Firstly i am disappointed we didn`t win as I believe United are bang average. Secondly agree our set pieces are woeful. Thirdly Pepe is not looking £72 mill worth of talent but what do you do rest or persevere - me persevere. So we have a front three of PEA on fire a passenger in Pepe and an 18 year old ( who did well ) . We are a different animal when Laca returns. Could have played Cebaillos and been more attacking but then had we lost it would be tactics naive away from home should have been more defensive to avoid United hitting us on the break like it has been pointed out on here they have done the last few seasons. Also interested in where this midfield monster is we should have played. Injury and match fitness forced the line up last night which was pretty attacking on paper. And to blame a guy for not standing there and get hit in the face with a ball hit from less than 10 yards at 80 miles an hour is fecking ridiculous. Didn`t notice the over confidence before the game of easy win, we`ll thrash them in fact the tone of Pogba and Rashford back was it`s a tougher game now. We got a point away at United and fourth in the table which apparently is poor because we are behind Leicester and only ahead of West Ham on alphabet. Forget we are ahead of Spurs United and Chelsea. Really easy to pick holes in anything but don`t moan for moaning sake We`re not fourth from bottom despite Pool away United away and NLD in 7 games! Me i`m looking forward to this season as when we get Laca Hector Tierney and Holding back fit and firing we can push on from fourth from TOP. Leno very impressive i thought . Reality is we are all way behind Pool and City and top four is all we can hope for as it sits. If we drop out of top five or six Emery will be gone but the least we can do is support and be positive particularly as we are fourth ! COYG.

A solitary defeat in 7 league matches and 2 cup matches. That away to CL winners and top placed Liverpool.
We are having to bed in new players and youngsters, which takes time.
I thought a 1-1 draw away to Man U was a decent result and we could end the week with a second EL win and in all probability up into 3rd place ahead of Leicester who face top placed Liverpool.
Before the season began, I would have accepted being top four, with 1 defeat in 7 league matches and two good cup wins.
We have been without our 2 best full backs and arguably our top CB. In addition Lacazette has been out.
I wish fellow gooners would stop whinging and get behind the manager, the captain and the team.

We have to accept it the team attacking are good but defence is shambolic and even with Tierney and Bells to come back it's not going to change right away and we do really need a leader in there. Nice to see youngsters getting in and is that because he's no other options?
Pepe is struggling and is better on wing like Saka. Xhaka is a referees genius getting booked every game and is there not a better leader to help us. You say stop moaning but we are not used to bad tactics and Dick Emery is full of them. So so much behind the top teams and how we are 3rd is amazing. Give us back the fighting spirit and get us up there with the best I say.

Toff you can't say there ain't no fighting spirit maybe bizarre team selections and tactics but emery has got them fighting if only he could get them organised for 90+ mins on a consistent basis then we could do great things, everyone has a point those saying to cut Emery a bit of slack and those who are tired of the above negatives in my post one thing I know is we all love this

In our first 7 league matches we have played Liverpool and Man U away and Toot at home, with only a single defeat. We have walloped Eintracht 3-0 away from home and a young side thrashed Forest in the League Cup.
We moved out many players in the summer and made some decent signings. We have had 4 defenders out injured, of which 3 would arguably be first choice.
Man C and Liverpool have been put together over a few seasons and at huge cost. Assuming we finish the week in 3rd place, with 2 wins in the EL, this will be a positive start to the season. With the mess left behind by Gazidis and Wenger, it is as good as it could be. Give Emery the opportunity to form the squad as he wishes. He has after all only had one season at the helm.

{Ed001's Note - so you played one good team and two in disarray and lost to the good team. Hardly something to crow about if you have any knowledge of football whatsoever.}
