We're back in the same position with Auba where both getting a fee and getting him off the payroll aren't a viable option

Any potential takers hold all the aces, we might get a swap as we did with Miki and Sanchez of course.

Depsite a poor season last season with all the struggles had to deal with personally, he's still bagged 85 goals in 150 apps since he joined. He's been superb and he deserves us to be behind him this season. If he bags another 20 you'll all be happy 👍🏻.

{Ed014's Note - if we want to achieve anything then we need a 20+ goal a season striker and Auba is the only one capable of that.

We need him positive happy and scoring goals, last week will have done him no harm.

We cannot afford to replace him so will have to hope Arteta gets a tune out of him, the guys is more than capable.

I actually agree Glen, personally I'd have sold Auba last summer once it was obvious he was going to hold the club to ransom for every penny he could get and I'd sell Tierney Saka ERS or anyone else who did the same thing as in my opinion you should offer a player a fair wage for his abilty and if that's not enough for the player involved then you should sell why you can.

But we did what we did and the only sensible option now is to try and get the best out of a player who has absolutely no resale value now armed with that contract but is very capable if motivated.
