p. es me off big time Mal. I don't get it why we have to have breaks. Teams play away in Europe midweek and come back and play weekend. As for the reason of getting the squad together to gel and the manager can get his selection and tactics right. Shouldnt he know that before he picks the squad.

In my opinion World cup and Euro qualicatuons should be played on a knock out basis with nations seeded as with Tennis
12 nations from Europe qualify for the world cup so it wouldn't take many knock out games to get down to that 12 qualifying countries needed.

Games could easily be played on a Tuesday and Wednesday as with the champions league games without disreputing domestic leagues in any way.
