It could well be a big clear out and busy summer coming up for Arsenal.

Willock, Maitland-Niles and Bellerin look set to leave. I reckon Eddie and Lacazette will also leave so a striker will need to be signed with Balogun getting game time next season to.
Those 5 transfer fees alone will be a decent amount towards new signings.

Ceballos and Odegaard's loans come to an end and I don't think either player will be signed permanently. Madrid will ask too much for MO and Dani doesn't cut the mustard so to speak.

I don't see us renewing Luiz's contract either so hopefully this is the time for Saliba to be in the fold with Holding, Mari and Gabriel.

Without anyone else exiting the club, that already leaves us needing to sign 2 midfielders and a striker, as well as the LB we know we already need to cover KT.

8 players out, 3 players in and a lot more business needed after that too in my opinion.

Thoughts everyone?

I think you're right about most of these transfers, but I expect Wilock to return. I put signing MO at 50/ 50.

{Ed002's Note - Newcastle want to buy him.}

That sounds about right if buyers can be found and the right quality persuaded to come in. Neither of those look guaranteed to me.

I don’t disagree but I’d add more - I’d add Leno, the young keeper we signed to replace Emi, Elneny and Granit to the list plus others on loan

Out - Matteo, Kola, Ozil

Questions over Chambers but good squad player.

May be AMN could be a squad player and give Nelson one season to make it

I would like to keep Mavropanos.

Torria and Guendozi still to sell yet too Glen, they have no Arsenal future as we stand.

This is more or less close to what we have to do. well said, Glenn.

Yeah I'm fully expecting more and I completely forgot about Torreira and Matteo as well. There are so many that finding buyers for them all is going to be tough and we could easily try and move on 13/ 14 players. With incomings as well its too much for 1 window. Maybe Matteo could be reintroduced who knows. Also, if you get rid of 13/ 14 players how you balance the squad? Tough but ruthless decisions are needed.

Agree but he needs to own the squad at start of season - no excuses.

Just reading these lists of players who probably leave shows the amount of garbage we have bought in the past.

Recruitment needs to be better.

Saliba has to come back in, he has been great for Nice.

{Ed014's Note - 100% on that one Sparky

Add Cedric to the above list also

So out - Leno, Rúnarsson, Bellerin, Cedric, Luiz, kola, Matteo, Torriera, Elneny, Granit, Laca and Eddie. Plus Dani and Ode (14 out plus possibly Chambers, willock, AMN, Nelson, PEA, Willian and a CD as we have 5) .

That makes 21 I would happily sell or return as loaned!

Saliba and Mavropanos need to return 💯

Keep for sure -

Ryan,

Holding, Gabriel, Mari, Mavropanos and Saliba - not sure we can keep 5 CDs happy

Tierney - captain

ESR, Saka, Partey, Pepe, Martinelli and Balogun.

So need - GK, RB, LB, CDM, CAM and Striker

Keep some of the possibles as squad players if money isn’t strong enough

MA said let’s get ruthless

The above needs a few strong leaders with a winning mentality as lots of youngsters who need coaching / role models

Need a clinical striker, an Ox in midfield and a creative forward thinking CAM or we just won’t score or have a spine.

Agree with most. I would also add Pepe to that list. He won’t be sold because we can’t take the loss, which would again show what a shambles we are for spending that much on him in the first place, but if we could get over 30m for him I would ship him out. Also I wouldn’t sell Elneny. He is the perfect squad player, never moans or causes trouble for lack of first team action, runs his socks off, and this season has played well every time he has been asked, and ultimately isPerfect cover for Partey. Would love one of the top premiership number 8s to come into central midfield once we ship Xhaka out. Either Bissouma from Brighton, Ward-Prowse from Soton, or Neves from Wolves would do nicely.

Bissouma and Partey = Happy SY4

Strong partnership in front of a strong CD partnership and Tierney on left

Like it.

Pepe stays. Its a big if but IF we could play to his strengths and get him in behind he can do the business. Feeding the ball to him with his back to goal on the half way line won't achieve anything.

Under the right manager Pepe and the entire squad could flourish. Arteta isn't going anywhere though so he needs to work out his gameplan sharpish and stick to it every week.

I don't want to see stupid senseless changes, I don't want to see 5 changes to the squad every week, I don't want to see players out of position and I certainly don't want to see us passing it sideways for 90 minutes any longer.

Pick up the ball and drive forward, 2 touch football and close down hard and fast off the ball 👍🏻.

Seaman catches corner and rolls ball to Cole - 10 to 15 seconds later Henry shooting

Seems like a lifetime ago.

I'd like to see Pepe, Xhaka and Laca stay. They have plenty to offer and also seem key mentors to the youngsters coming through. If we let Auba go then I think all 3 could be starting 11 and would be happy to stick around.
