It's not a strong rumour but I've just read Odegaard might be available because RM need to balance their finances. Also Isco. This might be interesting:)

I am not sure we need either to be honest Sally. Both would get in the way of ESR and Marinellis game time and subsequently their first team development. Personally if I was ESR and we signed either I would be straight on the phone to Villa. Also I know Isco is a very good player but I have a thing in signing players who are shorter than the match day mascot! Not sure he would last very long in the PL.

It looks like Joe has decided he wants Newcastle, Granit appears to be off to Roma, Torreira off somewhere, Ainsley seems a little unsettled. So that leaves Emile, Bakayo (possibly) Thomas and Mo as definites (unless I've missed someone haha) . Unless we have a little gem coming through from London Colney do you think that's enough Epping?

I agree, I don't think either of these players is an improvement on Emile. I would prefer to develop our kids, even if it means missing out on Europe again.

Definitely not Sally, we do need more. But I think we need to strengthen in the CM area rather than across that front 3/ 4. I know the Willian signing proved to be a poor decision, but I do understand why we signed him (just not at that salary! ) . When you have the likes of Saka, Marinelli and ESR breaking into the first team, I don’t see how signing an established international who is only a few years older can be in any way positive for those players. That player will instantly move ahead of them in the first XI, otherwise why would they sign for us, and also being young, will be around for a long while. For me if I was ESR, Saka or Martinelli, that would be a real slap in the face and I would consider my career at the club. That’s why I understand signing someone like Willian, as in it’s someone who should offer a short term option who allows those players to rest, but who ultimately is not a long term threat to their development and first team chances. It’s funny, but maybe someone like Isco, who I laughed at, might actually fit that 2nd category?

The problem Davy is ESR is a kid, so they will want to manage him - he can't play every game. Although without Europe it's easier.
