Hi Ed002 have done a search and it has been a while since a last update where you intimated Tielemans Melo and Fabian Ruiz were players we have looked at. Is that the order of preference and are we actively pursuing Tielemans and left field are we looking at Paqueta seriously? Thanks in advance and for all info you impart.

{Ed002's Note - There is no real order. I think Melo may still be the best option.

Arthur Melo (CM/DM) Available - has not worked out in Europe. Barcelona skinned Juventus of Pjanic and cash and it has largely been a disaster in Turin. Juventus want to revamp the midfield with Arthur, McKennie, Ramsey and Rabiot all seen as surplus to requirements. All are for sale and all can be used in exchanges. The problem remains finding takers for the likes of these players who pull a total of €600k in weekly wages will be difficult - but there are mugs out there. Arsenal have asked after taking Arthur on loan - and that might be attractive if a buyer can't be found and Arsenal were to pay his wages. Juventus could look to grabbing unhappy bunny Gabiel as part of the deal. I am sure there is knocking on the door of St James Park.

Youri Tielemans (CM) right now he will not sign a new contract so will be available in the summer at a reduced fee. His agent confirmed that there is interest from Real Madrid who are looking for a Luka Modric replacement, interest from Spurs and that he has been approached by a third party representing Newcastle, but Spurs and Newcastle are unlikely destinations. He is aware that other clubs, including Bayern Munich and Liverpool, have scouted the player but not declared an interest. Interest of the Manchester sides has probably gone as both are looking at other midfield options but they will be back if they cannot get their first choice players - and MU are struggling. Arsenal and Juventus provide wildcard options but Arsenal will have to focus on fixing other issues in the squad first and Juventus, whilst needing significant midfield changes are looking to preferred options. I suspect that Real Madrid will shift their interest leaving Manchester United and Arsenal to work on a transfer.

Fabian Ruiz (CM/DM/AM) was seen by Real Madrid as a replacement for Kroos and/or Modric but is not first choice - although they could still turn to him and are keeping their interest known to Napoli - but it is likely waning in consideration of other options. There have been discussions with his agent involving Manchester City, Arsenal, Newcastle and Bayern Munich - although the player is not keen on a move to England or Germany. Napoli have also met and spoken with Barcelona who see him as a possible replacement for Pjanic but they have to integrate their youngsters. I am not aware of any approach to his agent or Napoli by Liverpool. His agent thinks that PSG and Manchester United could also look to him. Do not lose sight of Inter. Wage demands are putting clubs off.}

Thank you Ed002 great info much appreciated! We aren’t looking to be daft and use Gabriel as an incentive to Juventus for Melo are we? Have a great week and thanks again.

Ed002, with Bremer going to Juventus do you expect Gabriel (CB) to stay at Arsenal?

{Ed002's Note - Gabriel Magalhaes (CB) Unhappy with the club and agent has been seeking options for some months. Attractive to Barcelona as he is left footed and would be cheaper than a number of other targets, but Barcelona say wage demands are too high. As with other transfers, Barcelona will look to offload one or more of their unwanted players as part of the deal - Memphis Depay may be the only one of interest to Arsenal. Juventus will offer an option after de Ligt has left - with Rabiot and Melo available to trade. Arsenal want him to stay, and like Salisu, could force him to stay.}

Hi Ed, you point to Gabriel as an unhappy bunny. Another case of Arteta and a personality clash? Big trouble if so.

{Ed002's Note - The issues with the players like Gabriel and Salisu are about more than that.}

Would you care to share why he is unhappy Ed, as I’ve seen reports saying he is very happy at arsenal so just wondering what the situation is thanks have a great day.

{Ed002's Note - We are not going to open that up again.}

Thanks for insight Ed002. The whole makeup of the club at current is concerning me. Sounds like we’re a bit of a ticking time bomb….

Seeing that a deal in principle has been agreed with Tielemans but it's dependent on departures - could be a number of different players but clubs preference is to move on Xhaka and Torreria.
