I think the Arteta criticism re. Leno is a bit off. Although I agree Martinez was undroppable after his stint, I'm sure there would have been significant input from the goalkeeper coach/ es.

Well Martinez kept 17 clean sheets this season ( so far ) so someone at Arsenal got it VERY wrong didn’t they?

If only the Martinez mistake was our biggest problem!

Yes it was a mistake but given how much is wrong at the club it was far from a crucial mistake.

Slightly disagree mate, I played in a back four at a good level if you have a keeper that doesn’t fill you with confidence it makes you vulnerable and disorganised. The spine of the team is crucial to the strength of the XI on field . Leno has been appalling end of .

His ball distribution, he doesn’t dominate in the box, he punches the majority of the time . Matt Ryan caught more balls in 90 minutes than Leno had the previous 10 games.

Leno has undoubtedly had a poor season mate and i am not looking ti excuse his form but equally he's never had a settled CB paring or even FB pairing to work with and build any kind of understanding with.

Partey and Gabriel have struggled too but in a settled side they would stand more chance of adapting to premier league life and into a new club.

Chopping and changing doesn't help you build anything.

I must admit I get nervous these days when Leno's goal is threatened. His confidence seems to have dipped since the injury and he seems more hesitant somehow.
