I think they should be given a chance. Ramsdale is young, English and at an initial fee of £19m in todays market seems fair.
Odegaard again is young and is an international captain. Although he didn't set the world alight on loan he had a couple of great games for us which after everyone was being linked with him. I've always hated loans as I don't think you get the full effort from the player so hopefully a permanent deal will see him kick on.
A RB is a must before the end of the month, and I would have liked to see a CM but I think we're stuck with Xhaka now.

We also need a plan b striker who is good in the air. Teams have worked out if they force us wide there is no danger even with good crosses being put into the box.

Not just there - let then play from the back and then put pressure on them, lump the ball up and bully White, put Granit immediately under pressure, let us have possession, lump balls into our box and let our wingers put in as many crosses as you like as no one challenges for headers. We are extremely easy to play against unless all 11 are on top top form.

We keep saying a RB is essential but it’s not, the defence out performed the attack last season, if PEA had performed last season we would have been too 6, comfortably.

It's not a dilemma because they are both versatile. ESR can play off the left, MO can play off the right and both of them can play in the middle, maybe even as a pairing, why not 🤷🏻‍♂️ nothing wrong with healthy competition.

Oxford two things. Firstly wasn't esr injured for all them games? Secondly something I feel many on here need pointing out and online in general. Esr played most of his career through the ranks on the wing cutting in. Not behind the forward like odegaard does. There's no reason they won't play together and play well together.

True 62 but let’s be honest - the knives are out fir Edu and Arteta plus this window has not helped them one bit as I think it’s been useless waste of money in the short term and does nothing to improve our starting 11. Look at how much we spent. Look at the “targets” we were after and the clear out we needed . Then look at what we did. Merse has a point

I’m not saying Ode or White are crap - I’m saying I didn’t want either of them nor the keeper as I don’t see them improving the team. Edu has been useless and the window was full of broken promises

We’ve spent a fortune on the spare tyre but still got the same bloody car and driver.

I will get off the fence and say we have no vision of what we want snd hence our signings are poor despite the board throwing millions at Arteta.

No he wasn’t D16, ESR had two injuries last season, one in October ( 43 days, shoulder injury ) and one in January which was a minor knock.
