is ok and Mcmanamanan is terrible not sure who sucks more - him, Owen or Hargreaves

I used to enjoy the originals on sky - gray and Tyler? Pires scoring against Villa and Andy screaming at him to take a bow son.

In my opinion Keane and Souness still want it to be about them and say stuff to be controversial in order to get attention, funny enough I find Mourinho respectful and quite fair in the Pundits chair, the total opposite to how he is when in the management role.
