Hi Ed, any substance to the Tielemans deal to Arsenal being finalized? Thanx and cheers.

I reckon this will rumble on to the end of the window as we don't (quite rightly) want to pay the rumoured £30m to £35m being suggested for him as he's in the last year of his contract.

I know you lot are down on him but I've been pretty impressed with the club's transfers this past 12-14 months, so if they really want Tielemans and he isn't a backup, I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt and let him have a fair chance before I cast judgement.

It’s not so much that I am down on Tielemans, he is a good player with premiership experience, so he ticks boxes, but I can’t help feeling a bit like a Bullseye competitor from the eighties when hearing Jim Bowen saying” Let’s see what you could of won” I wonder if we should keep our powder dry for someone better, who perhaps would be a direct replacement, or cover for TP if needed, but who would also be very strong pairing with him as well. I think Tielemans is more of a Xhaka replacement, and I am not sure a Xhaka and Tielemans central midfield partnership (if TP is absent) would scare too many teams?

Not me Wire, I rate him and think/ hoping the current mindset of the squad will prevent him being lazy which is what he has been accused of being by some. He`s quality in my opinion, Ed014 not so much haha #LetItGo
